Open Gromov-Witten invariants in genus zero and Lagrangian cobordisms

We construct open Gromov-Witten invariants in genus zero for arbitrary closed symplectic manifolds and embedded relatively spin Lagrangians, which are weakly unobstructed by a bounding cochain. This uses the foundational work of \cite{HH25,HH26} and the algebraic framework of \cite{ST21}. We prove the open WDVV relations and show that these invariants are independent of the choice of almost complex structure and under Hamiltonian isotopy. We also prove a relation between open Gromov-Witten invariants of cobordant Lagrangians.

Open-closed Deligne-Mumford field theories: geometric foundations

We construct global Kuranishi charts for moduli spaces of pseudo-holomorphic maps of arbitrary genus with boundary on an embedded Lagrangian submanifold. We then build the geometric foundations required for obtaining compatible chain-level operations, which are employed in follow-up work to construct an open-closed Deligne-Mumford field theory.

Open-closed Deligne-Mumford field theories: construction

Open-closed Deligne--Mumford field theories are chain-level field theories based on moduli spaces of stable curves with boundary. We associate to a relatively spin embedded Lagrangian $L \subset (X,ω)$ such an open-closed DMFT. It extends the Fukaya $A_\infty$ algebra to curves of arbitrarily high genus and with arbitrarily many boundary components and is unique up to homotopy. This is the first step in proving Kontsevich's conjecture that the Fukaya category determines the Gromov--Witten invariants of $X$, following a strategy delineated by Costello.

The cyclic open-closed map, u-connections and R-matrices

This paper considers the (negative) cyclic open-closed map $\mathcal{OC}^{-}$, which maps the cyclic homology of the Fukaya category of a symplectic manifold to its $S^1$-equivariant quantum cohomology. We prove (under simplifying technical hypotheses) that this map respects the respective natural connections in the direction of the equivariant parameter. In the monotone setting this allows us to conclude that $\mathcal{OC}^{-}$ intertwines the decomposition of the Fukaya category by eigenvalues of quantum cup product with the first Chern class, with the Hukuhara-Levelt-Turrittin decomposition of the quantum cohomology. We also explain how our results relate to the Givental-Teleman classification of semisimple cohomological field theories: in particular, how the R-matrix is related to $\mathcal{OC}^{-}$ in the semisimple case; we also consider the non-semisimple case.

Open Gromov-Witten invariants from the Fukaya category

This paper proposes a framework to show that the Fukaya category of a symplectic manifold $X$ determines the open Gromov-Witten invariants of Lagrangians $L \subset X$. We associate to an object in an $A_\infty$-category an extension of the negative cyclic homology, called \emph{relative cyclic homology}. We extend the Getzler-Gauss-Manin connection to relative cyclic homology. Then, we construct (under simplifying technical assumptions) a relative cyclic open-closed map, which maps the relative cyclic homology of a Lagrangian $L$ in the Fukaya category of a symplectic manifold $X$ to the $S^1$-equivariant relative quantum homology of $(X,L)$. Relative quantum homology is the dual to the relative quantum cohomology constructed by Solomon-Tukachinsky. This is an extension of quantum cohomology, and comes equipped with a connection extending the quantum connection. We prove that the relative open-closed map respects connections. As an application of this framework, we show, assuming a construction of the relative cyclic open-closed map in a broader technical setup, that the Fukaya category of a Calabi-Yau variety determines the open Gromov-Witten invariants with one interior marked point for any null-homologous Lagrangian brane.

On the quantum differential equations for a family of non-Kähler monotone symplectic manifolds

In this paper we prove Gamma Conjecture $1$ for twistor bundles of hyperbolic $6$ manifolds, which are monotone symplectic manifolds which admit no Kähler structure. The proof involves a direct computation of the $J$-function, and a version of Laplace's method for estimating power series (as opposed to integrals). This method allows us to rephrase Gamma Conjecture $1$ in certain situations to an Apéry-like discrete limit. We use this to give a simple proof of Gamma Conjecture $1$ for projective spaces. Additionally we show that the quantum connections of the twistor bundles we consider have unramified exponential type.

Examples of relative quantum cohomology

We compute the quantum cohomology relative to a Lagrangian submanifold in some complete intersections. For quadric hypersurfaces, we also give a full computation of the genus zero open Gromov-Witten invariants.
