Chameleon mechanism with a new potential

Chameleon scalar field is a new model, which introduced to provide a mechanism for exhibiting accelerating universe. Chameleon field has several interesting aspects, such as field dependence on the local matter density. For this model we introduce a new kind of potential which has run away form and satisfies chameleon constraints. The results are acceptable in comparison with the other potentials which studied up to now.

Quark-hadron phase transition in a chameleon Brans-Dicke model of brane gravity

In this work, the quark-hadron phase transition in a chameleon Brans-Dicke model of brane world cosmology within an effective model of QCD is investigated. Whereas, in the chameleon Brans-Dicke model of brane world cosmology, the Friedmann equation and conservation of density energy are modified, resulting in an increased expansion in the early Universe. These have important effects on quark-hadron phase transitions. We investigate the evolution of the physical quantities relevant to quantitative descriptions of the early times, namely, the energy density, $ρ$, temperature, $T$, and the scale factor, $a$, before, during, and after the phase transition. We do this for smooth crossover formalism in which lattice QCD data is used for obtaining the matter equation of state and first order phase transition formalism. Our analyses show that the quark-hadron phase transition has occurred at approximately one nanosecond after the big bang and the general behavior of temperature is similar in both of two approaches.

Effect of an external interaction mechanism in solving agegraphic dark energy problems

Agegraphic dark energy(ADE) and New-ADE models have been introduced as two candidates for dark energy to explain the accelerated expansion phase of the Universe. In spite of a few suitable features of these models some studies have shown that there are several drawbacks in them. Therefore in this investigation a new version of ADE and New-ADE are studied which can improve such drawbacks which appear in the ordinary ADE and New-ADE scenario. In fact we consider an interacting model of scalar field with matter and after re-deriving some cosmological parameters of the model, we find out the best fit for the model. Actually by finding the best fitting for free parameters of the model, we show that our theoretical results are in a good agreement with observational data.

Ghost dark energy in $f(R)$ model of gravity

We study a correspondence between $f(R)$ model of gravity and a phenomenological kind of dark energy (DE), which is known as QCD ghost dark energy. Since this kind of dark energy is not stable in the context of Einsteinian theory of gravity and Brans-Dicke model of gravity, we consider two kinds of correspondence between modified gravity and DE. By studding the dynamical evolution of model and finding relevant quantities such as, equation of state parameter, deceleration parameter, dimensionless density parameter, we show that the model can describe the present Universe and also the EoS parameter can cross the phantom divide line without needs to any kinetic energy with negative sign. Furthermore, by obtaining the adiabatic squared sound speed of the model for different cases of interaction, we show that this model is stable. Finally, we fit this model with supernova observational data in a non interaction case and we find the best values of parameter at $1σ$ confidence interval as; $f_0=0.958^{+0.07}_{-0.25}$, $β=-0,256^{+0.2}_{-0.1}$, and $\Om_{m_0} = 0.23^{+0.3}_{-0.15}$. These best-fit values show that dark energy equation of state parameter, $\om_{d_0}$, can cross the phantom divide line at the present time.

Modified gravity in a viscous and non-isotropic background

We study the dynamical evolution of an $f(R)$ model of gravity in a viscous and anisotropic background which is given by a Bianchi type-I model of the Universe. We find viable forms of $f(R)$ gravity in which one is exactly the Einsteinian model of gravity with a cosmological constant and other two are power law $f(R)$ models. We show that these two power law models are stable with a suitable choice of parameters. We also examine three potentials which exhibit the potential effect of $f(R)$ models in the context of scalar tensor theory. By solving different aspects of the model and finding the physical quantities in the Jordan frame, we show that the equation of state parameter satisfy the dominant energy condition. At last we show that the two power law $f(R)$ models behave like quintessence model at late times and also the shear coefficient viscosity tends to zero at late times.

Interacting New Agegraphic Dark Energy in a Cyclic Universe

The main goal of this work is investigation of NADE in the cyclic universe scenario. Since, cyclic universe is explained by a phantom phase ($ω<-1$), it is shown when there is no interaction between matter and dark energy, ADE and NADE do not produce a phantom phase, then can not describe cyclic universe. Therefore, we study interacting models of ADE and NADE in the modified Friedmann equation. We find out that, in the high energy regime, which it is a necessary part of cyclic universe evolution, only NADE can describe this phantom phase era for cyclic universe. Considering deceleration parameter tells us that the universe has a deceleration phase after an acceleration phase, and NADE is able to produce a cyclic universe. Also it is found valuable to study generalized second law of thermodynamics. Since the loop quantum correction is taken account in high energy regime, it may not be suitable to use standard treatment of thermodynamics, so we turn our attention to the result of \citep{29}, which the authors have studied thermodynamics in loop quantum gravity, and we show that which condition can satisfy generalized second law of thermodynamics.

Reconstructing f(R) model from Holographic DE: Using the observational evidence

We investigate the corresponding relation between $f(R)$ gravity and an interacting holographic dark energy. By obtaining conditions needed for some observational evidence such as, positive acceleration expansion of universe, crossing the phantom divide line and validity of thermodynamics second law in an interacting HDE model and corresponding it with $f(R)$ mode of gravity we find a viable $f(R)$ model which can explain the present universe. We also obtain the explicit evolutionary forms of the corresponding scalar field, potential and scale factor of universe.

