Effective and Low-cost Lane-based Map Localization for Vehicle-Centric Route Generation

Driver-centric route representation plays a vital role in intuitive driving guidance systems. This paper presents OLRA, a low-cost, map-localization-based framework that derives driver-view-aligned routes by matching map-based navigation routes with camera-detected lane markings. This alignment process mutually enhances vehicle localization accuracy and visual route consistency. To bridge the evaluation gap across different paradigms, we introduce practical route evaluation metrics and benchmark OLRA against OpenPilot, a representative direct-generation approach. Experimental results on the nuScenes dataset demonstrate that OLRA outperforms OpenPilot in complex road segments and in route estimation at distance beyond 20 meters, achieving lower overall Euclidean error. This study is expected to promote future research in low-cost, maplocalization-based route generation methods.

Triply charged Higgs bosons at a 100 TeV $pp$ collider

The neutral Higgs boson predicted from spontaneous breaking of electroweak symmetry in the standard model (SM) has been discovered. Precision test of the Higgs boson properties is one of the promising ways to study new physics beyond SM. Some of the most important information to know is whether there are additional Higgs bosons, neutral, singly charged and even multi-charged ones. In this work, we study the potential to search for triply charged Higgs bosons in the final state with at least three same-sign leptons. A detailed collider analysis of the SM backgrounds and signals at a 100~TeV $pp$ collider is performed with $5σ$ discovery prospects being obtained, which are expressed as a function of the vacuum expectation value (VEV) $v_Δ$ or the mass splitting $Δm$. We also revisit the sensitivity at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) by projecting that at a 100~TeV $pp$ collider. For a comparison, two benchmark values $v_Δ=10^{-6}~\text{GeV}$ and $5\times 10^{-3}~\text{GeV}$ are taken. We find that for the triply charged Higgs boson mass below 1~TeV $5σ$ discovery significance can be reached at a 100~TeV $pp$ collider with $3.3~\text{fb}^{-1}$ and $110~\text{fb}^{-1}$ of data, respectively, the sensitivity of which is much better than that at the LHC.

Searching for a charged Higgs boson with both $H^{\pm}W^{\mp}Z$ and $H^{\pm}tb$ couplings at the LHC

In certain new physics scenarios, a singly charged Higgs boson can couple to both fermions and $W^\pm Z$ at tree level. We develop new strategies beyond current experimental searches using $pp\to jjH^\pm$, $H^\pm \to tb $ at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). With the effective $H^\pm W^\mp Z$ and $H^\pm tb$ couplings we perform a model-independent analysis at the collision energy $\sqrt{s}=13$~TeV with the integrated luminosity of $3~\text{ab}^{-1}$. We derive the discovery prospects and exclusion limits for the charged Higgs boson in the mass range from 200~GeV to 1~TeV. With $|F_{WZ}|,|A_t|\sim 0.5-1.0$ and $300~\text{GeV}\lesssim m_{H^\pm}\lesssim 400~\text{GeV}$, we point out that a discovery significance of $5σ$ can be achieved. The constraints and projected sensitivities are also discussed in a realistic model, i.e., the modified Georgi-Machacek model without custodial symmetry. Our proposed search would provide direct evidence for a charged Higgs boson $H^\pm$ that couples to $W^\pm Z$ and $tb$, which can have better sensitivity to the couplings of $H^\pm W^\mp Z$ and $H^\pm tb$ than current searches.

Impacts of multi-Higgs on the $ρ$ parameter, decays of a neutral Higgs to $WW$ and $ZZ$, and a charged Higgs to $WZ$

In the standard model (SM), the $ρ$ parameter is equal to 1 and the ratio $λ_{WZ}$ of Higgs $\to ZZ$ and Higgs $\to WW$ is also equal to 1 at the tree level. When going beyond the SM with more than one types of Higgs representations these quantities may be different from the SM predictions which can provide crucial information about new physics. There may also exist a certain charged Higgs $h^+$ decays into a $W^+$ and a $Z$. Imposing a custodial symmetry can force the parameter $ρ$ to be equal to 1 with certain predictions for $λ_{WZ}$ and $h^+ \to W^+Z$. However, imposing $ρ=1$ without custodial symmetry may have different predictions. We show how differences arise and how to use experimental data to obtain information about the underlying physics in a model with the SM plus a real and a complex $SU(2)_L$ triplets.
