Positron Channeling

The possibility of channeling the low-energy relativistic positrons around separate crystallographic axes with coaxial symmetry of negative ions in some types of crystals is shown. The process of annihilation of positrons with electrons of medium was studied in detail.

Threshold for FELWI operation

It is shown that the possibility to create the free electron laser without inversion (FELWI) has a threshold behavior on the field of intensity of amplified wave. In the collective approach, the description of threshold conditions is given. It is shown that the threshold of observation of amplification without inversion is sufficiently high, which hampers essentially the possibility of experimental realization of the FELWI.

Collective Description in FELWI

The description of FELWI in the collective approach, is given The dispersion equations are obtained and discussed for both Raman and Thompson regimes.

Some Aspects of FELWI

A threshold condition for amplification without inversion in a free-electron laser without inversion (FELWI) is determined. This condition is found to be too severe for the effect to be observed in an earlier suggested scheme because a threshold intensity of the field to be amplified appears to be too high. This indicates that alternative schemes have to be found for making the creation of an FELWI realistic.

The Nonlinear Theory of FEL

The nonlinear theory of relyativistic strophotron is developed. Classical equations of motion are averaged over fast oscillations. The slow motion phase and saturation parameter are found different from usual undulator oscillation parameters. In the strong field approximation the analytical expression of gain is found on higher harmonics of main resonance frequency.

Quantum Theory of Amplification in RS

The equations for the amplitudes of transition probabilities are found. The resonance frequency of the system is calculated. It is shown the dependence of the resonance frequency on the initial transverse coordinate of an electron. This dependence is analized.
