Temperley-Lieb Algebra, Yang-Baxterization and Universal Gate

A method of constructing $n^{2}\times n^{2}$ matrix solutions(with $n^{3}$ matrix elements) of Temperley-Lieb algebra relation is presented in this paper. The single loop of these solutions are $d=\sqrt{n}$. Especially, a $9\times9-$matrix solution with single loop d=$\sqrt{3}$ is discussed in detail. An unitary Yang-Baxter $\breve{R}(θ,q_{1},q_{2})$ matrix is obtained via the Yang-Baxterization process. The entanglement property and geometric property (\emph{i.e.} Berry Phase) of this Yang-Baxter system are explored.

Entanglement and Berry Phase in a $9\times 9$ Yang-Baxter system

A M-matrix which satisfies the Hecke algebraic relations is presented. Via the Yang-Baxterization approach, we obtain a unitary solution $\breve{R}(θ,φ_{1},φ_{2})$ of Yang-Baxter Equation. It is shown that any pure two-qutrit entangled states can be generated via the universal $\breve{R}$-matrix assisted by local unitary transformations. A Hamiltonian is constructed from the $\breve{R}$-matrix, and Berry phase of the Yang-Baxter system is investigated. Specifically, for $ φ_{1}=φ_{2}$, the Hamiltonian can be represented based on three sets of SU(2) operators, and three oscillator Hamiltonians can be obtained. Under this framework, the Berry phase can be interpreted.

Entanglement and Berry Phase in a $(3\times 3)-$dimensional Yang-Baxter system

Based on the method which is given in Ref. [Sun et.al. arXiv:0904.0092v1], we present another $9\times 9$ unitary $\breve{R}-$matrix, solution of the Yang-Baxter Equation, is obtained in this paper. The entanglement properties of $\breve{R}-$matrix is investigated, and the arbitrary degree of entanglement for two-qutrit entangled states can be generated via $\breve{R}$-matrix acting on the standard basis. A Yang-Baxter Hamiltonian can be constructed from unitary $\breve{R}-$matrix. Then the geometric properties of this system is studied. The results showed that the Berry phase of this system can be represented under the framework of SU(2) algebra.

Berry phase and entanglement of 3 qubits in a new Yang-Baxter system

In this paper we construct a new $8\times8$ $\mathbb{M}$ matrix from the $4\times4$ $M$ matrix, where $\mathbb{M}$ / $M$ is the image of the braid group representation. The $ 8\times8 $ $\mathbb{M}$ matrix and the $4\times4$ $M$ matrix both satisfy extraspecial 2-groups algebra relations. By Yang-Baxteration approach, we derive a unitary $ \breve{R}(θ, ϕ)$ matrix from the $\mathbb{M}$ matrix with parameters $ϕ$ and $θ$. Three-qubit entangled states can be generated by using the $\breve{R}(θ,ϕ)$ matrix. A Hamiltonian for 3 qubits is constructed from the unitary $\breve{R}(θ,ϕ)$ matrix. We then study the entanglement and Berry phase of the Yang-Baxter system.

The representations of Temperley-Lieb algebras and entanglement in a Yang-Baxter system

A method of constructing Temperley-Lieb algebras(TLA) representations has been introduced in [Xue \emph{et.al} arXiv:0903.3711]. Using this method, we can obtain another series of $n^{2}\times n^{2}$ matrices $U$ which satisfy the TLA with the single loop $d=\sqrt{n}$. Specifically, we present a $9\times9$ matrix $U$ with $d=\sqrt{3}$. Via Yang-Baxterization approach, we obtain a unitary $ \breve{R}(θ,φ_{1},φ_{2})$-matrix, a solution of the Yang-Baxter Equation. This $9\times9$ Yang-Baxter matrix is universal for quantum computing.

Exact Solution of a Yang-Baxter Spin-1/2 Chain Model and Quantum Entanglement

Entanglement is believed to be crucial in macroscopic physical systems for understanding the collective quantum phenomena such as quantum phase transitions. We start from and solve exactly a novel Yang-Baxter spin-1/2 chain model with inhomogeneous and anisotropic short-range interactions. For the ground state, we show the behavior of neighboring entanglement in the parameter space and find that the inhomogeneous coupling strengths affect entanglement in a distinctive way from the homogeneous case, but this would not affect the coincidence between entanglement and quantum criticality.

