Learning to Annotate Delayed and False AEB Events: A Practical System for Extreme Class Imbalance and Asymmetric Label Noise

Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) optimization relies on accurately annotated real-world trigger events, particularly rare but critical delayed and false AEB triggers that expose system deficiencies. However, these minority samples comprise less than 5% of thousands of daily triggers, making manual annotation prohibitively expensive at scale. We present the first automated AEB annotation framework to address this problem. During development, we identified two fundamental challenges that severely impair delayed/false trigger annotation accuracy: (1) Extreme class imbalance where delayed/false triggers are overwhelmed by true triggers; (2) Asymmetric label noise where mislabeled majority samples (true triggers) suppress minority samples (delayed/false triggers) learning. To overcome these challenges, we propose two key innovations: (1) Specific data augmentation that synthesizes realistic samples by manipulating focal target attributes, transplanting ego-vehicle dynamics, and masking non-focal agents; (2) noise suppression using stable hardness estimation and probe-guided adaptive threshold to clean mislabeled true trigger samples. Crucially, we deploy our model as a practical annotation system with full-stack architecture, efficiently identifying critical delayed/false triggers from thousands of daily AEB events. Production results demonstrate 80% improvement in recall of delayed/false triggers and 50% reduction in manual workload. Beyond immediate gains, the system enables continuous self-improvement through accumulated high-quality annotations, establishing a necessary data foundation for on-vehicle AEB system optimization

Triangulation-free Trivialization of 2-loop MHV Amplituhedron

This article introduces a new approach to implement positivity for the 2-loop n-particle MHV amplituhedron, circumventing the conventional triangulation with respect to positive variables of each cell carved out by the sign flips. This approach is universal for all linear positive conditions and hence free of case-by-case triangulation, as an application of the trick of positive infinity first introduced in 1910.14612 for the multi-loop 4-particle amplituhedron. Moreover, the proof of 2-loop n-particle MHV amplituhedron in 1812.01822 is revised, and we explain the nontriviality and difficulty of using conventional triangulation while the results have a simple universal pattern. A further example is presented to tentatively explore its generalization towards handling multiple positive conditions at 3-loop and higher.

Positivity, Grassmannian Geometry and Simplex-like Structures of Scattering Amplitudes

This article revisits and elaborates the significant role of positive geometry of momentum twistor Grassmannian for planar N=4 SYM scattering amplitudes. First we establish the fundamentals of positive Grassmannian geometry for tree amplitudes. Then we formulate this subject around these four major facets: 1. Deriving the tree and 1-loop BCFW recursion relations solely from positivity, after introducing the simple building blocks called positive components. 2. Applying Grassmannian geometry and Pluecker coordinates to determine the signs in N$^2$MHV homological identities. Most of them in fact reflect the secret incarnation of the simple 6-term NMHV identity. 3. Deriving the stacking positivity relation, which is powerful for parameterizing the matrix representative in terms of positive variables, of a given Grassmannian geometric configuration. 4. Introducing a highly refined formalism for tree BCFW recursion relation, which reveals its two-fold simplex-like structures. First, the BCFW contour in terms of (reduced) Grassmannian geometry representatives is dissected into a triangle-shape sum, as only a small fraction of the sum needs to be explicitly identified. Second, this fraction can be further dissected, according to different growing modes and parameters. The growing modes possess the shapes of solid simplices of various dimensions, with which infinite number of BCFW cells can be entirely captured by the characteristic objects called fully-spanning cells. We find that for a given k, beyond n=4k+1 there is no more new fully-spanning cell, which signifies the essential termination of the recursive growth of BCFW cells. As n increases beyond the termination point, the BCFW contour simply replicates itself according to the simplex-like patterns, which enables us to master all BCFW cells once for all without actually identifying most of them.

All-loop Mondrian Reduction of 4-particle Amplituhedron at Positive Infinity

This article introduces a systematic framework to understand (not to derive yet) the all-loop 4-particle amplituhedron in planar N=4 SYM, utilizing both positivity and the Mondrian diagrammatics. Its key idea is the simplest one so far: we can decouple one or more sets of loop variables (x,y,z,w) from the rest by just setting these variables to either zero or infinity so that their relevant positivity conditions are trivialized, then the all-loop consistency requires that we get lower loop amplituhedra as "residues". These decoupling relations connect higher loop DCI integrals with the lower ones, enabling us to identify their coefficients starting from the 3-loop case. And surprisingly, the delicate mechanism of this process is the simple Mondrian rule D=X+Y, which forces those visually non-Mondrian DCI integrals to have the correct coefficients such that the amplituhedron can exactly reduce to the lower loop one. Examples cover all DCI integrals at L=3,4,5,6, especially, the subtle 6-loop coefficients +2 and 0 are neatly explained in this way.

