FinReporting: An Agentic Workflow for Localized Reporting of Cross-Jurisdiction Financial Disclosures

Financial reporting systems increasingly leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to extract and summarize corporate disclosures. However, most existing approaches assume a single-market setting and overlook structural differences across jurisdictions. Variations in accounting taxonomies, tagging infrastructures (e.g., XBRL vs.\ PDF), and aggregation conventions introduce substantial challenges for semantic alignment and reliable verification. Here, we aim to bridge this gap. We present FinReporting, an agentic workflow for localized cross-jurisdiction financial reporting. The system constructs a unified canonical ontology spanning the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement, and decomposes reporting into auditable stages, including filing acquisition, extraction, canonical mapping, and anomaly logging. Rather than treating LLMs as free-form generators, FinReporting employs them as constrained verifiers operating under explicit decision rules with evidence grounding. Evaluated on annual filings from the USA, Japan, and China, FinReporting improves consistency and reliability under heterogeneous reporting regimes. We further release an interactive demo that enables cross-market inspection and supports structured export of localized financial statements. Segregation Before Polarization: How Recommendation Strategies Shape Echo Chamber Pathways

Social media platforms facilitate echo chambers through feedback loops between user preferences and recommendation algorithms. While algorithmic homogeneity is well-documented, the distinct evolutionary pathways driven by content-based versus link-based recommendations remain unclear. Using an extended dynamic Bounded Confidence Model (BCM), we show that content-based algorithms -- unlike their link-based counterparts -- steer social networks toward a segregation-before-polarization (SbP) pathway. Along this trajectory, structural segregation precedes opinion divergence, accelerating individual isolation while delaying but ultimately intensifying collective polarization. Furthermore, we reveal that reposting appears connective by circulating content beyond direct follow links, yet it simultaneously reinforces echo chambers because it amplifies small, latent opinion differences that would otherwise remain inconsequential. These findings suggest that mitigating polarization requires stage-dependent algorithmic interventions, shifting from content-centric to structure-centric strategies as networks evolve.

Magnetostrictive Phononic Frequency Combs

Magnetostriction, mechanical-to-magnetic or magnetic-to-mechanical response, plays a pivotal role in magneto-mechanical systems. Here, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a magneto-mechanical frequency comb via the three-wave mixing mechanism, which solely requires the involvement of the fundamental mode f0 of a magnetostrictive macroresonator. Two types of combs, i.e., the integer-harmonic combs and the half-integer-harmonic combs, are observed in kHz regime with Hz resolution by magnetically pumping the mm-scale resonator with near-resonant f0. The integer-harmonic combs are centered at lfp, while the half-integer-harmonic combs are centered at (2n - 1) fp/2 resulting from the period-doubling bifurcation of fp. The tooth spacing of both types of combs is determined and can be continuously tuned by changing fs from Hz to kHz. Moreover, the half-integer-harmonic combs can be purposely switched with frequency shifting half a tooth spacing via suppressing period-doubling bifurcation. The experimentally observed formation, evolution, and switching of combs can be well understood by introducing the bias magnetical force and modulated linear stiffness into the Duffing equation. Our findings on magnetically manipulated phononic frequency comb could provide a magneto-mechanical platform for potential non-invasive and contactless sensing and even antenna for wireless operation.

OpenAgents: An Open Platform for Language Agents in the Wild

Language agents show potential in being capable of utilizing natural language for varied and intricate tasks in diverse environments, particularly when built upon large language models (LLMs). Current language agent frameworks aim to facilitate the construction of proof-of-concept language agents while neglecting the non-expert user access to agents and paying little attention to application-level designs. We present OpenAgents, an open platform for using and hosting language agents in the wild of everyday life. OpenAgents includes three agents: (1) Data Agent for data analysis with Python/SQL and data tools; (2) Plugins Agent with 200+ daily API tools; (3) Web Agent for autonomous web browsing. OpenAgents enables general users to interact with agent functionalities through a web user interface optimized for swift responses and common failures while offering developers and researchers a seamless deployment experience on local setups, providing a foundation for crafting innovative language agents and facilitating real-world evaluations. We elucidate the challenges and opportunities, aspiring to set a foundation for future research and development of real-world language agents.

Global Well-posedness and Regularity of Weak Solutions to the Prandtl's System

We continue our study on the global solution to the two-dimensional Prandtl's system for unsteady boundary layers in the class considered by Oleinik provided that the pressure is favorable. First, by using a different method from [13], we gave a direct proof of existence of a global weak solution by a direct BV estimate. Then we prove the uniqueness and continuous dependence on data of such a weak solution to the initial-boundary value problem. Finally, we show the smoothness of the weak solutions and then the global existence of smooth solutions.

On the motion of three-dimensional compressible isentropic flows with large external potential forces and vacuum

We study the global existence and uniqueness of classical solutions to the three-dimensional compressible isentropic Navier-Stokes equations with vacuum and external potential forces which could be arbitrarily large provided the initial data is of small energy and the unique steady state is strictly away from vacuum. In particular, the solution may have large oscillations and contain vacuum states. For the case of discontinuous initial data, we also prove the global existence of weak solutions. The large-time behavior of the solution is obtained simultaneously. It is worthwhile mentioning that the compatibility condition on the initial data and the regularity condition of the external potential forces in the present paper are much weaker than those assumed in the existing literature.
