He-McKellar-Wilkens effect and Scalar Aharonov-Bohm effect for a neutral particle based on the Lorentz symmetry violation

In this contribution, we discuss the He-McKellar-Wilkens effect and the Scalar Aharonov-Bohm effect for neutral particles based on the Lorentz symmetry violation background, by showing that the background of the Lorentz symmetry violation yields abelian quantum phases for a neutral particle. We also study the nonrelativistic bound states for a neutral particle interacting with a Coulomb-like potential based on the Lorentz symmetry violation background given by a fixed vector field parallel to the radial direction.

Abelian geometric phase for a Dirac neutral particle in a Lorentz symmetry violation environment

We introduce a new term into the Dirac equation based on the Lorentz symmetry violation background in order to make a theoretical description of the relativistic quantum dynamics of a spin-half neutral particle, where the wave function of the neutral particle acquires a relativistic Abelian quantum phase given by the interaction between a fixed time-like 4-vector background and crossed electric and magnetic fields, which is analogous to the geometric phase obtained by Wei \textit{et al} [H. Wei, R. Han and X. Wei, Phys. Rev. Lett. \textbf{75}, 2071 (1995)] for a spinless neutral particle with an induced electric dipole moment. We also discuss the flux dependence of energy levels of bound states analogous to the Aharonov-Bohm effect for bound states.

On the confinement of a quantum particle to a two-dimensional ring in systems described by the Dirac equation

In this contribution, we propose a new model for studying the confinement of a spin-half particle to a two-dimensional quantum ring in systems described by the Dirac equation by introducing a new minimal coupling into the Dirac equation. We show that the introduction of this new minimal coupling into the Dirac equation yields a generalization of the two-dimensional model for a quantum ring proposed by Tan and Inkson [W.-C. Tan and J. C. Inkson, Semicond. Sci. Technol. {\bf11}, 1635 (1996)] for relativistic spin-half quantum particles.

Relativistic Landau quantization for a neutral particle

In this contribution we study the Landau levels arising within the relativistic quantum dynamics of a neutral particle which possesses a permanent magnetic dipole moment interacting with an external electric field. We consider the Aharonov-Casher coupling of magnetic dipole to the electric field to investigate an an analog of Landau quantization in this system and solve the Dirac equation for two different field configurations. The eigenfunctions and eigenvalues of Hamiltonian in both cases are obtained.

Landau quantization for a neutral particle in presence of topological defects

In this paper we study the Landau levels in the non-relativistic dynamics of a neutral particle which possesses a permanent magnetic dipole moment interacting with an external electric field in the curved spacetime background with the presence or absence of a torsion field. The eigenfunction and eigenvalues of Hamiltonian are obtained. We show that the presence of the topological defect breaks the infinite degeneracy of the Landau levels arising in this system. We also apply a duality transformation to discuss this same quantization for a dynamics of a neutral particle with a permanent electric dipole moment.

Geometric Phase for Neutral Particle in the Presence of a Topological Defect

In this paper we study the quantum dynamics of a neutral particle in the presence of a topological defect. We investigate the appearance of a geometric phase in the relativistic quantum dynamics of neutral particle which possesses permanent magnetic and electric dipole moments in the presence of an electromagnetic fields in this curved background. The nonrelativistic quantum dynamics are investigated using the Foldy-Wouthuysen expansion. The gravitational Aharonov-Casher and He-Mckellar-Wilkens effects are investigated for a series of electric and magnetic fields configurations.