Cyclicity of All Anti-NMHV and N$^2$MHV Tree Amplitudes in N=4 SYM

This article proves the cyclicity of anti-NMHV and N$^2$MHV tree amplitudes in planar N=4 SYM up to any number of external particles as an interesting application of positive Grassmannian geometry. In this proof the two-fold simplex-like structures of tree amplitudes introduced in 1609.08627 play a key role, as the cyclicity of amplitudes will induce similar simplex-like structures for the boundary generators of homological identities. For this purpose, we only need a part of all distinct boundary generators, and the relevant identities only involve BCFW-like cells. The manifest cyclic invariance in this geometric representation reflects one of the invariant characteristics of amplitudes, though they are obtained by the scheme-dependent BCFW recursion relation.

4-particle Amplituhedronics for 3-5 Loops

Following the direction of 1712.09990 and 1712.09994, this article continues to excavate more interesting aspects of the 4-particle amplituhedron for a better understanding of the 4-particle integrand of planar N=4 SYM to all loop orders, from the perspective of positive geometry. At 3-loop order, we introduce a much more refined dissection of the amplituhedron to understand its essential structure and maximally simplify its direct calculation, by fully utilizing its symmetry as well as the efficient Mondrian way for reorganizing all contributing pieces. Although significantly improved, this approach immediately encounters its technical bottleneck at 4-loop. Still, we manage to alleviate this difficulty by imitating the traditional (generalized) unitarity cuts, which is to use the so-called positive cuts. Given a basis of dual conformally invariant (DCI) loop integrals, we can figure out the coefficient of each DCI topology using its dlog form via positivity conditions. Explicit examples include all 2+5 non-rung-rule topologies at 4- and 5-loop respectively. These results remarkably agree with previous knowledge, which confirms the validity of amplituhedron up to 5-loop and develops a new approach of determining the coefficient of each distinct DCI loop integral.

All-loop Mondrian Diagrammatics and 4-particle Amplituhedron

Based on 1712.09990 which handles the 4-particle amplituhedron at 3-loop, we have found an extremely simple pattern, yet far more non-trivial than one might naturally expect: the all-loop Mondrian diagrammatics. By further simplifying and rephrasing the key relation of positivity in the amplituhedron setting, remarkably, we find a completeness relation unifying all diagrams of the Mondrian types for the 4-particle integrand of planar N=4 SYM to all loop orders, each of which can be mapped to a simple product following a few plain rules designed for this relation. The explicit examples we investigate span from 3-loop to 7-loop order, and based on them, we classify the basic patterns of Mondrian diagrams into four types: the ladder, cross, brick-wall and spiral patterns. Interestingly, for some special combinations of ordered subspaces (a concept defined in the previous work), we find failed exceptions of the completeness relation which are called "anomalies", nevertheless, they substantially give hints on the all-loop recursive proof of this relation. These investigations are closely related to the combinatoric knowledge of separable permutations and Schroeder numbers, and go even further from a diagrammatic perspective. For physical relevance, we need to further consider dual conformal invariance for two basic diagrammatic patterns to correct the numerator for a local integrand involving one or both of such patterns, while the denominator encoding its pole structure and also the sign factor, are already fixed by rules of the completeness relation. With this extra treatment to ensure the integrals are dual conformally invariant, each Mondrian diagram can be exactly translated to its corresponding physical loop integrand after being summed over all ordered subspaces that admit it.

Simplex-like Structures of Maximally Supersymmetric Scattering Amplitudes

We elaborate the two-fold simplex-like structures of tree amplitudes in planar maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills (N=4 SYM), through its connection to a mathematical structure known as the positive Grassmannian. Exploiting the reduced Grassmannian geometry and the matrix form of on-shell recursion relation in terms of super momentum twistors, we manifest that tree amplitudes can be remarkably refined via the essential building blocks named as fully-spanning cells. For a fixed number of negative helicities, an amplitude can be entirely captured by finite, compact information of the relevant fully-spanning cells up to an arbitrarily large number of external particles.

4-particle Amplituhedron at 3-loop and its Mondrian Diagrammatic Implication

This article provides a direct calculation of the 4-particle amplituhedron at 3-loop order, by introducing a set of practical tricks. After delicately rearranging each piece of this calculation, we find a suggestive connection between positivity conditions and Mondrian diagrams, which will be quantitatively defined. Such a pattern can be generalized for all Mondrian diagrams among all those contribute to the 4-particle integrand of planar N=4 SYM to all loop orders, as a subsequent work 1712.09994 will show.

