On perturbation of Hilbert-Schmidt frames

In this paper, we study perturbation of Hilbert-Schmidt frames under structured modifications, where the perturbation takes the form of replacing finitely or infinitely many frame elements. We establish explicit criteria under which the perturbed sequence retains the Hilbert-Schmidt frame property. In the finite case, the stability bounds depend quantitatively on the perturbation size and the number of altered elements. For the infinite case, we identify sufficient conditions ensuring stability under globally controlled perturbations. Our study includes illustrative examples demonstrating the applicability of the results.

Two- and three-body dispersion coefficients for interaction of Cu and Ag atoms with {Group} I, II, and XII elements

The mounting interest in conducting thorough analyses and studies of long-range interactions stems from their wide-ranging applications in cold atomic physics, making it a compelling area for research. In this work, we have evaluated long range van der Waals dispersion (vdW) interactions of Cu and Ag atoms with atoms of group I (Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, and Fr), II (Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, and {Ba}), XII (Zn, Cd, and Hg) {as well as} singly charged ions of group II (Be$^+$, Mg$^+$, Ca$^+$, Sr$^+$, and {Ba$^+$}) and XII (Zn$^+$, Cd$^+$, and Hg$^+$) by calculating $C_6$(two-body) and $C_9$ (three-body) vdW dispersion coefficients. In order to obtain these $C_6$ and $C_9$ coefficients, we have evaluated the dynamic dipole polarizability of the considered atoms using appropriate relativistic methods and the sum-over-states approach. To ascertain the accuracy of our results, we have compared the evaluated static dipole polarizabilities of Cu and Ag atoms and their oscillator strengths for dominant transitions {with} available literature. The calculated values of $C_6$ dispersion coefficients have also been compared with the previously reported results.

Investigating the $4D_{3/2}|3,\pm2\rangle$--$4D_{5/2}|3,\pm2\rangle$ transition in Nb$^{4+}$ for a THz atomic clock

In this work, the $4D_{3/2}|3,\pm2\rangle \rightarrow 4D_{5/2}|3,\pm2\rangle$ transition in the Nb$^{4+}$ ion is identified as a promising candidate for a terahertz (THz) atomic clock, with the transition frequency occurring at 56.0224 THz. This transition is primarily driven by the magnetic dipole decay channel, which can easily be accessed by a laser. We focus on the stable $^{93}$Nb isotope, which has 100\% natural abundance and a nuclear spin of $I=9/2$ for experimental advantage. Our data analysis allows us to estimate potential systematic shifts in the proposed clock system, including those due to blackbody radiation, electric quadrupole, second-order Zeeman, and second-order Doppler {shifts}. {The scheme presented in this study can help suppress the AC Stark and electric quadrupole shifts in the clock frequency measurement.} {All these analyses} suggest that the proposed THz atomic clock using Nb$^{4+}$ could be valuable in both quantum thermometry and frequency metrology.

Operators for matrix-valued Riesz bases over LCA groups

The image of a given orthonormal basis for a separable Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$ under a bijective, bounded, and linear operator acting on $\mathcal{H}$ is called a Riesz basis of $\mathcal{H}$. Contrary to what happens with Riesz bases (in the usual sense) in separable Hilbert spaces, it is not true in general that the image of a matrix-valued orthonormal basis under a bounded, linear, and bijective operator on $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{s\times r})$ is also a basis and frame for the space $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{s\times r})$, where $G$ is a $\sigma$-compact and metrizable locally compact abelian (LCA) group. We give some classes of operators for the construction of matrix-valued Riesz bases from orthonormal bases of the space $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{s\times r})$. Motivated by a result due to Holub, we show that a bounded, linear, and bijective operator acting on $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{s\times r})$ which is adjointable with respect to the matrix-valued inner product is positive if and only if it maps a matrix-valued Riesz basis of the space $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{s\times r})$ to its dual Riesz basis.

