BiTrajDiff: Bidirectional Trajectory Generation with Diffusion Models for Offline Reinforcement Learning

Recent advances in offline Reinforcement Learning (RL) have proven that effective policy learning can benefit from imposing conservative constraints on pre-collected datasets. However, such static datasets often exhibit distribution bias, resulting in limited generalizability. To address this limitation, a straightforward solution is data augmentation (DA), which leverages generative models to enrich data distribution. Despite the promising results, current DA techniques focus solely on reconstructing future trajectories from given states, while ignoring the exploration of history transitions that reach them. This single-direction paradigm inevitably hinders the discovery of diverse behavior patterns, especially those leading to critical states that may have yielded high-reward outcomes. In this work, we introduce Bidirectional Trajectory Diffusion (BiTrajDiff), a novel DA framework for offline RL that models both future and history trajectories from any intermediate states. Specifically, we decompose the trajectory generation task into two independent yet complementary diffusion processes: one generating forward trajectories to predict future dynamics, and the other generating backward trajectories to trace essential history transitions.BiTrajDiff can efficiently leverage critical states as anchors to expand into potentially valuable yet underexplored regions of the state space, thereby facilitating dataset diversity. Extensive experiments on the D4RL benchmark suite demonstrate that BiTrajDiff achieves superior performance compared to other advanced DA methods across various offline RL backbones.

Calculation of Special Spin Behavior of Dy3+ in DyFe1-xCrxO3 System by Molecular Field Model

In this study, the sol-gel method synthesized the magnetic measurement and analysis of single-phase polycrystalline perovskite DyFe1-xCrxO3 (DFCO). The experimental data were fitted and calculated by a four-sublattice molecular field model. Unlike previous studies, we found that in DyFe1-xCrxO3, the spin of the A-site rare earth ion Dy3+ also changed simultaneously with the spin reorientation of the Fe3+/Cr3+ ions. The effective spin is defined as the projection of the A site's total spin on the B site's spin plane, and the curve of temperature changes is obtained after fitting. With this theory, a very accurate thermomagnetic curve is obtained by fitting. This is convincing and, at the same time, provides a reference for the development of spintronic devices in the future.

Ultra strong and ductile eutectic high entropy alloy fabricated by selective laser melting

With important application prospects, eutectic high entropy alloys have received extensive attention for their excellent strength and ductility in a large temperature range. The excellent casting characteristics of eutectic high entropy alloys make it possible to achieve well manufacturability of selective laser melting. For the first time, we have achieved crack-free eutectic high entropy alloy fabricated by selective laser melting, which has excellent mechanical properties in a wide temperature range of -196 degrees Celsius~760 degrees Celsius due to ultra-fine eutectic lamellar spacing of 150 ~ 200nm and lamellar colony of 2 ~ 6 μm. Specifically, the room temperature tensile strength exceeds 1400MPa and the elongation is more than 20%, significantly improved compared with those manufactured by other techniques with lower cooling rate.
