Theoretical $Σ$-$D$ Relations for Shell-Type Galactic Supernova Remnants

Relations between radio surface brightness ($Σ$) and diameter ($D$) of supernova remnants (SNRs) are important in astronomy. In this paper, following the work Duric \& Seaquist (1986) at adiabatic phase, we carefully investigate shell-type supernova remnants at radiative phase, and obtain theoretical $Σ$-$D$ relation at radiative phase of shell-type supernova remnants at 1 GHz. By using these theoretical $Σ$-$D$ relations at adiabatic phase and radiative phase, we also roughly determine phases of some supernova remnant from observation data.

Universality in the stress tensor for Holographic fluids at the finite cutoff surface via fluid/gravity correspondence

We investigate the stress tensor for holographic fluids at the finite cutoff surface through perturbing the Schwarzchild-AdS black brane background to the first order perturbations in the scenario of fluid/gravity correspondence. We investigate the most general perturbations of the metric without any gauge fixing. We consider various boundary conditions and demonstrate the properties of the corresponding holographic fluids. The critical fact is that the spatial components of the first order stress tensors of the holographic fluids can be rewritten in a concordant form, which implicates that there is an underlying universality in the first order stress tensor. We find this universality in the first order stress tensor for holographic fluids at the finite cutoff surface by an exhaustive investigation of perturbations of the full bulk metric.

Perihelion precession and deflection of light in the general spherically symmetric spacetime

In this paper, the perihelion precession and deflection of light have been investigated in the 4-dimensional general spherically symmetric spacetime, and the main equation is obtained. As the application of this main equation, the Reissner-Nordstorm-AdS solution and Clifton-Barrow solution in $f(R)$ gravity have been taken for the examples. We find that both the electric charge and $f(R)$ gravity can affect the perihelion precession and deflection of light, while the cosmological constant can only effect the perihelion precession. Moreover, we clarify a subtlety in the deflection of light in the solar system that the possible sun's electric charge is usually used to interpret the gap between the experiment data and theoretical result. However, after also considering the effect from the sun's same electric charge on the perihelion precession of Mercury, we can find that it is not the truth.
