Renormalization of coupling constants in the minimal SUSY models

The considerable part of the parameter space in the MSSM corresponding to the infrared quasi fixed point scenario is excluded by LEP II bounds on the lightest Higgs boson mass. In the NMSSM the mass of the lightest Higgs boson reaches its maximum value in the strong Yukawa coupling limit when Yukawa couplings are essentially larger than gauge ones at the Grand Unification scale. In this case the renormalization group flow of Yukawa couplings and soft SUSY breaking terms is investigated. The quasi-fixed and invariant lines and surfaces are briefly discussed. The coordinates of the quasi-fixed points, where all solutions are concentrated, are given.

Neutrino Mixing and Leptonic CP Phase in Neutrino Oscillations

Oscillations of the Dirac neutrinos of three generations in vacuum are considered with allowance made for the effect of the CP-violating leptonic phase (analogue of the quark CP phase) in the lepton mixing matrix. The general formulas for the probabilities of neutrino transition from one sort to another in oscillations are obtained as functions of three mixing angles and the CP phase. It is found that the leptonic CP phase can, in principle, be reconstructed by measuring the oscillation-averaged probabilities of neutrino transition from one sort to another. The manifestation of the CP phase as a deviation of the probabilities of direct processes from those of inverse processes is an effect that is practically unobservable as yet.

Higgs bosons in the simplest SUSY models

Nowadays in the MSSM the moderate values of $\tanβ$ are almost excluded by LEP II lower bound on the lightest Higgs boson mass. In the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model the theoretical upper bound on it increases and reaches maximal value in the strong Yukawa coupling limit when all solutions of renormalization group equations are concentrated near the quasi-fixed point. For calculation of Higgs boson spectrum the perturbation theory method can be applied. We investigate the particle spectrum in the framework of the modified NMSSM which leads to the self-consistent solution in the strong Yukawa coupling limit. This model allows one to get $m_h\sim 125$ GeV at values of $\tanβ\ge 1.9$. In the investigated model the lightest Higgs boson mass does not exceed $130.5\pm 3.5$ GeV. The upper bound on the lightest CP-even Higgs boson mass in more complicated supersymmetric models is also discussed.

Particle spectrum in modified NMSSM

The restrictions on the lightest Higgs boson mass in the minimal supersymmetric models are briefly reviewed. The particle spectrum is considered in the framework of the simplest modification of NMSSM that allows to avoid the domain wall problem and to get the self--consistent solution in the strong Yukawa coupling limit. The lightest Higgs boson mass in the investigated model can reach $125 GeV$ at values of $\tanβ\ge 1.9$ and does not exceed $130.5\pm 3.5 GeV$.

Gluons in the QCD bound state problem - a way to exact solution

The colored objects -- quarks and gluons -- being confined in a small volume $V\sim R_0^3,$ $R_0\sim 0.5$fm inside the QCD bound state get there not small masses $m_{q\bar q}\sim 1$GeV, $m_g\sim 0.5$GeV. This drastically simplifies the QCD dynamics, as now the probabilities e.g. of production of one extra massive valent gluon or extra $q\bar q$ pair, turned to be small due to a large gap between corresponding energy levels. The ordinary quantum mechanical perturbation theory calculations made in the paper shows that corresponding dimensionless transition amplitudes $Λ_{MH}=\frac{V_{MH}}{|E^{(0)}_M-E^{(0)}_H|}$ (from meson $q\bar q$ to the hybrid $q\bar qg$) have a value of 20--25% and the mixing of hybrid with glueball $(gg)$ is even smaller (of the order of 10--18%). Taking into account all such mixings with all highly lying Fock states is equivalent to the exact solution of QCD bound state problem. This can be done really summing the small perturbation theory results for these states contributions.

Mass and CKM Matrices of Quarks and Leptons, the Leptonic CP-phase in neutrino oscillations

A general approach for construction of quark and lepton mass matrices is formulated. The hierarchy of quarks and charged leptons ("electrons") is large, it leads using the experimental values of mixing angles to the hierarchical mass matrix slightly deviating from one's suggested earlier by Stech and including naturally the CP-phase. The same method based on the rotation of generation numbers in the diagonal mass matrix is used in the electron-neutrino sector of theory, where neutrino mass matrix is determined by the Majorano see-saw approach. The hierarchy of neutrino masses, much smaller than for quarks, was used including all existing (even preliminary) experimental data on neutrinos mixing. The leptonic mass matrix found in this way includes not known value of the leptonic CP-phase. It leads to a large $ν_μν_τ$ oscillations and suppresses the $ν_eν_τ$ and also $ν_e ν_μ$ oscillations. The explicit expressions for the probabilities of neutrino oscillation were obtained in order to specify the role of leptonic CP-phase. The value of time reversal effect (proportional to $\sinδ'$) was found to be small $\sim 1%$. However, a dependence of the values of $ν_e ν_μ, ν_e ν_τ$ transition probabilities, averaged over oscillations, on the leptonic CP-phase has found to be not small - of order of tens percent.