Magnetic Sublevel Independent Magic and Tune-out Wavelengths of the Alkaline-earth Ions

Lightshift of a state due to the applied laser in an atomic system vanishes at the tune-out wavelengths ($\lambda_T$s). Similarly, differential light shift of a transition vanishes at the magic wavelengths ($\lambda_{magic}$s). In many of the earlier studies, values of the electric dipole (E1) matrix elements were inferred precisely by combining measurements of $\lambda_{magic}$ with the calculated their values. Similarly, the $\lambda_T$ values of an atomic state can be used to infer the E1 matrix element as it involves dynamic electric dipole ($\alpha$) values of only one state whereas the $\lambda_{magic}$ values are dealt with $\alpha$ values of two states. However, both the $\lambda_T$ and $\lambda_{magic}$ values depend on angular momenta and their magnetic components ($M$) of states. Here, we report the $\lambda_T$ and $\lambda_{magic}$ values of many $S_{1/2}$ and $D_{3/2,5/2}$ states, and transitions among these states of the Mg$^{+}$, Ca$^{+}$, Sr$^{+}$ and Ba$^{+}$ ions that are independent of $M$- values. Measuring these wavelengths in a special set-up as discussed in the paper, it could be possible to infer a large number of E1 matrix elements of the above ions accurately.

Prospective of Zr$^{3+}$ ion as a THz atomic clock

We demonstrate transition between the fine structure splitting of the ground state of triply ionized zirconium (Zr IV) is suitable for a terahertz (THz) atomic clock. Its transition frequency is about 37.52 THz and is mainly guided by the magnetic dipole (M1) transition and can be accessible by a readily available laser. We suggest to consider stable even isotopes of Zr and $M_J= \pm 1/2$ sublevels (i.e. $|4D_{3/2},M_J=\pm 1/2\rangle \rightarrow |4D_{5/2},M_J=\pm 1/2\rangle$ clock transition) for the experimental advantage. By performing necessary calculations, we have estimated possible systematics due to blackbody radiation, ac Stark, electric quadrupole and second-order Zeeman shifts along with shifts due to the second-order Doppler effects. The proposed THz atomic clock can be very useful in quantum thermometry and frequency metrology.

Sums of Frames from the Weyl--Heisenberg Group and Applications to Frame Algorithm

The relationship between the frame bounds of frames (Gabor) for the space $L^2(\mathbb{R})$ with several generators from the Weyl-Heisenberg group and the scalars linked to the sum of frames is examined in this paper. We give sufficient conditions for the finite sum of frames of the space $L^2(\mathbb{R})$ from the Weyl-Heisenberg group, with explicit frame bounds, in terms of frame bounds and scalars involved in the finite sum of frames, to be a frame for $L^2(\mathbb{R})$. It is shown that if a series of square roots of upper frame bounds of countably infinite frames from the Weyl-Heisenberg group is convergent and some lower frame bound majorizes the sum of all other frame bounds, then the infinite sum of frames for $L^2(\mathbb{R})$ space turns out to be a frame for the space $L^2(\mathbb{R})$. We show that the sum of frames from the Weyl-Heisenberg group and its dual frame always constitutes a frame. We provide sufficient conditions for the sum of images of frames under bounded linear operators acting on $L^2(\mathbb{R})$ in terms of lower bounds of their Hilbert adjoint operator to be a frame. The finite sum of frames where frames are perturbed by bounded sequences of scalars is also discussed. As an application of the results, we show that the frame bounds of sums of frames can increase the rate of approximation in the frame algorithm. Our results are true for all types of frames.

Matrix-Valued Gabor Frames over LCA Groups for Operators

G\v avruta studied atomic systems in terms of frames for range of operators (that is, for subspaces), namely $K$-frames, where the lower frame condition is controlled by the Hilbert-adjoint of a bounded linear operator $K$. For a locally compact abelian group G and a positive integer $n$, we study frames of matrix-valued Gabor systems in the matrix-valued Lebesgue space $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{n\times n})$ , where a bounded linear operator $\Theta$ on $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{n\times n})$ controls not only lower but also the upper frame condition. We term such frames matrix-valued $(\Theta, \Theta^*)$-Gabor frames. Firstly, we discuss frame preserving mapping in terms of hyponormal operators. Secondly, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of matrix-valued $(\Theta, \Theta^*)$- Gabor frames in terms of hyponormal operators. It is shown that if $\Theta$ is adjointable hyponormal operator, then $L^2(G, \mathbb{C}^{n\times n})$ admits a $\lambda$-tight $(\Theta, \Theta^*)$-Gabor frame for every positive real number $\lambda$. A characterization of matrix-valued $(\Theta, \Theta^*)$-Gabor frames is given. Finally, we show that matrix-valued $(\Theta, \Theta^*)$-Gabor frames are stable under small perturbation of window functions. Several examples are given to support our study.

