Stability of regular shrinkers in the network flow

The singularities of network flow are modeled by self-similarly shrinking solutions called regular shrinkers. In this paper, we study the stability of regular shrinkers. We show that all regular shrinkers with two or more enclosed regions can be perturbed away. Among the regular shrinkers with one enclosed region, 4-ray star, 5-ray star, fish, and rocket are unstable.

Uniqueness of regular shrinkers with 2 closed regions

Regular shrinkers describe blow-up limits of a finite-time singularity of the motion by curvature of planar network of curves. This follows from Huisken's monotonicity formula. In this paper, we show that there is only one regular shrinker with 2 closed regions. This regular shrinker is the Cisgeminate eye. Moreover, we find some degenerate regular shrinkers with 2 closed regions.

Lower bounds for nodal set of biharmonic Steklov problems

We use layer potential to establish that the boundary biharmonic Steklov operators are elliptic pseudo-differential operators. Thus we are able to establish lower bounds on both the measure of boundary nodal sets and interior nodal sets for biharmonic Steklov eigenfunctions.

The Weyl problem with nonnegative Gauss curvature in hyperbolic space

In this paper, we discuss the isometric embedding problem in hyperbolic space with nonnegative extrinsic curvature. We prove a priori bounds for the trace of the second fundamental form H and extend the result to n-dimensions. We also obtain an estimate for the gradient of the smaller principal curvature in 2 dimensions.
