OmniRobotHome: A Multi-Camera Home Platform for Real-Time Human-Robot Interaction

Robots in homes must continuously sense the people around them, yet most prior work relies on limited or offline perception. We argue that perception quality is the dominant factor governing what interaction is achievable at home, and build a testbed to test this claim. OmniRobotHome instruments a furnished home with 48 hardware-synchronized cameras and three manipulators in a unified world frame, delivering real-time markerless full-body human pose, 6D object pose, anticipatory motion forecasting, and a social avatar agent that converses with residents. Using the platform, we treat perception quality as an experimental variable across safety, human assistance, and social interaction, and find that interaction quality degrades measurably as real-timeness, granularity, coverage, accuracy, forecasting, or memory is weakened. All code and data will be released.

DeVI: Physics-based Dexterous Human-Object Interaction via Synthetic Video Imitation

Recent advances in video generative models enable the synthesis of realistic human-object interaction videos across a wide range of scenarios and object categories, including complex dexterous manipulations that are difficult to capture with motion capture systems. While the rich interaction knowledge embedded in these synthetic videos holds strong potential for motion planning in dexterous robotic manipulation, their limited physical fidelity and purely 2D nature make them difficult to use directly as imitation targets in physics-based character control. We present DeVI (Dexterous Video Imitation), a novel framework that leverages text-conditioned synthetic videos to enable physically plausible dexterous agent control for interacting with unseen target objects. To overcome the imprecision of generative 2D cues, we introduce a hybrid tracking reward that integrates 3D human tracking with robust 2D object tracking. Unlike methods relying on high-quality 3D kinematic demonstrations, DeVI requires only the generated video, enabling zero-shot generalization across diverse objects and interaction types. Extensive experiments demonstrate that DeVI outperforms existing approaches that imitate 3D human-object interaction demonstrations, particularly in modeling dexterous hand-object interactions. We further validate the effectiveness of DeVI in multi-object scenes and text-driven action diversity, showcasing the advantage of using video as an HOI-aware motion planner.

OmniEgoCap: Camera-Agnostic Sequence-Level Egocentric Motion Reconstruction

The proliferation of commercial egocentric devices offers a unique lens into human behavior, yet reconstructing full-body 3D motion remains difficult due to frequent self-occlusion and the 'out-of-sight' nature of the wearer's limbs. While head and hand trajectories provide sparse anchor points, current methods often overfit to specific hardware optics or rely on expensive, post-hoc optimizations that compromise motion naturalness. In this paper, we present OmniEgoCap, a unified diffusion framework that scales egocentric reconstruction to diverse capture setups. By shifting from short-term windowed estimation to sequence-level inference, our method captures a global perspective and recovers invariant physical attributes, such as height and body proportions, that provide critical constraints for disambiguating head-only cues. To ensure hardware-agnostic generalization, we introduce a geometry-aware visibility augmentation strategy that treats intermittent hand appearances as principled geometric constraints rather than missing data. Our architecture jointly predicts temporally coherent motion and consistent body shape, establishing a new state-of-the-art on public benchmarks and demonstrating robust performance across diverse, in-the-wild environments.