A connection between inclusive semileptonic decays of bound and free heavy quarks

A relativistic constituent quark model, formulated on the light-front, is used to derive a new parton approximation for the inclusive semileptonic decay width of the B-meson. A simple connection between the decay rate of a free heavy-quark and the one of a heavy-quark bound in a meson or in a baryon is established. The main features of the new approach are the treatment of the b-quark as an on-mass-shell particle and the inclusion of the effects arising from the b-quark transverse motion in the B-meson. In a way conceptually similar to the deep-inelastic scattering case, the B-meson inclusive width is expressed as the integral of the free b-quark partial width multiplied by a bound-state factor related to the b-quark distribution function in the B-meson. The non-perturbative meson structure is described through various quark-model wave functions, constructed via the Hamiltonian light-front formalism using as input both relativized and non-relativistic potential models. A link between spectroscopic quark models and the B-meson decay physics is obtained in this way. Our predictions for the B -> X_c l nu_l and B -> X_u l nu_l decays are used to extract the CKM parameters |V_cb| and |V_ub| from available inclusive data. After averaging over the various quark models adopted and including leading-order perturbative QCD corrections, we obtain |V_cb| = (43.0 +/- 0.7_exp +/- 1.8_th) 10^-3 and |V_ub| = (3.83 +/- 0.48_exp +/- 0.14_th) 10^-3, implying |V_ub / V_cb| = 0.089 +/- 0.011_exp +/- 0.005_th, in nice agreement with existing predictions.

Exclusive and Inclusive Decays of the B_c Meson in the Light-Front ISGW Model

We investigate the total decay rate of the (ground state) $B_c$ meson within the framework of the relativistic constituent quark model formulated on the light-front (LF). The exclusive semileptonic (SL) and nonleptonic (NL) beauty and charm decays of the $B_c$ meson are described through vector and axial hadronic form factors, which are calculated in terms of the overlap of the parent and daughter LF wave functions. The latters are derived via the Hamiltonian LF formalism using as input the update version of the ISGW model. The inclusive SL and NL partial rates are calculated within a convolution approach inspired by the partonic model and involving the same $B_c$ wave function which is used for evaluation of the exclusive modes. We predict the partial rates for 74 exclusive SL and NL channels and 43 inclusive partial rates corresponding to the underlying $\bar{b}\to \bar{c}$ and $c\to s$ quark decays. Based on our approach we find $Γ^{\bar{b}}(B_c)= 0.52 \pm 0.02 ps^{-1}$, $Γ^{c}(B_c)= 0.98 \pm 0.07 ps^{-1}$, where the theoretical uncertainty is dominated by the uncertainty in the choice of the threshold values at which the hadron continuum starts. For the $B_c$ lifetime we obtain $τ_{B_c}= 0.63 \pm 0.02 ps$ in a good agreement with the prediction obtained using the nonrelativistic operator product expansion. We also predict decay rates for many specific weak transitions of $B_c$. In particular, for the branching fractions of the $B^+_c \to J/ψμ^+ν_μ$, $B_c^+\to J/ψπ^+$ and $B_c^+ \to J/ψ+X $ decays we obtain 1.7%, 0.1 % and 13.2%, respectively.

Exclusive and inclusive weak decays of the B-meson

A relativistic quark model is applied to the description of semileptonic and non-leptonic charmed decays of the B-meson. The exclusive semileptonic modes B -> D l νand B -> D* l νare described through the universal Isgur-Wise form factor, which is calculated in terms of a constituent quark model wave function for the B-meson. Different approximations for the latter, either based on a phenomenological ansatz or derived from analyses of the meson spectra, are adopted. In particular, two wave functions, constructed via the Hamiltonian light-front formalism using a relativized and a non-relativistic constituent quark model, are considered, obtaining a link between standard spectroscopic quark models and the B-meson decay physics. The inclusive semileptonic and non-leptonic branching ratios are calculated within a convolution approach, inspired by the partonic model and involving the same B-meson wave function used for the evaluation of the exclusive semileptonic modes. Our results for the major branching ratios are consistent with available experimental data and the sum of all the calculated branching ratios turns out to be close to unity. In particular, we found that: i) a remarkable fraction (~ 35%) of semileptonic decay modes occur in non-D, non-D* final states; ii) non-perturbative effects enhance the inclusive b -> c \bar{u} d decay channels, with a sizable contribution provided by internal decays into heavy mesons and baryon-antibaryon pairs; the resulting reduction of the semileptonic branching ratio brings the theoretical prediction in agreement with the experimental value without increasing at the same time the charm counting.

Charmed decays of the B-meson in the quark model

Exclusive and inclusive, semileptonic and non-leptonic, charmed decays of the B-meson are investigated in the context of a phenomenological quark model. Bound-state effects are taken care of by adopting a single (model-dependent) non-perturbative wave function, describing the motion of the light spectator quark in the B-meson. A nice reproduction of both exclusive and inclusive semileptonic data is obtained. Our predictions for the electron spectrum are presented and compared with those of the Isgur-Scora-Grinstein-Wise quark model. Finally, our approach is applied to the calculation of inclusive non-leptonic widths, obtaining a remarkable agreement with experimental findings.
