General Comodule-Contramodule Correspondence

This paper is a fundamental study of comodules and contramodules over a comonoid in a symmetric closed monoidal category. We study both algebraic and homotopical aspects of them. Algebraically, we enrich the comodule and contramodule categories over the original category, construct enriched functors between them and enriched adjunctions between the functors. Homotopically, for simplicial sets and topological spaces, we investigate the categories of comodules and contramodules and the relations between them.

Basic Hopf algebras and symmetric bimodules

Motivated by the so-called H-cell reduction theorems, we investigate certain classes of bicategories which have only one H-cell apart from possibly the identity. We show that H_0-simple quasi fiab bicategories with unique H-cell H_0 are fusion categories. We further study two classes of non-semisimple quasi-fiab bicategories with a single H-cell apart from the identity. The first is $\cH_A$, indexed by a finite-dimensional radically graded basic Hopf algebra A, and the second is $\cG_A$, consisting of symmetric projective A-A-bimodules. We show that $\cH_A$ can be viewed as a 1-full subbicategory of $\cG_A$ and classify simple transitive birepresentations for $\cG_A$. We point out that the number of equivalence classes of the latter is finite, while that for $\cH_A$ is generally not.

Cocompact Lattices in Locally Pro-$p$-complete Rank 2 Kac-Moody Groups

We initiate an investigation of lattices in a new class of locally compact groups, so called locally pro-$p$-complete Kac-Moody groups. We discover that in rank 2 their cocompact lattices are particularly well-behaved: under mild assumptions, a cocompact lattice in this completion contains no elements of order $p$. This statement is still an open question for the Caprace-Rémy-Ronan completion. Using this, modulo results of Capdeboscq and Thomas, we classify edge-transitive cocompact lattices and describe a cocompact lattice of minimal covolume.

Kac-Moody Groups and Cosheaves on Davis Building

We investigate smooth representations of complete Kac-Moody groups. We approach representation theory via geometry, in particular, the group action on the Davis realisation of its Bruhat-Tits building. Our results include an estimate on projective dimension, localisation theorem, unimodularity and homological duality.

Frobenius Reciprocity for Topological Groups

We investigate the existence of left and right adjoints to the restriction functor in three categories of continuous representations of a topological group: discrete, linear complete and compact.
