Chiral algebra correlators of the $6$d, $\mathcal{N}=(2,0)$ theory with a defect

We revisit the computation of $2$-point correlation functions of $\tfrac{1}{2}$-BPS operators in the $6$d, $\mathcal{N}=(2,0)$ theory in the presence of a surface defect. We focus on the protected sector described by the chiral algebra and reproduce its correlators using a bootstrap approach. A unique feature of this calculation is that we can completely determine the answer by using bulk-channel data only. We, also, perform the operator expansion in the defect channel which provide new predictions for the theory.

Evidence for a $4$-dimensional $\mathcal{N}=1$ integrable quiver in massive type IIA

We are examining a newly discovered parametric family of backgrounds in massive type IIA supergravity that contains a warped $\text{AdS}_5$ factor. This family is the dual gravity description of $4$-dimensional quivers with $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetry. We are interested in the status of classical integrability in these theories and we show that there exists a single choice of solutions that is special, while all other choices lead to non-integrable quivers and chaotic string motion. By focusing on this special choice we provide strong suggestive evidence for the integrability of the dual field theory based on analytic studies and extensive numerical analysis.

On the positivity of the hypergeometric Veneziano amplitude

Recently, an infinite family of one-parameter generalisations of the Veneziano amplitude were bootstrapped using as input assumptions an integer mass spectrum, crossing symmetry, high-energy boundedness, and exchange of finite spins. This new result was dubbed the hypergeometric Veneziano amplitude, with a real-valued deformation parameter r. For concreteness we work in a setup where the lowest-mass state is a tachyon of mass $m^2_0=-1$ and using the partial-wave decomposition and the positivity of said decomposition's coefficients we are able to bound the deformation parameter to $r \geq 0$ and, also, to obtain an upper bound on the number of spacetime dimensions $D \leq 26$, which is the critical dimension of bosonic string theory.

Coon unitarity via partial waves or: how I learned to stop worrying and love the harmonic numbers

We present a novel approach to partial-wave unitarity that bypasses a lot of technical difficulties of previous approaches. In passing, we explicitly demonstrate that our approach provides a very suggestive form for the partial-wave coefficients in a natural way. We use the Coon amplitudes to exemplify this method and show how it allows to make important properties such as partial-wave unitarity manifest.

Spin-$2$ operators in AdS$_2$/CFT$_1$

We study spin-2 fluctuations around an infinite family of warped backgrounds of the form $\text{AdS}_2 \times \text{S}^2 \times \text{T}^4 \times \text{S}^1 \times \mathcal{I}_ρ$ in the type IIB theory, which possesses $\mathcal{N}=4$ supersymmetry. We find that there exists a special set of solutions which is independent of the background data; the minimal universal class. This particular class of solutions corresponds to operators with scaling dimension $Δ= \ell + 1$, with $\ell$ being the quantum number of the angular-momentum on the $\text{S}^2$. Using the mode solutions of these spin-2 states, we compute the central charge of the dual field theories. We comment on the relation of our results to the seed $\text{AdS}_3 \times \text{S}^2 \times \text{T}^4 \times \mathcal{I}_ρ$ backgrounds.

Yangian Symmetry in Holographic Correlators

We point out that an infinite class of Witten diagrams is invariant under a Yangian symmetry. These diagrams are building blocks of holographic correlators and are related by a web of differential recursion relations. We show that Yangian invariance is equivalent to the consistency conditions of the recursion relations.
