Izergin-Korepin analysis on the wavefunctions of the $U_q(sl_2)$ six-vertex model with reflecting end

We extend the recently developed Izergin-Korepin analysis on the wavefunctions of the $U_q(sl_2)$ six-vertex model to the reflecting boundary conditions. Based on the Izergin-Korepin analysis, we determine the exact forms of the symmetric functions which represent the wavefunctions and its dual. Comparison of the symmetric functions with the coordinate Bethe ansatz wavefunctions for the open XXZ chain by Alcaraz-Barber-Batchelor-Baxter-Quispel is also made. As an application, we derive algebraic identities for the symmetric functions by combining the results with the determinant formula of the domain wall boundary partition function of the six-vertex model with reflecting end.

Elliptic free-fermion model with OS boundary and elliptic Pfaffians

We introduce and study a class of partition functions of an elliptic free-fermionic face model. We study the partition functions with a triangular boundary using the off-diagonal $K$-matrix at the boundary (OS boundary), which was introduced by Kuperberg as a class of variants of the domain wall boundary partition functions. We find explicit forms of the partition functions with OS boundary using elliptic Pfaffians. We find two expressions based on two versions of Korepin's method, and we obtain an identity between two elliptic Pfaffians as a corollary.

Scalar products of the elliptic Felderhof model and elliptic Cauchy formula

We analyze the scalar products of the elliptic Felderhof model introduced by Foda-Wheeler-Zuparic as an elliptic extension of the trigonometric face-type Felderhof model by Deguchi-Akutsu. We derive the determinant formula for the scalar products by applying the Izergin-Korepin technique developed by Wheeler to investigate the scalar products of integrable lattice models. By combining the determinant formula for the scalar products with the recently-developed Izergin-Korepin technique to analyze the wavefunctions, we derive a Cauchy formula for elliptic Schur functions.

Elliptic supersymmetric integrable model and multivariable elliptic functions

We investigate the elliptic integrable model introduced by Deguchi and Martin, which is an elliptic extension of the Perk-Schultz model. We introduce and study a class of partition functions of the elliptic model by using the Izergin-Korepin analysis. We show that the partition functions are expressed as a product of elliptic factors and elliptic Schur-type symmetric functions. This result resembles the recent works by number theorists in which the correspondence between the partition functions of trigonometric models and the product of the deformed Vandermonde determinant and Schur functions were established.

Combinatorial properties of symmetric polynomials from integrable vertex models in finite lattice

We introduce and study several combinatorial properties of a class of symmetric polynomials from the point of view of integrable vertex models in finite lattice. We introduce the $L$-operator related with the $U_q(sl_2)$ $R$-matrix, and construct the wavefunctions and their duals. We prove the exact correspondence between the wavefunctions and symmetric polynomials which is a quantum group deformation of the Grothendieck polynomials. This is proved by combining the matrix product method and an analysis on the domain wall boundary partition functions. As applications of the correspondence between the wavefunctions and symmetric polynomials, we derive several properties of the symmetric polynomials such as the determinant pairing formulas and the branching formulas by analyzing the domain wall boundary partition functions and the matrix elements of the $B$-operators.

Izergin-Korepin analysis on the projected wavefunctions of the generalized free-fermion model

We apply the Izergin-Korepin analysis to the study of the projected wavefunctions of the generalized free-fermion model. We introduce a generalization of the $L$-operator of the six-vertex model by Bump-Brubaker-Friedberg and Bump-McNamara-Nakasuji. We make the Izergin-Korepin analysis to characterize the projected wavefunctions and show that they can be expressed as a product of factors and certain symmetric functions which generalizes the factorial Schur functions. This result can be seen as a generalization of the Tokuyama formula for the factorial Schur functions.

Domain wall boundary partition function of the six-vertex model with triangular boundary

We introduce and study the domain wall boundary partition function of the integrable six-vertex model with triangular boundary. We first formulate the domain wall boundary partition function with triangular boundary by using the $U_q(sl_2)$ $R$-matrix and a special class of the triangular $K$-matrix. By using its graphical representation, we make the Izergin-Korepin analysis with the help of the Yang-Baxter relation and the reflection equation to give a characterization of the partition function. The explict form of the symmetric function representing the partition function is presented by showing that it satisfies all the required properties.

