Dreaming in Flow: Generative Grounding Feedback for Self-Evolving Unified Multimodal Models

Unified multimodal models integrate visual understanding and generation within a single network, yet the two capabilities are commonly optimized as separate tasks. We introduce Generative Grounding Feedback(GGF), a self-evolving post-training framework that uses only text prompts and the model's own visual experience. Given a prompt, the model first generates a visual ``dream.'' Flow-level feedback compares text-, image-, and repair-conditioned predictions at the same noisy latent state, transferring image-grounded generation directions to the prompt condition. Dream replay grounding replays this dream through captioning and re-imagination, training claim-level evidence to remain consistent across the replay while separating unrelated visual experiences. Jointly optimized, these two directions let generation provide visual grounding for understanding and understanding refine subsequent generation without paired image--text supervision. Experiments across unified models with different understanding--generation integration designs show consistent improvements in text-to-image generation together with modest gains in visual understanding.

Separating Capability from Confidence: Grounded Dual-State Calibration for GRPO-Trained Medical Vision-Language Models

Medical vision-language models (VLMs) require confidence that reflects both answer correctness and patient-specific visual evidence. Recent GRPO-based methods optimize verbalized confidence together with answer generation. However, this joint optimization may interfere with answer learning and drive confidence toward near-binary values. Verbalized confidence also provides no explicit assessment of visual support. We therefore separate capability learning from confidence estimation and propose \textbf{DualRead}. DualRead builds on the insight that reliability can be read from the actor's internal states at critical moments in the answering process. It freezes the GRPO-trained actor and combines pre-answer solvability with a post-answer assessment of the generated answer and its visual support. To further assess whether confidence reflects visual grounding, we introduce \textbf{Counterfactual Confidence Grounding AUC} (CCG-AUC). It measures whether confidence decreases when real-image substitution changes the actor from correct to incorrect. Across two VLM backbones and both in- and out-of-distribution medical VQA benchmarks, DualRead improves correctness discrimination and calibration over verbalized confidence while preserving answer accuracy. CCG-AUC reveals whether confidence responds to answer-relevant visual evidence rather than primarily to non-visual cues.

Sample-Adaptive Latent Rewards for Uncertainty-Guided Diffusion Post-Training

Latent reward models can supervise visual diffusion models without decoding intermediate states into pixel space. This makes alignment with human preferences more efficient. However, existing latent reward models output only scalar scores. They do not estimate the uncertainty of each prediction. The generator therefore cannot determine which feedback is reliable. This can drive optimization in the wrong direction and lead to reward hacking. We propose \textsc{SURE}, a unified latent-space framework for image and video diffusion models. It learns reward distributions and directly uses their reliability to guide dense post-training. First, we propose sample-adaptive latent reward model (\textsc{SURE-LRM}). It predicts a Gaussian utility for each noisy latent. Its mean predicts the reward score. Its variance reflect the uncertainty of prediction without human annotation. The learned distribution then guides post-training through uncertainty-guided reward feedback learning (\textsc{SURE-REFL}). This method provides uncertainty-guided dense feedback along the denoising trajectory. At selected transitions, \textsc{SURE-REFL} queries the frozen \textsc{SURE-LRM}. It converts detached variance into reliability weights for samples at the same transition. Each weighted reward is backpropagated only through its local transition. The entire process remains in latent space and requires neither pixel-space decoding nor the full denoising graph. Experiments show that \textsc{SURE-LRM} improves preference prediction over strong baselines. \textsc{SURE-REFL} achieves the sota performance among various metrics and further improves optimization stability. It also achieves the highest VBench quality, semantic, and total scores among the evaluated methods.

Full-4D: Generating Full-Scope 4D Scenes from a Single-View Video

Generating 4D scenes from a single-view video is inherently ill-posed: a single viewpoint lacks the information needed to recover a complete, dynamic scene with full coverage. Existing methods are typically limited to monocular videos, simple 3D effects, or only small viewpoint perturbations around the original viewpoint, falling short of true 4D generation. Meanwhile, the lack of large-scale datasets capturing full-scope 4D scenes with synchronized multi-view videos further hinders progress in this direction. We propose a novel single-view video-to-4D framework that casts full-scope 4D generation as a multi-view video synthesis followed by optimization-based 4D reconstruction from the generated views. To instantiate this formulation end-to-end, we make three key contributions. First, we introduce Real-MV-4D, a large-scale dataset of synchronized multi-view videos captured in diverse real-world environments to provide the 4D supervision. Second, we train a multi-view video diffusion model driven by a novel fused time(T)-view(V) attention mechanism that directly embeds geometric reprojection priors and explicit camera conditioning into its view-time interactions. Unlike basic feature fusion, this direct binding strictly aligns the generation process with physical 3D priors to produce a dense, synchronized T$\times $V video grid. Third, rather than relying on non-interactive and inconsistent 2D video interpolations, we lift the synthesized multi-view videos into an explicit 4D representation (i.e. 4DGS), regularized by a Flow Matching Distillation loss that exploits the multi-view prior to improve novel-view rendering. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method outperforms existing approaches in both visual fidelity and geometric consistency, enabling full-scope 4D scene generation from single-view videos.

