GELATO: Multi-Instruction Trajectory Reshaping via Geometry-Aware Multiagent-based Orchestration

We present GELATO -- the first language-driven trajectory reshaping framework to embed geometric environment awareness and multi-agent feedback orchestration to support multi-instruction in human-robot interaction scenarios. Unlike prior learning-based methods, our approach automatically registers scene objects as 6D geometric primitives via a VLM-assisted multi-view pipeline, and an LLM translates free-form multiple instructions into explicit, verifiable geometric constraints. These are integrated into a geometric-aware vector field optimization to adapt initial trajectories while preserving smoothness, feasibility, and clearance. We further introduce a multi-agent orchestration with observer-based refinement to handle multi-instruction inputs and interactions among objectives -- increasing success rate without retraining. Simulation and real-world experiments demonstrate our method achieves smoother, safer, and more interpretable trajectory modifications compared to state-of-the-art baselines.

Analysis of Emission Dynamics of a Long Lifetime in Single InAs/GaAs Quantum Dots

A very long lifetime emission with non-single exponential decay characteristic has been reported for single InAs/GaAs quantum dot (QD) samples, in which there exists a long-lived metastable state in the wetting layer (WL) [ACS Photonics 2020,7,3228-3235]. In this article we have proposed a new three-level model to simulate the emission decay curve. In this model, assuming that the excitons in metastable state will diffuse and be trapped by QDs, and then emit fluorescence in QDs, a stretched-like exponential decay formula is derived as I(t)=At^(β-1)e^(-(rt)^β), which can well describe the long lifetime decay curve with an analytical expression of average lifetime <τ>=1/rΓ(1/β+1), where Γ is the Gamma function. Furthermore, based on the proposed three-level model, an expression of the second-order auto-correlation function g^2 (t) which can well fit the measured g^2 (t) curve is also obtained.

Plasmon-field-induced Metastable States in the Wetting Layer: Detected by the Fluorescence Decay Time of InAs/GaAs Single Quantum Dots

We report a new way to slow down the spontaneous emission rate of excitons in the wetting layer (WL) through radiative field coupling between the exciton emissions and the dipole field of metal islands. As a result, a long-lifetime decay process is detected in the emission of InAs/GaAs single quantum dots (QDs). It is found that when the separation distance from WL layer (QD layer) to the metal islands is around 20 nm and the islands have an average size of approximately 50 nm, QD lifetime may change from approximately 1 to 160 ns. The corresponding second-order autocorrelation function g(2) (τ) changes from antibunching into a bunching and antibunching characteristics due to the existence of long-lived metastable states in the WL. This phenomenon can be understood by treating the metal islands as many dipole oscillators in the dipole approximation, which may cause destructive interference between the exciton dipole field and the induced dipole field of metal islands.

Distributed Estimation of Oscillations in Power Systems: an Extended Kalman Filtering Approach

Online estimation of electromechanical oscillation parameters provides essential information to prevent system instability and blackout and helps to identify event categories and locations. We formulate the problem as a state space model and employ the extended Kalman filter to estimate oscillation frequencies and damping factors directly based on data from phasor measurement units. Due to considerations of communication burdens and privacy concerns, a fully distributed algorithm is proposed using diffusion extended Kalman filter. The effectiveness of proposed algorithms is confirmed by both simulated and real data collected during events in State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Company.

Optimal Allocation of Static Var Compensator via Mixed Integer Conic Programming

Shunt FACTS devices, such as, a Static Var Compensator (SVC), are capable of providing local reactive power compensation. They are widely used in the network to reduce the real power loss and improve the voltage profile. This paper proposes a planning model based on mixed integer conic programming (MICP) to optimally allocate SVCs in the transmission network considering load uncertainty. The load uncertainties are represented by a number of scenarios. Reformulation and linearization techniques are utilized to transform the original non-convex model into a convex second order cone programming (SOCP) model. Numerical case studies based on the IEEE 30-bus system demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed planning model.
