Light propagation around a Kerr-like black hole immersed in an inhomogeneous anisotropic plasma in Rastall gravity: Analytical solutions to the equations of motion

In this paper, we explore the behavior of light ray trajectories in the exterior geometry of a rotating black hole within the Rastall theory of gravity, which is surrounded by an inhomogeneous anisotropic electronic cold plasma. By specifying the plasma's frequency profile, we derive fully analytical solutions for the temporal evolution of spacetime coordinates using elliptic integrals and Jacobi elliptic functions. These solutions illustrate various possible orbits. Throughout the study, we compare the results with those in the vacuum case, emphasizing the influence of plasma. Additionally, we utilize the analytical solutions to establish the lens equation for the considered spacetime. The investigation also addresses the significance of spherical photon orbits on critical trajectories, by presenting several examples.

Gravitational lensing in dispersive media and deflection angle of charged massive particles in terms of curvature scalars and energy-momentum tensor

In this work we extend the approach used in [Emanuel Gallo and Osvaldo M. Moreschi, Phys. Rev. D 83, 12 083007 (2011)] to the study of weak gravitational lensing in a plasma medium. First, we present expressions for the deflection angle and optical scalars in terms of the components of the energy-momentum tensor for spherically symmetric lenses surrounded by a cold non-magnetized plasma. Second, we show that the same expressions can be deduced using the Gauss-Bonnet theorem. Finally, we establish a correspondence between the spatial orbits of photons in a non-homogeneous plasma and the non-geodesic curves followed by test massive particles whose dynamics also depend on an external central field. As an application, we use the Gauss-Bonnet theorem to compute the deflection angle of the non-geodesic trajectories followed by relativistic test massive charged particles in a Reissner-Nordström spacetime.

On the consistency of warm inflation in the presence of viscosity

This paper studies the stability of warm inflationary solutions when the viscous pressure is taken into account. The latter is a very natural and physically motivated ingredient of warm inflation and is seen to widen the stability range of warm inflation. The spectral index parameters, $n_{s}$, $n_{T}$, and their ratio are derived. The corresponding WMAP7 data are used to fix some parameters of the model. Two specific examples are discussed in detail: (i) a potential given by $V(ϕ, T) = v_{1}(ϕ)\, + \, v_{2}(T)$, and (ii) a potential of the form $V(ϕ, T) = α\, v_{1}(ϕ) \, v_{2}(T)$. In both cases, the viscosity has little impact on the said ratio.