Optical Simulation of Yang-Baxter Equation

In this paper, several proposals of optically simulating Yang-Baxter equations have been presented. Motivated by the recent development of anyon theory, we apply Temperley-Lieb algebra as a bridge to recast four-dimentional Yang-Baxter equation into its two-dimensional counterpart. In accordance with both representations, we find the corresponding linear-optical simulations, based on the highly efficient optical elements. Both the freedom degrees of photon polarization and location are utilized as the qubit basis, in which the unitary Yang-Baxter matrices are decomposed into combination of actions of basic optical elements.

Bogoliubov Hamiltonian as Derivative of Dirac Hamiltonian via Braid Relation

In this paper we discuss a new type of 4-dimensional representation of the braid group. The matrices of braid operations are constructed by q-deformation of Hamiltonians. One is the Dirac Hamiltonian for free electron with mass m, the other, which we find, is related to the Bogoliubov Hamiltonian for quasiparticles in $^3$He-B with the same free energy and mass being m/2. In the process, we choose the free q-deformation parameter as a special value in order to be consistent with the anyon description for fractional quantum Hall effect with $ν= 1/2$.

Braiding transformation, entanglement swapping and Berry phase in entanglement space

We show that braiding transformation is a natural approach to describe quantum entanglement, by using the unitary braiding operators to realize entanglement swapping and generate the GHZ states as well as the linear cluster states. A Hamiltonian is constructed from the unitary $\check{R}_{i,i+1}(θ,ϕ)$-matrix, where $ϕ=ωt$ is time-dependent while $θ$ is time-independent. This in turn allows us to investigate the Berry phase in the entanglement space.

Yangian and Applications

In this paper, the Yangian relations are tremendously simplified for Yangians associated to SU(2), SU(3), SO(5) and SO(6) based on RTT relations that much benefit the realization of Yangian in physics. The physical meaning and some applications of Yangian have been shown.

Continuous Multipartite Entangled State in Wigner Representation and the Violation of Zukowski-Brukner Inequality

We construct an explicit Wigner function for N-mode squeezed state. Based on a previous observation that the Wigner function describes correlations in the joint measurement of the phase-space displaced parity operator, we investigate the non-locality of multipartite entangled state by the violation of Zukowski-Brukner N-qubit Bell inequality. We find that quantum predictions for such squeezed state violate these inequalities by an amount that grows with the number N.

A realization of Yangian and its applications to the bi-spin system

Yangian $Y(sl(2))$ is realized in the bi-spin system coupled with a time-dependent external magnetic field. It is shown that $Y(sl(2))$ generators can describe the transitions between the ``spin triplet'' and the ``spin singlet'' that evolve with time. Furthermore, new transition operators between the states with Berry phase factor and those between the states of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) are presented.

SO(5) structure of p-wave superconductivity for spin-dipole interaction model

A closed SO(5) algebraic structure in the the mean-field form of the Hamiltonian the pure p-wave superconductivity is found that can help to diagonalized by making use of the Bogoliubov rotation instead of the Balian-Werthamer approach. we point out that the eigenstate is nothing but SO(5)-coherent state with fermionic realization. By applying the approach to the Hamiltonian with dipole interaction of Leggett the consistency between the diagonalization and gap equation is proved through the double-time Green function. The relationship between the s-wave and p-wave superconductivities turns out to be recognized through Yangian algebra, a new type of infinite-dimensional algebra.

Local U(1) symmetry in Y(so(5)) associated with Massless Thirring Model and its Bethe Ansatz

The Massless Thirring model associated with SO(5) is solved in terms of the local U(1) symmetry. The local U(1) symmetry is related to q-deformation of four-component field operators due to the nonlinear interaction for differently internal degree of freedom. The Bethe ansatz wavefunction is also discussed. In addition, the local U(1) symmetry in the Yangian associated with SO(5)(Y(SO(5))) is explored.

The constructed generators of Yangian are proved to satisfy the Drinfel'd formula and furthermore, the $RTT$ relation with the general form of rational R-matrix given by Yang-Baxterization associated with $so(5)$ algebraic structure.

The Happer's puzzle degeneracies and Yangian

We find operators distinguishing the degenerate states for the Hamiltonian $H= x(K+{1/2})S_z +{\bf K}\cdot {\bf S}$ at $x=\pm 1$ that was given by Happer et al$^{[1,2]}$ to interpret the curious degeneracies of the Zeeman effect for condensed vapor of $^{87}$Rb. The operators obey Yangian commutation relations. We show that the curious degeneracies seem to verify the Yangian algebraic structure for quantum tensor space and are consistent with the representation theory of $Y(sl(2))$.
