Combinatorics of hyperplane arrangements and Witten zeta function at the origin

We introduce a new method that brings the combinatorics of hyperplane arrangements into the study of representation zeta functions of compact Lie groups. For the Witten zeta function $ζ_Φ(s)$ associated with a root system $Φ$, our method yields elegant formulas for $ζ_Φ(0)$ and $ζ_Φ'(0)$ in terms of the exponents of various parabolic subsystems of $Φ$. Such formulas do not appear to be readily accessible through the conventional analytic techniques in the literature. More generally, the method applies to a broad family of conical zeta functions, expressing these two special values through the Möbius function of the intersection poset of the associated hyperplane arrangement.

Mordell-Tornheim multiple zeta-functions, their integral analogues, and relations among multiple polylogarithms

We study the asymptotic behavior of a multiple series of Mordell-Tornheim type and its integral analogue at x=0. Our approach is to show a relation between the multiple series and its integral analogue by using Abel's summation formula, and to deeply investigate the behavior of the integral analogue. Additionally, we establish some nontrivial relations among multiple polylogarithms by comparing two seemingly different asymptotic formulas for the integral analogue.

A functional relation for Tornheim's double zeta functions

In this paper, we generalize the partial fraction decomposition which is fundamental in the theory of multiple zeta values, and prove a relation between Tornheim's double zeta functions of three complex variables. As applications, we give new integral representations of several zeta functions, an extension of the parity result to the whole domain of convergence, concrete expressions of Tornheim's double zeta function at non-positive integers and some results for the behavior of a certain Witten's zeta function at each integer. As an appendix, we show a functional equation for Euler's double zeta function.
