The Inverted Dirac-Moshinsky Oscillator in $(1+1)$ Dimensions

We derive and analyze the exact solutions of the inverted Dirac-Moshinsky oscillator (IDMO) in $(1+1)$ dimensions, obtained from the standard model via the substitution $p \to p + imωβx$. The upper spinor component satisfies a Weber equation with complex spectral parameter $λ= (E^2-m^2)/(2mω)+i/2$, whose solutions are parabolic cylinder functions $D_ν(ξ)$ with complex order $ν= λ- 1/2$. The physical spectrum is purely continuous ($|E|>m$), with no discrete bound states. Three normalization schemes are developed, and the discrete Gamow resonances at $E_n^\pm = \pm\sqrt{m^2+(2n+1)mω-imω}$ are identified as poles of the resolvent. The negative-energy sector describes antiparticle anti-resonances whose positive imaginary part signals vacuum instability and spontaneous pair production, analogous to the Schwinger effect. The algebraic structure is governed by the principal series of $SU(1,1)$, and the Hamiltonian is $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric with unbroken symmetry for $|E|>m$.

Quantum and Thermal Properties of the Klein-Gordon Inverted Harmonic Oscillator with Physical Applications

We develop a systematic framework for the quantum and thermal properties of a Klein-Gordon scalar field subject to an inverted harmonic potential $-{1\over2} m^2ω^2 x^2$. Starting from a non-Hermitian momentum substitution $P \to P - mωx$, we employ a symplectic phase-space rotation $V = \exp\!\left[-\tfracπ{8}(xp+px)\right]$ to map the system onto an analytically tractable effective harmonic oscillator evaluated at $xe^{iπ/4}$. This allows us to define a well-regulated partition function $Z(β,ω,m)$ and derive closed-form expressions for the free energy, entropy, and thermal correlation functions. We then apply this framework to three physical settings: (i) scalar field fluctuations during cosmological inflation, (ii) quantum fields near black-hole horizons, and (iii) order-parameter dynamics near second-order phase transitions in condensed matter. Our results unify previously scattered results in the literature and provide new predictions for the finite-temperature spectral density and entanglement entropy of unstable quantum systems.

Completeness of the Klein-Gordon oscillator eigenfunctions via Hermite and Laguerre polynomials

Completeness of the Klein--Gordon oscillator eigenfunctions is proved in one and three spatial dimensions. The proofs establish the closure relations satisfied by the eigenfunctions and are based on standard properties of the Hermite and the generalized Laguerre polynomials, supplemented in three dimensions by the completeness of the spherical harmonics. The scalar nature of the Klein--Gordon field renders the argument strictly simpler than the analogous proof for the Dirac oscillator: no off-diagonal cancellation is required.

Emergent Quantum Droplets in Logarithmic Klein-Gordon Models of Bose-Einstein Condensates

We study a relativistic scalar field model for self-bound Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) by analyzing a nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation with cubic and logarithmic interactions. This framework captures essential features of quantum droplets, such as self-trapping and finite energy configurations, which emerge from the interplay between attractive and repulsive terms. By performing the non-relativistic limit, we derive a generalized Gross-Pitaevskii equation with a logarithmic correction, consistent with recent models used to describe ultra-cold atomic gasses beyond mean-field theory. We construct the corresponding Lagrangian density, identify conserved quantities via Noether's theorem, and compute the energy-momentum tensor. Numerical solutions of the BEC parameters are shown, establishing the foundations for a field theoretical description of relativistic condensates with a logarithmic interaction. This model provides a unified approach to investigate relativistic effects in quantum droplets and enriches the theoretical landscape of Bose-Einstein condensates with non-standard interactions. The resulting dynamics exhibit stable oscillatory regimes consistent with self-bound condensate configurations.

Rotating Quantum Droplets in Low Dimensions

Quantum droplets formed by rubidium, lithium, and sodium atoms have been analyzed in this paper by using a logarithmic-type Gross-Pitaevskii equation. Variational methods and numerical techniques were employed to solve the corresponding nonlinear equations. A disk-shaped Bose-Einstein condensate was analyzed to assess its radial evolution. Additionally, free expansion under rotation of the BEC was studied. Compression and expansion around the equilibrium radius were observed in different scenarios, predicting self-confinement, which implies the formation of quantum droplets originating from a BEC state. Briefly, the physical aspects of the system and the possible formation of Bose-nova effects are discussed.
