Dynamical spin-nematic correlation in a transverse field Ising chain with non-Hermitian Gamma interaction

We investigate the effect of non-Hermitian Gamma interaction on the phase transitions and magnetic correlations for the transverse field Ising chain. We demonstrate that apart from the gapped antiferromagnetic and paramagnetic phases, there is a gapless phase induced by parity-time symmetry breaking, where the system exhibits long-range and short-range spin-nematic correlations in different regions divided by the quantum critical line determined from the correlation function and the subsystem entanglement entropy. Furthermore, we reveal that the parity-time symmetry breaking leads to the emergence of dynamical spin-nematic correlation, which also suggests a way of characterizing the spin-nematic phase diagram through non-equilibrium dynamics. Our findings show rich quantum phases stem from the competition among the Ising interaction, transverse field and non-Hermitian Gamma interaction, as well as providing a scheme for generating spin-nematic correlation in the spin chain.

Resonant dynamics of spin cluster in a periodically driven one-dimensional Rydberg lattice

Rydberg lattice under facilitation conditions can feature kinetic constraints, leading to ballistic and nonergodic behavior at different detuning intensities. Here, we demonstrate that a resonant driving field can achieve effects similar to those under facilitation conditions. We focus on the relaxation dynamics of spin clusters in a periodically driven Rydberg spin lattice. Through an effective Hamiltonian for the domain walls of the spin cluster, it is shown that when the driving frequency is resonant with the Rydberg interaction, the spin cluster exhibits ballistic expansion with half the spreading rate compared to the case of facilitation conditions. However, near the resonant point, the spin cluster displays confinement behavior of the Bloch-like oscillations. These results demonstrate the rich dynamic behaviors in the driven Rydberg spin lattices and may find applications in quantum state manipulation.

Two-doublon Bloch oscillations in the mass-imbalanced extended Fermi-Hubbard model

Interactions between particles normally induce the decay of the particles Bloch oscillations (BOs) in a periodic lattice. In the limit of strong on-site interactions, spin-$1/2$ fermions may form doublon bound states and undergo BOs in the presence of a tilted potential. Here we investigate the impact of nearest-neighbor interaction $V$ on the multi-doublon BOs in a mass-imbalanced extended Fermi-Hubbard model. We derive an effective Hamiltonian for doublons, and show that a slight change in $V$ can qualitatively alter their dynamic behaviors. Notably, at a resonance point, the doublons behave like free hard-core bosons. Under a tilted potential, the system may exhibit different types of multi-doublon BOs at or deviation from the resonance point. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate our conclusions in both one- and two-dimensional systems.