A computational approach to Brauer Witt theorem using Shoda pair theory

A classical theorem due to Brauer and Witt implies that every simple component of the rational group algebra QG of a finite group G is Brauer equivalent to a cyclotomic algebra containing Q in its centre. The precise description of this cyclotomic algebra is not available from the proof of the Brauer-Witt theorem and it has been a problem of interest to determine the same in view of its central role in the study of central simple algebras. In this paper, an approach using Shoda pair theory is described, which is quite efficient from computational perspective.

Spectroscopic data of Rb-isoelectronic Zr and Nb ions for astrophysical applications

We present high-accuracy spectroscopy data of line strengths, transition probabilities and oscillator strengths for the allowed transitions among the $nS_{1/2}$, $nP_{1/2,3/2}$ and $n'D_{3/2,5/2}$ states with $n=5$ to $10$ and $n'=4$ to $10$ of the Rb-isoelectronic Zr (Zr IV) and Nb (Nb V) ions. %\textcolor{red}{except for a few transitions that seem to be unreliable.} They can serve to analyse various astrophysical phenomena undergoing inside the heavenly bodies containing Zr and Nb elements. Since there is a lack of precise observational and calculated data for the spectroscopic properties in the above ions, their accurate determinations are of immense interest. The literature data, that are available only for a few selected low-lying transitions, have large discrepancies and they cannot be used reliably for the above purpose. After accounting for electron interactions through random phase approximation, Br\"uckner orbitals, structural radiations and normalizations of wave functions in the relativistic many-body methods, we have evaluated the electric dipole amplitudes precisely. Combining these values with the observed wavelengths, the above transition properties and lifetimes of a number of excited states of the Zr IV and Nb V ions are determined and compared with the literature data.

Radiative properties of Cu-isoelectronic As, Se and Br ions for astrophysical applications

We present precise radiative data of line strengths, transition probabilities and oscillator strengths for the allowed transitions among the $nS_{1/2}$, $nP_{1/2,3/2}$, $n'D_{3/2,5/2}$ and $n'F_{5/2,7/2}$ states with $n=4$ to $6$ and $n'=4,5$ of the Cu-isoelectronic As, Se and Br ions. Due to unavailability of precise observations of these spectroscopic data, their accurate estimations are of great interest and useful in analyzing various astrophysical phenomena undergoing inside the heavenly bodies that contain As, Se and Br elements. An all-order perturbative many-body method in the relativistic theory framework has been employed to determine the atomic wave functions, which are further used to estimate the above quantities with the uncertainties. We found significant differences between some of our results and results that are available earlier.

Semantic Web Prefetching Using Semantic Relatedness between Web pages

Internet as become the way of life in the fast growing digital life.Even with the increase in the internet speed, higher latency time is still a challenge. To reduce latency, caching and pre fetching techniques can be used. However, caching fails for dynamic websites which keeps on changing rapidly. Another technique is web prefetching, which prefetches the web pages that the user is likely to request for in the future. Semantic web prefetching makes use of keywords and descriptive texts like anchor text, titles, text surrounding anchor text of the present web pages for predicting users future requests. Semantic information is embedded within the web pages during their designing for the purpose of reflecting the relationship between the web pages. The client can fetch this information from the server. However, this technique involves load on web designers for adding external tags and on server for providing this information along with the desired page, which is not desirable. This paper is an effort to find the semantic relation between web pages using the keywords provided by the user and the anchor texts of the hyperlinks on the present web page.It provides algorithms for sequential and similar semantic relations. These algorithms will be implemented on the client side which will not cause overhead on designers and load on server for semantic information.

A Framework for Prefetching Relevant Web Pages using Predictive Prefetching Engine (PPE)

This paper presents a framework for increasing the relevancy of the web pages retrieved by the search engine. The approach introduces a Predictive Prefetching Engine (PPE) which makes use of various data mining algorithms on the log maintained by the search engine. The underlying premise of the approach is that in the case of cluster accesses, the next pages requested by users of the Web server are typically based on the current and previous pages requested. Based on same, rules are drawn which then lead the path for prefetching the desired pages. To carry out the desired task of prefetching the more relevant pages, agents have been introduced.
