First measurements of the absolute branching fraction of $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^+π^-$ and upper limit on $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^+π^-$

The absolute branching fraction of the decay $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^+π^-$ is measured for the first time to be $(50.7 \pm 5.0_{\rm{stat.}} \pm 4.9_{\rm{syst.}} )\%$ with 368.48 pb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected by the BESIII detector at the center-of-mass energies of $\sqrt{s} = 4.918$ and $4.950$ GeV. This result is lower than the naive prediction of 67\%, obtained from isospin symmetry, by more than $2σ$, thereby indicating that the novel mechanism referred to as the \textit{threshold effect}, proposed for the strong decays of $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}$, also applies to $Λ_{c}(2625)^{+}$. This measurement is necessary to obtain the coupling constants for the transitions between $s$-wave and $p$-wave charmed baryons in heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory. In addition, we search for the decay $Λ_{c}(2595)^{+}\to Λ^{+}_{c}π^+π^-$. No significant signal is observed, and the upper limit on its branching fraction is determined to be 80.8\% at the 90\% confidence level.

Measurements of $Σ$ electromagnetic form factors in the time-like region using the untagged initial-state radiation technique

The process $e^{+}e^{-}\toΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ is studied from threshold up to 3.04 GeV/$c^2$ via the initial-state radiation technique using data with an integrated luminosity of 12.0 fb$^{-1}$, collected at center-of-mass energies between 3.773 and 4.258 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The pair production cross sections and the effective form factors of $Σ$ are measured in eleven $Σ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ invariant mass intervals from threshold to 3.04 GeV/$c^2$. The results are consistent with the previous results from Belle and BESIII. Furthermore, the branching fractions of the decays $J/ψ\toΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ and $ψ(3686)\toΣ^{+}\barΣ^{-}$ are determined and the obtained results are consistent with the previous results of BESIII.

Study of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays $D^+_s\to K^+K^+π^-$ and $D^+_s\to K^+K^+π^-π^0$

Based on 7.33 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at center-of-mass energies between 4.128 and 4.226 GeV with the BESIII detector, the experimental studies of the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decays $D^+_s\to K^+K^+π^-$ and $D^+_s\to K^+K^+π^-π^0$ are reported. We determine the absolute branching fraction of $D^+_s\to K^+K^+π^-$ to be (${1.23^{+0.28}_{-0.25}}({\rm stat})\pm0.06({\rm syst})$) $\times 10^{-4}$. No significant signal of $D^+_s\to K^+K^+π^-π^0$ is observed and the upper limit on its decay branching fraction at 90\% confidence level is set to be $1.7\times10^{-4}$.

Updated measurements of the M1 transition $ψ(3686) \to γη_{c}(2S)$ with $η_{c}(2S) \to K \bar{K} π$

Based on a data sample of $(27.08 \pm 0.14 ) \times 10^8~ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the M1 transition $ψ(3686) \to γη_{c}(2S)$ with $η_{c}(2S) \to K\bar{K}π$ is studied, where $K\bar{K}π$ is $K^{+} K^{-} π^{0}$ or $K_{S}^{0}K^{\pm}π^{\mp}$. The mass and width of the $η_{c}(2S)$ are measured to be $(3637.8 \pm 0.8 (\rm {stat}) \pm 0.2 (\rm {syst}))$ MeV/$c^{2}$ and $(10.5 \pm 1.7 (\rm {stat}) \pm 3.5 (\rm {syst}))$ MeV, respectively. The product branching fraction $\mathcal{B}\left(ψ(3686) \rightarrow γη_{c}(2 S)\right) \times \mathcal{B}(η_{c}(2 S) \rightarrow K \bar{K} π)$ is determined to be $(0.97 \pm 0.06 (\rm {stat}) \pm 0.09 (\rm {syst})) \times 10^{-5}$. Using $\mathcal{BR}(η_{c}(2S)\to K\bar{K}π)=(1.86^{+0.68}_{-0.49})\%$, we obtain the branching fraction of the radiative transition to be $\mathcal{BR}(ψ(3686) \to γη_{c}(2S)) = (5.2 \pm 0.3 (\rm {stat}) \pm 0.5 (\rm {syst}) ^{+1.9}_{-1.4} (extr)) \times 10^{-4}$, where the third uncertainty is due to the quoted $\mathcal{BR}(η_{c}(2S) \to K\bar{K}π)$.

Measurement of the $e^+e^-\toπ^+π^-J/ψ$ cross section in the vicinity of 3.872 GeV

We report a measurement of the cross section for the process $e^+e^-\toπ^+π^-J/ψ$ around the $X(3872)$ mass in search for the direct formation of $e^+e^-\to X(3872)$ through the two-photon fusion process. No enhancement of the cross section is observed at the $X(3872)$ peak and an upper limit on the product of electronic width and branching fraction of $X(3872)\toπ^+π^-J/ψ$ is determined to be $Γ_{ee}\times\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\toπ^+π^-J/ψ)<7.5\times10^{-3}\,\text{eV}$ at $90\,\%$ confidence level under an assumption of total width of $1.19\pm0.21$ MeV. This is an improvement of a factor of about $17$ compared to the previous limit. Furthermore, using the latest result of $\mathcal{B}(X(3872)\toπ^+π^-J/ψ)$, an upper limit on the electronic width $Γ_{ee}$ of $X(3872)$ is obtained to be $<0.32\,\text{eV}$ at the $90\,\%$ confidence level.
