Quasinormal spectra of higher dimensional regular black holes in theories with infinite curvature corrections

We investigate the quasinormal modes of massless scalar and electromagnetic test fields propagating on several families of higher-dimensional regular black holes arising in gravitational theories with an infinite tower of higher-curvature corrections to Einstein gravity. Using the Wentzel--Kramers--Brillouin (WKB) method supplemented by Padé approximants, we compute the fundamental modes and derive compact analytic expressions in the eikonal regime. For all models considered, positive higher-curvature coupling reduces both the oscillation frequencies and damping rates relative to the corresponding singular general-relativistic limit. Since our analysis is restricted to test-field perturbations on fixed regular black-hole backgrounds, these results should be interpreted as geometric and phenomenological signatures of the background geometry rather than as gravitational perturbations of the full higher-curvature theory. Our results provide further insight into how quantum-gravity-inspired corrections and regularity conditions may affect black-hole ringdown signals.

Grey-body factors of higher dimensional regular black holes in quasi-topological theories

We study grey body factors and Hawking radiation of higher dimensional regular black holes arising in quasi topological gravity. These spacetimes incorporate infinite curvature corrections that remove the central singularity while preserving an event horizon and a well defined semiclassical description. We show that, for all considered regular black hole models, the transmission of radiation and the corresponding Hawking evaporation are systematically suppressed compared to the singular black hole solutions of General Relativity.

Scattering of electromagnetic field in quasi-topological gravity

We investigate the absorption cross sections of electromagnetic perturbations propagating on a four-dimensional brane in the background of higher-dimensional regular black holes arising in quasi-topological gravity. Employing a WKB-based approach for the computation of greybody factors, we analyze the impact of higher-curvature corrections and spacetime dimensionality on the scattering properties of the system. We show that regularity effects lead to systematic deviations from the singular Tangherlini solution, manifested in shifts of the absorption spectrum and modifications of the effective photon sphere radius. Increasing the number of spacetime dimensions suppresses these deviations, driving the system toward the classical limit and reducing the number of multipoles required for convergence. In the high-frequency regime, the absorption cross section approaches the geometric-optics limit, while at low frequencies it is strongly suppressed due to diminished transmission probabilities. Our results demonstrate that the interplay between regularity and higher-curvature effects leaves distinct imprints on the absorption characteristics, providing a sensitive probe of the underlying gravitational theory.
