Resurgence of the Thermal Transition between Bounce and Sphaleron

We study the thermal transition between the bounce and the sphaleron in quantum mechanics with a metastable vacuum from the viewpoint of Borel resurgence. For two models representing a second-order and a first-order transition, we compute the perturbative expansion of the thermal free energy to high orders and extract the leading Borel singularity data $(A,b,S)$ as functions of temperature. The Borel singularity location $A$ reproduces the on-shell action of the dominant saddle on both sides of the transition, joining smoothly in the second-order case and developing a kink in the first-order case. The characteristic exponent $b$ jumps between $0$ and $1/2$ across the transition, counting the zero modes of the corresponding saddle. The Stokes constant $S$ matches the one-loop determinant around the saddle. The perturbative expansion around the false vacuum thus determines the transition temperature, the order of the transition, and the decay rate including the one-loop prefactor without relying on semiclassical inputs.

Gravitational Edge Mode in $\mathcal{N}=1$ Jackiw-Teitelboim Supergravity

We study the gravitational edge mode in the $\mathcal{N}=1$ Jackiw-Teitelboim~(JT) supergravity on the disk and it $osp(2|1)$ BF formulation. We revisit the derivation of the finite-temperature Schwarzian action in the conformal gauge of the bosonic JT gravity through wiggling boundary and the frame fluctuation descriptions. Extending our method to $\mathcal{N}=1$ JT supergravity, we derive the finite-temperature super-Schwarzian action for the edge mode from both the wiggling boundary and the superframe field fluctuation. We emphasize the crucial role of the supersymmetric version of the inversion formula in elucidating the relation between the isometry and the $OSp(2|1)$ gauging of the super-Schwarzian action. In $osp(2|1)$ BF formulation, we discuss the asymptotic AdS condition. We employ the Iwasawa-like decomposition of $OSp(2|1)$ group element to derive the super-Schwarzian action at finite temperature. We demonstrate that the $OSp(2|1)$ gauging arises from inherent redundancy in the Iwasawa-like decomposition. We also discuss the path integral measure obtained from the Haar measure of $OSp(2|1)$.

Structure Constants of a Single Trace Operator and Determinant Operators from Hexagon

We study the structure constant of a single trace operator and two determinant operators in ${\cal N}=4$ super Yang-Mills theory. Holographically such a quantity corresponds to the interaction vertex between a closed string and two open strings attached to the spherical $D$-branes. Relying on diagrammatic intuition, we conjecture that the structure constant at the finite coupling is nicely written by the hexagon form factors. Precisely we need to prepare two hexagon twist operators and appropriately glue edges together by integrating mirror particles contributions and by contracting boundary states. The gluing generates the worldsheet for a closed string and two open strings attached to the $D$-branes. At the weak coupling, the asymptotic expression simply reduces to sum over all possible partitions not only for the edge related to the closed string but also for the edges representing the half of the open string together with reflection effects for the opposite open string edges. We test the conjecture by directly computing various tree level structure constants. The result is nicely matched with our conjecture.
