From Bose condensation to quantum gravity and back

We account for the interaction of the Bose-condensed fraction with the normal phase in an effective dynamical equation such as the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. We show that the low-energy excitations can be treated as sound waves with speed dependent on the condensate density. This allows us to reduce the problem to the calculation of the determinant of the Laplace operator on a curved space and apply standard methods of quantum gravity to get the leading logarithmic contribution of the determinant. This produces the first quantum correction due to the noncondensed fraction to the Gross-Pitaevskii equation for the condensate. The correction describes an additional quantum pressure in the condensate and evaporation-condensation effects.

q-Functional Field Theory for particles with exotic statistics

In the paper we give consecutive description of functional methods of quantum field theory for systems of interacting q-particles. These particles obey exotic statistics and appear in many problems of condensed matter physics, magnetism and quantum optics. Motivated by the general ideas of standard field theory we derive formulae in q-functional derivatives for the partition function and Green's functions generating functional for systems of exotic particles. This leads to a corresponding perturbation series and a diagram technique. Results are illustrated by a consideration of an one-dimensional q-particle system and compared with some exact expressions obtained earlier.

q-Functional Wick's theorems for particles with exotic statistics

In the paper we begin a description of functional methods of quantum field theory for systems of interacting q-particles. These particles obey exotic statistics and are the q-generalization of the colored particles which appear in many problems of condensed matter physics, magnetism and quantum optics. Motivated by the general ideas of standard field theory we prove the q-functional analogues of Hori's formulation of Wick's theorems for the different ordered q-particle creation and annihilation operators. The formulae have the same formal expressions as fermionic and bosonic ones but differ by a nature of fields. This allows us to derive the perturbation series for the theory and develop analogues of standard quantum field theory constructions in q-functional form.

First quantum corrections for a hydrodynamics of a nonideal Bose gas

In the paper we consider a hydrodynamical description of a nonideal Bose gas in one-loop approximation. We calculate an effective action which consists of mean field contributions and first quantum correction. This provides the equations of motion for the density and velocity of the gas where both mean field contributions and fluctuations are presented. To fulfill the calculation we make use of the formalism of functional integrals to map the problem to a problem of quantum gravity to benefit from a well-developed technique in this field. This effective action provides all correlation functions for the system and is a basis for a consideration of dynamics of the gas. Response functions are briefly discussed. Applications to the trapped bosons are reviewed. Together with Ref.\cite{IS} the paper provide complete description of the condensate fraction and the deplition in the case of Bose condensed gases.

Hydrodynamics of a Bose condensate: beyond the mean field approximation (II)

Self-consistent hydrodynamic one-loop quantum corrections to the Gross-Pitaevskii equation due to the interaction of the condensate with collective excitations are calculated. It is done by making use a formalism of effective action and $ζ$-function regularization for a contribution from Bogoliubov particles in hydrodynamic approximation. It turns out to be possible to reduce the problem to the investigation of a determinant of Laplace operator on curved space where a metric is defined by density and velocity of the condensate. Standard methods of quantum gravity let us get the leading logarithmic contribution of the determinant and corresponding quantum corrections. They describe an additional quantum pressure in the condensate, local heating-cooling and evaporation-condensation effects of the Bose-condensed fraction. The effects of these corrections are studied for the correction from excited states in equilibrium situation. Response functions and form factors are discussed in the same approximation.

Exact results on linear response of cyclic molecular aggregates

Basing on the picture of Frenkel excitons in molecular crystals described by the XY-model we consider the linear response of linear cyclic aggregates at finite temperature. The exact results for characteristics of the response are obtained. In particular, we calculate time-dependent two-point correlation functions at finite temperature for the cyclic 1-D XY-model.

Generalization of Agranovich-Toshich transformation and constraint free bosonic representation for systems of truncated oscillators

The generalization of Agranovich-Toshich representation of paulion operators in terms of bosonic ones for the case of truncated oscillators of higher ranks is represented. We use this generalization to introduce a new constraint free bosonic description of truncated oscillator systems. The corresponding functional integral representations for thermodynamic quantities are given and the application to investigations of Long Rang Order in the system is discussed.

Fractional dimensional Fock space and Haldane's exclusion statistics. q/p case

The discussion of Fractional dimensional Hilbert spaces in the context of Haldane exclusion statistics is extended from the case \cite{IG} of $g=1/p$ for the statistical parameter to the case of rational $g=q/p$ with $q,p$-coprime positive integers. The corresponding statistical mechanics for a gas of such particles is constructed. This procedure is used to define the statistical mechanics for particles with irrational $g$. Applications to strongly correlated systems such as the Hubbard and $t-J$ models are discussed.

A Generalization of Haldane state-counting procedure and $π$-deformations of statistics

We consider the generalization of Haldane's state-counting procedure to describe all possible types of exclusion statistics which are linear in the deformation parameter $g$. The statistics are parametrized by elements of the symmetric group of the particles in question. For several specific cases we determine the form of the distribution functions which generalizes results obtained by Wu. Using them we analyze the low-temperature behavior and thermodynamic properties of these systems and compare our results with previous studies of the thermodynamics of a gas of $g$-ons. Various possible physical applications of these constructions are discussed.

Fractional dimensional Hilbert spaces and Haldane's exclusion statistics

We examine the notion of Haldane's dimension and the corresponding statistics in a probabilistic spirit. Motivated by the example of dimensional-regularization we define the dimension of a space as the trace of a diagonal `unit operator', where the diagonal matrix elements are not, in general, unity but are probabilities to place the system into a given state. These probabilities are uniquely defined by the rules of Haldane's statistics. We calculate the second virial coefficient for our system and demonstrate agreement with Murthy and Shankar's calculation. The partition function for an ideal gas of the particles, a state-counting procedure, the entropy and a distribution function for the particles are investigated using our probabilistic definition. We compare our results with previous calculations of exclusion statistics.

Supersymmetric Berry Index

We revise the sequences of SUSY for a cyclic adiabatic evolution governed by the supersymmetric quantum mechanical Hamiltonian. The condition (supersymmetric adiabatic evolution) under which the supersymmetric reductions of Berry (nondegenerated case) or Wilczek-Zee (degenerated case) phases of superpartners are taking place is pointed out. The analogue of Witten index (supersymmetric Berry index) is determined. As the examples of suggested concept of supersymmetric adiabatic evolution the Holomorphic quantum mechanics on complex plane and Meromorphic quantum mechanics on Riemann surface are considered. The supersymmetric Berry indexes for the models are calculated.