Symmetric functions and wavefunctions of the six-vertex model by Izergin-Korepin analysis

We analyze wavefunctions of the six-vertex model by extending the Izergin-Korepin analysis on the domain wall boundary partition functions. We particularly focus on the case with triangular boundary. By using the $U_q(sl_2)$ $R$-matrix and a special class of the triangular $K$-matrix, we first introduce an analogue of the wavefunctions of the integrable six-vertex model with triangular boundary. We first give a characterization of the wavefunctions by extending our recent work of the Izergin-Korepin analysis of the domain wall boundary partition function with triangular boundary, and then determine the explicit form of the symmetric functions representing the wavefunctions by showing that it satisfies all the required properties. We also illustrate the Izergin-Korepin analysis for the case of ordinary wavefunctions as it is the basic case.

Dual wavefunction of the symplectic ice

The wavefunction of the free-fermion six-vertex model was found to give a natural realization of the Tokuyama combinatorial formula for the Schur polynomials by Bump-Brubaker-Friedberg. Recently, we studied the correspondence between the dual version of the wavefunction and the Schur polynomials, which gave rise to another combinatorial formula. In this paper, we extend the analysis to the reflecting boundary condition, and show the exact correspondence between the dual wavefunction and the symplectic Schur functions. This gives a dual version of the integrable model realization of the symplectic Schur functions by Ivanov. We also generalize to the correspondence between the wavefunction, the dual wavefunction of the six-vertex model and the factorial symplectic Schur functions by the inhomogeneous generalization of the model.

Dual wavefunction of the Felderhof model

We study the Felderhof free-fermion six-vertex model, whose wavefunction recently turned out to possess rich combinatorial structure of the Schur polynomials. We investigate the dual version of the wavefunction in this paper, which seems to be a harder object to analyze. We evaluate the dual wavefunction in two ways. First, we give the exact correspondence between the dual wavefunction and the Schur polynomials, for which two proofs are given. Next, we make a microscopic analysis and express the dual wavefunction in terms of strict Gelfand-Tsetlin pattern. As a consequence of these two ways of evaluation of the dual wavefunction, we obtain a dual version of the Tokuyama combinatorial formula for the Schur polynomials. We also give a generalization of the correspondence between the dual wavefunction of the Felderhof model and the factorial Schur polynomials.

Partition functions of integrable lattice models and combinatorics of symmetric polynomials

We review and present new studies on the relation between the partition functions of integrable lattice models and symmetric polynomials, and its combinatorial representation theory based on the correspondence, including our work. In particular, we examine the correspondence between the wavefunctions of the XXZ type, Felderhof type and the boson type integrable models and symmetric polynomials such as the Schur, Grothendieck and symplectic Schur functions. We also give a brief report of our work on generalizing the correspondence between the Felderhof models and factorial Schur and symplectic Schur functions.

Quantum integrable combinatorics of Schur polynomials

We examine and present new combinatorics for the Schur polynomials from the viewpoint of quantum integrability. We introduce and analyze an integrable six-vertex model which can be viewed as a certain degeneration model from a t-deformed boson model. By a detailed analysis of the wavefunction from the quantum inverse scattering method, we present a novel combinatorial formula which expresses the Schur polynomials by using an additional parameter, which is in the same sense but different from the Tokuyama formula. We also give an algebraic analytic proof for the Cauchy identity and make applications of the domain wall boundary partition functions to the enumeration of alternating sign matrices.