Strong and weak gravitational field in $R+μ^4/R$ gravity

We introduce a new approach for investigating the weak field limit of vacuum field equations in $f(R)$ gravity and we find the weak field limit of $f(R)=R+μ^4/R$ gravity. Furthermore, we study the strong gravity regime in $R+μ^{4}/R$ model of $f(R)$ gravity. We show the existence of strong gravitational field in vacuum for such model. We find out in the limit $μ\rightarrow 0$, the weak field limit and the strong gravitational field can be regarded as a perturbed Schwarzschild metric.

Revised spherically symmetric solutions of $R+\varepsilon/R$ gravity

We study spherically symmetric static empty space solutions in $R+\varepsilon/R$ model of $f(R)$ gravity. We show that the Schwarzschild metric is an exact solution of the resulted field equations and consequently there are general solutions which {are perturbed Schwarzschild metric and viable for solar system. Our results for large scale contains a logarithmic term with a coefficient producing a repulsive gravity force which is in agreement with the positive acceleration of the universe.

Equivalence Principle (EP) and Solar System Constraints on $R(1\pm ε\ln({R \over R_c}))$ model of Gravity

Experiments on the violation of equivalence principle (EP) and solar system give a number of constraints in which any modified gravity model must satisfy them. We study these constraints on a kind of $f(R)$ gravity as $f(R) = R(1\pm ε\ln({R \over R_c}))$. For this investigation we use of chameleon mechanism and show that a spherically body has thin-shell in this model. So that we obtain an effective coupling of the fifth force which is suppressed through a chameleon mechanism. Also, we obtain $γ_{PPN} = 1 \pm 1.13 \times10^{-5}$ which is agreement with experiment results. At last, we show that for $R_c \thickapprox ρ_c$ this model is consistent with EP, thin shell condition and fifth force of chameleon mechanism for $ε\backsimeq 10^{-14}$.

We study the holographic dark energy on the subject of Ho$\check{r}$ava-Lifshitz gravity with a time dependent gravitational constant (G(t)), in the non-flat space-time. We obtain the differential equation that specify the evolution of the dark energy density parameter based on varying gravitational constant. we find out a relation for the state parameter of the dark energy equation to low redshifts which containing varying $G$ correction.

Gravitational Baryogenesis in Anisotropic Universe

The interaction between Ricci scalar curvature and the baryon number current, dynamically breaks CPT in an expanding universe and leads to baryon asymmetry. Using this kind of interaction and study the gravitational baryogenesis in the Bianchi type I universe. We find out the effect of anisotropy of the universe on the baryon asymmetry for the case which the equation of state parameter, $ω$, is dependent to time.

Bouncing cosmology without anisotropy

Using non-linear equation of state for pressure and density energy, we show that the universe is began with a smooth and isotropic bounce. We use a non-linear equation of state which is a binary mixture of perfect fluid and dark energy. We show that in order to preserve a smooth and isotropic bounce, the source for contraction before the bounce, must have an equation of state with $ω>1$ (Ekpyrotic matter) and a dark energy with positive pressure.

On the Anisotropic Big Bang Cosmology With A General Non-Linear EoS

We study the anisotropic Big Bang cosmology for a general non-linear equation of state (EoS) in standard general relativity cosmology in early times. According to brane world cosmology and loop quantum gravity which introduce a quadratic term in the energy density, we study a non-linear EoS with a general nonlinear term in the energy density. We show that this general non-linear term isotropize the universe at early times. And also, we find out this model has a phantom like behavior for special case.

Brane Cosmology for Vacuum and Cosmological Constant Bulk

We consider the cosmology of a 3-brane universe, in a five dimensional space time (Bulk). We present some solutions to the five-dimensional Einstein equation, where a perfect fluid is confined to the 3-brane. We investigate the evolution of brane for two models of bulk. We choose ordinary and modified polytropic gas in brane and it is seen that these models have some new features.

Brane Cosmology With Generalized Chaplygin Gas in The Bulk

We find exact solution of the Einstein equations in the context of the brane world scenario. We have supposed a {generalized chaplygin gas} equation of state for bulk. This study display a constant energy density and pressure for bulk in late time. It is shown that our assumptions impose a specific equation of state on brane. {In this work, we have obtained a decelerate universe in early time and late time.} In the end, it is shown that under some assumption we have equation of state of cosmological constant for bulk.

Static Spherically Symmetric Solution of (R +- μ^4/R) Gravity

The static spherically symmetric solution for (R +- μ^4/R) model of f(R)gravity is investigated. We obtain the metric for space-time in the solar system that reduces to the Schwarzschild metric, when μ tends to zero. For the obtained metric, the deviation from Einstein gravity is very small. This result is different from the other results have been obtained by equivalence between f(R) gravity and scalar tensor theory. Also it is shown that the vacuum solution in the solar system depends on the shape of matter distribution which differ from the Einstein's gravity.
