Superintegrability of 3-dimensional Hamiltonian systems with conformally Euclidean metrics. Oscillator-related and Kepler-related systems

We study four particular 3-dimensional natural Hamiltonian systems defined in conformally Euclidean spaces. We prove their superintegrability and we obtain, in the four cases, the maximal number of functionally independent integrals of motion. The two first systems are related to the 3-dimensional isotropic oscillator and the superintegrability is quadratic. The third system is obtained as a continuous deformation of an oscillator with ratio of frequencies 1:1:2 and with three additional nonlinear terms of the form $k_2/x^2$, $k_3/y^2$ and $k_4/z^2$, and the fourth system is obtained as a deformation of the Kepler Hamiltonian also with these three particular nonlinear terms. These third and fourth systems are superintegrable but with higher-order constants of motion. The four systems depend on a real parameter in such a way that they are continuous functions of the parameter (in a certain domain of the parameter) and in the limit of such parameter going to zero the Euclidean dynamics is recovered.

Quasi-Lie schemes for PDEs

The theory of quasi-Lie systems, i.e. systems of first order ordinary differential equations which can be related via a generalised flow to Lie systems, is extended to systems of partial differential equations and its applications to obtaining $t$-dependent superposition rules and integrability conditions are analysed. We develop a procedure of constructing quasi-Lie systems through a generalisation to PDEs of the so-called theory of quasi-Lie schemes. Our techniques are illustrated with the analysis of Wess-Zumino-Novikov-Witten models, generalised Abel differential equations, Baecklund transformations, as well as other differential equations of physical and mathematical relevance.

Lie families: theory and applications

We analyze families of non-autonomous systems of first-order ordinary differential equations admitting a common time-dependent superposition rule, i.e., a time-dependent map expressing any solution of each of these systems in terms of a generic set of particular solutions of the system and some constants. We next study relations of these families, called Lie families, with the theory of Lie and quasi-Lie systems and apply our theory to provide common time-dependent superposition rules for certain Lie families.

Quasi-Lie schemes: theory and applications

A powerful method for solving non-linear first-order ordinary differential equations, which is based on geometrical understanding of the corresponding dynamics of the so called Lie systems, is developed. This method allows us not only to solve some of these equations, but also gives a geometrical explanations for some, already known, ad hoc methods of dealing with such problems.

Feynman problem in the noncommutative case

In the context of the Feynman's derivation of electrodynamics, we show that noncommutativity allows other particle dynamics than the standard formalism of electrodynamics.

Courant algebroid and Lie bialgebroid contractions

Contractions of Leibniz algebras and Courant algebroids by means of (1,1)-tensors are introduced and studied. An appropriate version of Nijenhuis tensors leads to natural deformations of Dirac structures and Lie bialgebroids. One recovers presymplectic-Nijenhuis structures, Poisson-Nijenhuis structures, and triangular Lie bialgebroids as particular examples.

The partnership of potentials in Quantum Mechanics and Shape Invariance

The concept of partnership of potentials is studied in detail and in particular the non-uniqueness due to the ambiguity in the election of the factorization energy and in the choice of the solution of certain Riccati equation. We generate new factorizations from old ones using invariance under parameter transformations. The theory is illustrated with some examples.

Integrability of Riccati equation from a group theoretical viewpoint

In this paper we develop some group theoretical methods which are shown to be very useful for a better understanding of the properties of the Riccati equation and we discuss some of its integrability conditions from a group theoretical perspective. The nonlinear superposition principle also arises in a simple way.
