Bridging rough stochastic differential equations and rough semimartingales

We bridge the gap between the mixed-moment theory of càdlàg rough stochastic differential equations (short:RSDEs), introduced by Friz, Hocquet and Lê (2021) and extended to the càdlàg setting by Allan and Pieper (2026), and the theory of rough semimartingales (short:RSMs), introduced by Friz and Zorin-Kranich (2023), by investigating the intersection of these two theories for the first time. By introducing the concept of good solutions to RSDEs, solutions which are simultaneously both mixed-moment solutions and RSMs, we develop a solution concept, which allows for good control on both moment-based and pathwise properties of solutions. The well-posedness of good solutions is proven using a fixed point argument on the space of $L^{2}$-martingales by suitably leveraging previously known mixed-moment estimates. Based on these insights we further characterize a large class of good solutions of semi-linear RSDEs through a novel rough stochastic Duhamel's principle.

Rough SDEs and Robust Filtering for Jump-Diffusions

We investigate the existence of a robust, i.e., continuous, representation of the conditional distribution in a stochastic filtering model for multidimensional correlated jump-diffusions. Even in the absence of jumps, it is known that in general such a representation can only be continuous with respect to rough path topologies, leading us naturally to express the conditional dynamics as a rough stochastic differential equation with jumps. Via the analysis of such equations, including exponential moments, Skorokhod continuity, and randomisation of the rough path, we establish several novel robustness results for stochastic filters.

Rough Stochastic Analysis with Jumps

We present a new version of the stochastic sewing lemma, capable of handling multiple discontinuous control functions. This is then used to develop a theory of rough stochastic analysis in a càdlàg setting. In particular, we define rough stochastic integration and establish solutions to rough stochastic differential equations with jump discontinuities in both sources of noise, along with an Itô formula for stochastic controlled paths with jumps.
