The Adapted Morphological Types of 247 Rich PF Galaxy Clusters

Morphological types were determined for 247 rich galaxy clusters from the PF Catalogue of Galaxy Clusters and Groups. The adapted types are based on classical morphological schemes and consider concentration to the cluster center, the signs of preferential direction or plane in the cluster, and the positions of the brightest galaxies. It is shown that both concentration and preferential plane are significant and independent morphological criteria.

The Binggeli effect

We found the alignement of elongated clusters of BM type I and III (the excess of small values of the Δθangles is observed), having range till about 60Mpc/h. The first one is probably connected with the origin of supergiant galaxy, while the second one with environmental effects in clusters, originated on the long filament or plane.

Weak redshift discretisation in the Local Group of Galaxies?

We discuss the distribution of radial velocities of galaxies belonging to the Local Group. Two independent samples of galaxies as well as several methods of reduction from the heliocentric to the galactocentric radial velocities are explored. We applied the power spectrum analysis using the Hann function as a weighting method, together with the jackknife error estimation. We performed a detailed analysis of this approach. The distribution of galaxy redshifts seems to be non-random. An excess of galaxies with radial velocities of $\sim 24 {km} \cdot {s}^{-1}$ and $\sim 36 {km} \cdot {s}^{-1}$ is detected, but the effect is statistically weak. Only one peak for radial velocities of $\sim 24 {km} \cdot {s}^{-1}$ seems to be confirmed at the confidence level of 95%.

Boost-invariant particle production in transport equations

The boost-invariant tunneling of particles along the hyperbolas of constant invariant time, tau^2 = t^2-z^2, is included in the transport equations describing formation of the quark-gluon plasma in strong color fields. The non-trivial solutions of the transport equations exist if the boost-invariant distance between the tunneling particles, measured in the quasirapidity space eta=1/2 ln ((t+z)/(t-z)), is confined to a finite interval Delta eta. For realistic values of Delta eta the solutions of the transport equations show similar characteristics to those found in the standard approach, where the tunneling takes place at constant time t. In the limit Delta eta -> infinity, the initial color fields decay instantaneously.
