A characterization of two weight norm inequality for Littlewood-Paley $g_λ^{*}$-function

Let $n\ge 2$ and $g_λ^{*}$ be the well-known high dimensional Littlewood-Paley function which was defined and studied by E. M. Stein, \begin{align*} g_λ^{*}(f)(x) =\bigg(\iint_{\mathbb R^{n+1}_{+}} \Big(\frac{t}{t+|x-y|}\Big)^{nλ} |\nabla P_tf(y,t)|^2 \frac{dy dt}{t^{n-1}}\bigg)^{1/2}, \ \quad λ> 1, \end{align*} where $P_tf(y,t)=p_t*f(y)$, $p_t(y)=t^{-n}p(y/t)$ and $p(x) = (1+|x|^2)^{-(n+1)/2}$, $\nabla =(\frac{\partial}{\partial y_1},\ldots,\frac{\partial}{\partial y_n},\frac{\partial}{\partial t})$. In this paper, we give a characterization of two-weight norm inequality for $g_λ^{*}$-function. We show that, $\big\| g_λ^{*}(f σ) \big\|_{L^2(w)} \lesssim \big\| f \big\|_{L^2(σ)}$ if and only if the two-weight Muchenhoupt $A_2$ condition holds, and a testing condition holds : \begin{align*} \sup_{Q : cubes \ in \mathbb R^n} \frac{1}{σ(Q)} \int_{\mathbb R^n} \iint_{\widehat{Q}} \Big(\frac{t}{t+|x-y|}\Big)^{nλ}|\nabla P_t(\mathbf{1}_Q σ)(y,t)|^2 \frac{w dx dt}{t^{n-1}} dy < \infty, \end{align*} where $\widehat{Q}$ is the Carleson box over $Q$ and $(w, σ)$ is a pair of weights. We actually prove this characterization for $g_λ^{*}$-function associated with more general fractional Poisson kernel $p^α(x) = (1+|x|^2)^{-{(n+α)}/{2}}$. Moreover, the corresponding results for intrinsic $g_λ^*$-function are also presented.

Weak and strong $A_p$-$A_\infty$ estimates for square functions and related operators

We prove sharp weak and strong type weighted estimates for a class of dyadic operators that includes majorants of both standard singular integrals and square functions. Our main new result is the optimal bound $[w]_{A_p}^{1/p}[w]_{A_\infty}^{1/2-1/p}\lesssim [w]_{A_p}^{1/2}$ for the weak type norm of square functions on $L^p(w)$ for $p>2$; previously, such a bound was only known with a logarithmic correction. By the same approach, we also recover several related results in a streamlined manner.

Sharp weighted estimates involving one supremum

In this note, we study the sharp weighted estimate involving one supremum. In particular, we give a positive answer to an open question raised by Lerner and Moen \cite{LM}. We also extend the result to rough homogeneous singular integral operators.

Sparse bounds for maximal rough singular integrals via the Fourier transform

We prove that the class of convolution-type kernels satisfying suitable decay conditions of the Fourier transform, appearing in the works of Christ, Christ-Rubio de Francia, and Duoandikoetxea-Rubio de Francia gives rise to maximally truncated singular integrals satisfying a sparse bound by $(1+\varepsilon,1+\varepsilon)$-averages for all $\varepsilon>0$, with linear growth in $\varepsilon^{-1}$. This is an extension of the sparse domination principle by Conde-Alonso, Culiuc, Ou and the first author to maximally truncated singular integrals. Our results cover the rough homogeneous singular integrals $T_Ω$ on $\mathbb{R}^d$ with bounded angular part $Ω$ having vanishing integral on the $(d-1)$-dimensional sphere. Consequences of our sparse bound include novel quantitative weighted norm estimates as well as Fefferman-Stein type inequalities. In particular, we obtain that the $L^2(w)$ norm of the maximal truncation of $T_Ω$ depends quadratically on the Muckenhoupt constant $[w]_{A_2}$, extending a result originally by Roncal, Tapiola and the second author. A suitable convex-body valued version of the sparse bound is also deduced and employed towards novel matrix weighted norm inequalities for the maximal truncated rough homogeneous singular integrals. Our result is quantitative, but even the qualitative statement is new, and the present approach via sparse domination is the only one currently known for the matrix weighted bounds of this class of operators.

Bilinear representation theorem

We represent a general bilinear Calderón-Zygmund operator as a sum of simple dyadic operators. The appearing dyadic operators also admit a simple proof of a sparse bound. In particular, the representation implies a so called sparse T1 theorem for bilinear singular integrals.

Weighted mixed weak-type inequalities for multilinear operators

In this paper we present a theorem that generalizes Sawyer's classic result about mixed weighted inequalities to the multilinear context. Let $\vec{w}=(w_1,...,w_m)$ and $ν= w_1^\frac{1}{m}...w_m^\frac{1}{m}$, the main result of the paper sentences that under different conditions on the weights we can obtain $$\Bigg\| \frac{T(\vec f\,)(x)}{v}\Bigg\|_{L^{\frac{1}{m}, \infty}(νv^\frac{1}{m})} \leq C \ \prod_{i=1}^m{\|f_i\|_{L^1(w_i)}}, $$ where $T$ is a multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operator. To obtain this result we first prove it for the $m$-fold product of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator $M$, and also for $\mathcal{M}(\vec{f})(x)$: the multi(sub)linear maximal function introduced in \cite{LOPTT}. As an application we also prove a vector-valued extension to the mixed weighted weak-type inequalities of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators.

