Hardy spaces for the Lamé equation

We study, for $1 \leq p \leq \infty$, the Hardy space $\bm{h}_e^p(\B)$, the elastic analogue of the classical Hardy spaces of harmonic functions in the unit ball of $\mathbb{R}^3$. The space consists of vector-field solutions of the Lamé system satisfying the standard integrability condition on concentric spheres centered at the origin. Using the elastic Poisson kernel, we establish a Fatou-type theorem and show that $\bm{h}_e^p(\B)$ is isomorphic to the $\mathbb{R}^3$-valued Lebesgue space $L^p$ on the unit sphere for $1 < p \leq \infty$, while $\bm{h}_e^1(\B)$ corresponds to the space of $\mathbb{R}^3$-valued Borel measures on the unit sphere. For $1 < p < \infty$, we prove that $\bm{h}_e^p(\B)$ decomposes as the direct sum of three subspaces. The main contribution of this paper is to describe each of these subspaces along with the corresponding spaces of boundary values. In particular, two of these spaces consist of solutions of the Lamé equation for all eligible choices of the Lamé constants: one of them is the space of Riesz fields (solutions of the generalized Cauchy--Riemann equations) in $\bm{h}_e^p(\B)$; the second is the space of fields given by the cross product of $x$ with such Riesz fields. The results rely on the classical decomposition of $L^2$ vector fields on the sphere into the direct sum of three spaces of vector spherical harmonics, which we extend to $L^p$.

A priori estimates of Mizohata-Takeuchi type for the Navier-Lamé operator

The Mizohata-Takeuchi conjecture for the resolvent of the Navier-Lamé equation is a weighted estimate with weights in the so-called Mizohata-Takeuchi class for this operator when one approaches the spectrum (Limiting Absorption Principles). We prove this conjecture in dimensions 2 and 3 for weights with a radial majorant in the Mizohata-Takeuchi class. This result can be seen as an extension of the analogue for the Laplacian given in [8]. We also prove that radial weights in this class are not invariant for the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function, hence the methods in [6] used to extend estimates for the Laplacian to the Navier-Lamé case, do not work.

Unique Continuation Properties from one time for hyperbolic Schrödinger equations

In this paper, we investigate properties of unique continuation for hyperbolic Schrödinger equations with time-dependent complex-valued electric fields and time-independent real magnetic fields. We show that positive masses inside of a bounded region at a single time propagate outside the region and prove gaussian lower bounds for the solutions, provided a suitable average in space-time cylinders is taken.

Mass Propagation for Electromagnetic Schrödinger Evolutions

We investigate the validity of gaussian lower bounds for solutions to an electromagnetic Schrödinger equation with a bounded time-dependent complex electric potential and a time-independent vector magnetic potential. We prove that, if a suitable geometric condition is satisfied by the vector potential, then positive masses inside of a bounded region at a single time propagate outside the region, provided a suitable average in space-time cylinders is taken.

Numerical approximation of the potential in the two-dimensional inverse scattering problem

We present an iterative algorithm to compute numerical approximations of the potential for the Schrödinger operator from scattering data. Four different types of scattering data are used as follows: fixed energy, fixed incident angle, backscattering and full data. In the case of fixed energy, the algorithm coincides basically with the one recently introduced by Novikov in [Novikov, R. G., "An iterative approach to non-overdetermined inverse scattering at fixed energy", Sbornik: Mathematics 206 (1), 120-134 (2015)], where some estimates are obtained for large energy scattering data. The numerical results that we present here are consistent with these estimates.

A priori estimates for the Helmholtz equation with electromagnetic potentials in exterior domains

We study the Helmholtz equation with electromagnetic-type perturbations, in the exterior of a domain, in dimension $n\geq3$. We prove, by multiplier techniques in the sense of Morawetz, a family of a priori estimates from which the limiting absorption principle follows. Moreover, we give some standard applications to the absence of embedded eigenvalues and zero-resonances, under explicit conditions on the potentials.