Learning to Credit the Right Steps: Objective-aware Process Optimization for Visual Generation

Reinforcement learning, particularly Group Relative Policy Optimization (GRPO), has emerged as an effective framework for post-training visual generative models with human preference signals. However, its effectiveness is fundamentally limited by coarse reward credit assignment. In modern visual generation, multiple reward models are often used to capture heterogeneous objectives, such as visual quality, motion consistency, and text alignment. Existing GRPO pipelines typically collapse these rewards into a single static scalar and propagate it uniformly across the entire diffusion trajectory. This design ignores the stage-specific roles of different denoising steps and produces mistimed or incompatible optimization signals. To address this issue, we propose Objective-aware Trajectory Credit Assignment (OTCA), a structured framework for fine-grained GRPO training. OTCA consists of two key components. Trajectory-Level Credit Decomposition estimates the relative importance of different denoising steps. Multi-Objective Credit Allocation adaptively weights and combines multiple reward signals throughout the denoising process. By jointly modeling temporal credit and objective-level credit, OTCA converts coarse reward supervision into a structured, timestep-aware training signal that better matches the iterative nature of diffusion-based generation. Extensive experiments show that OTCA consistently improves both image and video generation quality across evaluation metrics.

TeleBoost: A Systematic Alignment Framework for High-Fidelity, Controllable, and Robust Video Generation

Post-training is the decisive step for converting a pretrained video generator into a production-oriented model that is instruction-following, controllable, and robust over long temporal horizons. This report presents a systematical post-training framework that organizes supervised policy shaping, reward-driven reinforcement learning, and preference-based refinement into a single stability-constrained optimization stack. The framework is designed around practical video-generation constraints, including high rollout cost, temporally compounding failure modes, and feedback that is heterogeneous, uncertain, and often weakly discriminative. By treating optimization as a staged, diagnostic-driven process rather than a collection of isolated tricks, the report summarizes a cohesive recipe for improving perceptual fidelity, temporal coherence, and prompt adherence while preserving the controllability established at initialization. The resulting framework provides a clear blueprint for building scalable post-training pipelines that remain stable, extensible, and effective in real-world deployment settings.

Integrating Reinforcement Learning with Visual Generative Models: Foundations and Advances

Generative models have made significant progress in synthesizing visual content, including images, videos, and 3D/4D structures. However, they are typically trained with surrogate objectives such as likelihood or reconstruction loss, which often misalign with perceptual quality, semantic accuracy, or physical realism. Reinforcement learning (RL) offers a principled framework for optimizing non-differentiable, preference-driven, and temporally structured objectives. Recent advances demonstrate its effectiveness in enhancing controllability, consistency, and human alignment across generative tasks. This survey provides a systematic overview of RL-based methods for visual content generation. We review the evolution of RL from classical control to its role as a general-purpose optimization tool, and examine its integration into image, video, and 3D/4D generation. Across these domains, RL serves not only as a fine-tuning mechanism but also as a structural component for aligning generation with complex, high-level goals. We conclude with open challenges and future research directions at the intersection of RL and generative modeling.

Dataset Condensation for Time Series Classification via Dual Domain Matching

Time series data has been demonstrated to be crucial in various research fields. The management of large quantities of time series data presents challenges in terms of deep learning tasks, particularly for training a deep neural network. Recently, a technique named \textit{Dataset Condensation} has emerged as a solution to this problem. This technique generates a smaller synthetic dataset that has comparable performance to the full real dataset in downstream tasks such as classification. However, previous methods are primarily designed for image and graph datasets, and directly adapting them to the time series dataset leads to suboptimal performance due to their inability to effectively leverage the rich information inherent in time series data, particularly in the frequency domain. In this paper, we propose a novel framework named Dataset \textit{\textbf{Cond}}ensation for \textit{\textbf{T}}ime \textit{\textbf{S}}eries \textit{\textbf{C}}lassification via Dual Domain Matching (\textbf{CondTSC}) which focuses on the time series classification dataset condensation task. Different from previous methods, our proposed framework aims to generate a condensed dataset that matches the surrogate objectives in both the time and frequency domains. Specifically, CondTSC incorporates multi-view data augmentation, dual domain training, and dual surrogate objectives to enhance the dataset condensation process in the time and frequency domains. Through extensive experiments, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed framework, which outperforms other baselines and learns a condensed synthetic dataset that exhibits desirable characteristics such as conforming to the distribution of the original data.