Proof of an extension of E. Sawyer's conjecture about weighted mixed weak-type estimates

We show that if $v\in A_\infty$ and $u\in A_1$, then there is a constant $c$ depending on the $A_1$ constant of $u$ and the $A_{\infty}$ constant of $v$ such that $$\Big\|\frac{ T(fv)} {v}\Big\|_{L^{1,\infty}(uv)}\le c\, \|f\|_{L^1(uv)},$$ where $T$ can be the Hardy-Littlewood maximal function or any Calderón-Zygmund operator. This result was conjectured in [IMRN, (30)2005, 1849--1871] and constitutes the most singular case of some extensions of several problems proposed by E. Sawyer and Muckenhoupt and Wheeden. We also improve and extends several quantitative estimates.

New bounds for bilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators and applications

In this work we extend Lacey's domination theorem to prove the pointwise control of bilinear Calderón--Zygmund operators with Dini--continuous kernel by sparse operators. The precise bounds are carefully tracked following the spirit in a recent work of Hytönen, Roncal and Tapiola. We also derive new mixed weighted estimates for a general class of bilinear dyadic positive operators using multiple $A_{\infty}$ constants inspired in the Fujii-Wilson and Hrusčěv classical constants. These estimates have many new applications including mixed bounds for multilinear Calderón--Zygmund operators and their commutators with $BMO$ functions, square functions and multilinear Fourier multipliers.

Two weight inequalities for bilinear forms

Let $1\le p_0<p,q <q_0\le \infty$. Given a pair of weights $(w,σ)$ and a sparse family $\mathcal S$, we study the two weight inequality for the following bi-sublinear form \[ B(f, g)= \sum_{Q\in\mathcal S}\langle |f|^{p_0}\rangle_Q^{\frac 1{p_0}} \langle|g|^{q_0'}\rangle_Q^{\frac 1{q_0'}}λ_Q\le \mathcal N\|f\|_{L^{p}(w)}\|g\|_{L^{q'}(σ)}. \] When $λ_Q=|Q|$ and $p=q$, Bernicot, Frey and Petermichl showed that $B(f,g)$ dominates $\langle Tf, g\rangle$ for a large class of singular non-kernel operators. We give a characterization for the above inequality and then obtain the mixed $A_p$-$A_\infty$ estimates and the corresponding entropy bounds when $λ_Q=|Q|$ and $p=q$. We also proposed a new conjecture which implies both the one supremum conjecture and the separated bump conjecture.

On $A_p$-$A_\infty$ type estimates for square functions

We prove strong-type $A_p$-$A_\infty$ estimate for square functions, improving on the $ A_p$ bound due to Lerner. Entropy bounds, in the recent innovation of Treil-Volberg, are then proved. The techniques of proof include parallel stopping cubes, pigeon-hole arguments, and the approach to entropy bounds of Lacey--Spencer.

$A_p$-$A_\infty$ estimates for general multilinear sparse operators

In this paper, we study the $A_p$-$A_\infty$ estimates for a class of multilinear dyadic positive operators. As applications, the $A_p$-$A_\infty$ estimates for different operators e.g. multilinear square functions and multilinear Fourier multipliers can be deduced very easily.

Two-weight $L^p$-$L^q$ bounds for positive dyadic operators: unified approach to $p\leq q$ and $p>q$

We characterize the $L^p(σ)\to L^q(ω)$ boundedness of positive dyadic operators of the form $ T(fσ)=\sum_{Q\in\mathscr{D}}λ_Q\int_Q f\,\mathrm{d}σ\cdot 1_Q, $ and the $L^{p_1}(σ_1)\times L^{p_2}(σ_2)\to L^q(ω)$ boundedness of their bilinear analogues, for arbitrary locally finite measures $σ,σ_1,σ_2,ω$. In the linear case, we unify the existing "Sawyer testing" (for $p\leq q$) and "Wolff potential" (for $p>q$) characterizations into a new "sequential testing" characterization valid in all cases. We extend these ideas to the bilinear case, obtaining both sequential testing and potential type characterizations for the bilinear operator and all $p_1,p_2,q\in(1,\infty)$. Our characterization covers the previously unknown case $q<\frac{p_1p_2}{p_1+p_2}$, where we introduce a new two-measure Wolff potential.

Two weight norm inequalities for the $g$ function

Given two weights $σ, w$ on $\mathbb R ^{n}$, the classical $g$-function satisfies the norm inequality $\lVert g (fσ)\rVert_{L ^2 (w)} \lesssim \lVert f\rVert_{L ^2 (σ)}$ if and only if the two weight Muckenhoupt $A_2$ condition holds, and a family of testing conditions holds, namely \begin{equation*} \iint_{Q (I)} (\nabla P_t (σ\mathbf 1_I)(x, t))^2 \; dw \, t dt \lesssim σ(I) \end{equation*} uniformly over all cubes $I \subset \mathbb R ^{n}$, and $Q (I)$ is the Carleson box over $I$. A corresponding characterization for the intrinsic square function of Wilson also holds.

Two weight norm inequalities for the bilinear fractional integrals

In this paper, we give a characterization of the two weight strong and weak type norm inequalities for the bilinear fractional integrals. Namely, we give the characterization of the following inequalities, \[ \|\mathcal I_α(f_1σ_1, f_2σ_2)\|_{L^q(w)} \le \mathscr N \prod_{i=1}^2\|f_i\|_{L^{p_i}(σ_i)} \] and \[ \|\mathcal I_α(f_1σ_1, f_2σ_2)\|_{L^{q,\infty}(w)} \le \mathscr N_{\textup{weak}} \prod_{i=1}^2\|f_i\|_{L^{p_i}(σ_i)}, \] when $q\ge p_1, p_2>1$ and $p_1+p_2\ge p_1p_2$.
