Functors induced by Cauchy extension of C*-algebras

In this paper we give three functors $\mathfrak{P}$, $[\cdot]_K$ and $\mathfrak{F}$ on the category of C$^\ast$-algebras. The functor $\mathfrak{P}$ assigns to each C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathcal{A}$ a pre-C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathfrak{P}(\mathcal{A})$ with completion $[\mathcal{A}]_K$. The functor $[\cdot]_K$ assigns to each C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathcal{A}$ the Cauchy extension $[\mathcal{A}]_K$ of $\mathcal{A}$ by a non-unital C$^\ast$-algebra $\mathfrak{F}(\mathcal{A})$. Some properties of these functors are also given. In particular, we show that the functors $[\cdot]_K$ and $\mathfrak{F}$ are exact and the functor $\mathfrak{P}$ is normal exact.

The role of regularity to reach the vector valued version of Caristi's fixed point theorem

In this paper we discuss on the vector valued version of Caristi's theorem. We show that the regularity of the cone is an essential condition to reach the vector valued version of Caristi's theorem in vector valued metric spaces. It is shown that how the absence of the regularity causes some previous Caristi type theorems and results fail to be correct. Our main result give a vector valued version of Caristi's theorem for correspondences with weakened hypotheses in comparison with previous results and generalize them.

Fixed Points of Integral Type Contractions in Uniform Spaces with a Graph

In this paper, we discuss the existence of fixed points for integral type contractions in uniform spaces endowed with both a graph and an $E$-distance. We also give two sufficient conditions under which the fixed point is unique. Our main results generalize some recent metric fixed point theorems.