Derivation of Feynman Rules for Higher Order Poles Using Cross-ratio Identities in CHY Construction

In order to generalize the integration rules to general CHY integrands which include higher order poles, algorithms are proposed in two directions. One is to conjecture new rules, and the other is to use the cross-ratio identity method. In this paper,we use the cross-ratio identity approach to re-derive the conjectured integration rules involving higher order poles for several special cases: the single double pole, single triple pole and duplex-double pole. The equivalence between the present formulas and the previously conjectured ones is discussed for the first two situations.

Note on Identities Inspired by New Soft Theorems

The new soft theorems, for both gravity and gauge amplitudes, have inspired a number of works, including the discovery of new identities related to amplitudes. In this note, we present the proof and discussion for two sets of identities. The first set includes an identity involving the half-soft function which had been used in the soft theorem for one-loop rational gravity amplitudes, and another simpler identity as its byproduct. The second set includes two identities involving the KLT momentum kernel, as the consistency conditions of the KLT relation plus soft theorems for both gravity and gauge amplitudes. We use the CHY formulation to prove the first identity, and transform the second one into a convenient form for future discussion.

The Q-cut Representation of One-loop Integrands and Unitarity Cut Method

Recently, a new construction for complete loop integrands of massless field theories has been proposed, with on-shell tree-level amplitudes delicately incorporated into its algorithm. This new approach reinterprets integrands in a novel form, namely the Q-cut representation. In this paper, by deriving one-loop integrands as examples, we elaborate in details the technique of this new representation, e.g., the summation over all possible Q-cuts as well as helicity states for the non-scalar internal particle in the loop. Moreover, we show that the integrand in the Q-cut representation naturally reduces to the integrand in the traditional unitarity cut method for each given cut channel, providing a cross-check for the new approach.

An Algebraic Approach to the Scattering Equations

We employ the so-called companion matrix method from computational algebraic geometry, tailored for zero-dimensional ideals, to study the scattering equations. The method renders the CHY-integrand of scattering amplitudes computable using simple linear algebra and is amenable to an algorithmic approach. Certain identities in the amplitudes as well as rationality of the final integrand become immediate in this formalism.

On Multi-step BCFW Recursion Relations

In this paper, we extensively investigate the new algorithm known as the multi-step BCFW recursion relations. Many interesting mathematical properties are found and understanding these aspects, one can find a systematic way to complete the calculation of amplitude after finite, definite steps and get the correct answer, without recourse to any specific knowledge from field theories, besides mass dimension and helicities. This process consists of the pole concentration and inconsistency elimination. Terms that survive inconsistency elimination cannot be determined by the new algorithm. They include polynomials and their generalizations, which turn out to be useful objects to be explored. Afterwards, we apply it to the Standard Model plus gravity to illustrate its power and limitation. Ensuring its workability, we also tentatively discuss how to improve its efficiency by reducing the steps.

Determination of Boundary Contributions in Recursion Relation

In this paper, we propose a new algorithm to systematically determine the missing boundary contributions, when one uses the BCFW on-shell recursion relation to calculate tree amplitudes for general quantum field theories. After an instruction of the algorithm, we will use several examples to demonstrate its application, including amplitudes of color-ordered phi-4 theory, Yang-Mills theory, Einstein-Maxwell theory and color-ordered Yukawa theory with phi-4 interaction.

Soft Theorem of N=4 SYM in Grassmannian Formulation

Inspired by the new soft theorem in gravity by Cachazo and Strominger, the soft theorem for color-ordered Yang-Mills amplitudes has also been identified by Casali. In this note, the same content of N=4 SYM using the Grassmannian formulation is studied. Explicitly, in the holomorphic soft limit, we reduce the n-particle amplitude in terms of Grassmannian contour integrations into the deformed (n-1)-particle amplitude by localizing k variables relevant to the n-th particle. Afterwards, the leading soft factor and sub-leading soft operator naturally emerge.

Holographic Holes in Higher Dimensions

We extend the holographic construction from AdS3 to higher dimensions. In particular, we show that the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of codimension-two surfaces in the bulk with planar symmetry can be evaluated in terms of the 'differential entropy' in the boundary theory. The differential entropy is a certain quantity constructed from the entanglement entropies associated with a family of regions covering a Cauchy surface in the boundary geometry. We demonstrate that a similar construction based on causal holographic information fails in higher dimensions, as it typically yields divergent results. We also show that our construction extends to holographic backgrounds other than AdS spacetime and can accommodate Lovelock theories of higher curvature gravity.