Nonstandard representations of type C affine Hecke algebra from K-operators

We construct nonstandard finite-dimensional representations of type C affine Hecke algebra from the viewpoint of quantum integrable models. There exists two classes of nonstandard solutions to the Yang-Baxter equation called the Cremmer-Gervais and Jordanian R-matrices. These R-matrices also satisfy the Hecke-relation, thus can be used to construct nonstandard finite-dimensional representations of type A affine Hecke algebra. We construct the corresponding nonstandard representations for type C affine Hecke algebra by explicitly constructing solutions to the reflection equation under the Hecke relation. We achieve this by taking the finite-dimensional representations and deBaxterizing the K-operators acting on the infinite-dimensional function space, taking advantage of the fact that the Cremmer-Gervais and Jordanian R-matrices can be obtained from the R-operator.

K-theoretic boson-fermion correspondence and melting crystals

We study non-Hermitian integrable fermion and boson systems from the perspectives of Grothendieck polynomials. The models considered in this article are the five-vertex model as a fermion system and the non-Hermitian phase model as a boson system. Both of the models are characterized by the different solutions satisfying the same Yang-Baxter relation. From our previous works on the identification between the wavefunctions of the five-vertex model and Grothendieck polynomials, we introduce skew Grothendieck polynomials, and derive the addition theorem among them. Using these relations, we derive the wavefunctions of the non-Hermitian phase model as a determinant form which can also be expressed as the Grothendieck polynomials. Namely, we establish a K-theoretic boson-fermion correspondence at the level of wavefunctions. As a by-product, the partition function of the statistical mechanical model of a 3D melting crystal is exactly calculated by use of the scalar products of the wavefunctions of the phase model. The resultant expression can be regarded as a K-theoretic generalization of the MacMahon function describing the generating function of the plane partitions, which interpolates the generating functions of two-dimensional and three-dimensional Young diagrams.

Vertex models, TASEP and Grothendieck polynomials

We examine the wavefunctions and their scalar products of a one-parameter family of integrable five vertex models. At a special point of the parameter, the model investigated is related to an irreversible interacting stochastic particle system the so-called totally asymmetric simple exclusion process (TASEP). By combining the quantum inverse scattering method with a matrix product representation of the wavefunctions, the on/off-shell wavefunctions of the five vertex models are represented as a certain determinant form. Up to some normalization factors, we find the wavefunctions are given by Grothendieck polynomials, which are a one-parameter deformation of Schur polynomials. Introducing a dual version of the Grothendieck polynomials, and utilizing the determinant representation for the scalar products of the wavefunctions, we derive a generalized Cauchy identity satisfied by the Grothendieck polynomials and their duals. Several representation theoretical formulae for Grothendieck polynomials are also presented. As a byproduct, the relaxation dynamics such as Green functions for the periodic TASEP are found to be described in terms of Grothendieck polynomials.

On Baxter's Q operator of the higher spin XXZ chain at the Razumov-Stroganov point

Based on the conjecture for the exact eigenvalue of the transfer matrix of the higher half-integer spin XXZ chain at the Razumov-Stroganov point, we evaluate the corresponding Baxter's Q operator in closed form by solving the TQ equation. The combination of the Q operators on the "right side" and the "wrong side" is shown to produce the hierarchy of functional relations.

Absence of finite size correction at the combinatorial point of the integrable higher spin XXZ chain

We investigate the integrable higher spin XXZ chain at the Razumov-Stroganov point. We present a method to evaluate the exact value of the eigenvalue which is conjectured to correspond to the groundstate of the Hamiltonian for finite size chain from the Baxter Q operator. This allows us to examine the exact total energy difference between different number of total sites, from which we find strong evidence for the absence of finite size correction to the groundstate energy.

Entanglement Properties of a Higher-Integer-Spin AKLT Model with Quantum Group Symmetry

We study the entanglement properties of a higher-integer-spin Affleck-Kennedy-Lieb-Tasaki model with quantum group symmetry in the periodic boundary condition. We exactly calculate the finite size correction terms of the entanglement entropies from the double scaling limit. We also evaluate the geometric entanglement, which serves as another measure for entanglement. We find the geometric entanglement reaches its maximum at the isotropic point, and decreases with the increase of the anisotropy. This behavior is similar to that of the entanglement entropies.
