Integrable atomtronic interferometry

High sensitivity quantum interferometry requires more than just access to entangled states. It is achieved through deep understanding of quantum correlations in a system. Integrable models offer the framework to develop this understanding. We communicate the design of interferometric protocols for an integrable model that describes the interaction of bosons in a four-site configuration. Analytic formulae for the quantum dynamics of certain observables are computed. These expose the system's functionality as both an interferometric identifier, and producer, of NOON states. Being equivalent to a controlled-phase gate acting on two hybrid qudits, this system also highlights an equivalence between Heisenberg-limited interferometry and quantum information. These results are expected to open new avenues for integrability-enhanced atomtronic technologies.

Integrable model of bosons in a four-well ring with anisotropic tunneling

We introduce an integrable, four-well ring model for bosons where the tunneling couplings between nearest-neighbour wells are not restricted to be equal. We show how the model may be derived through the Quantum Inverse Scattering Method from a solution of the Yang--Baxter equation, and in turn solved by algebraic Bethe Ansatz means. The model admits multiple pseudovaccum states. Numerical evidence is provided to indicate that all pseudovacua are required to obtain a complete set of Bethe eigenstates. The model has the notable property that there is a class of eigenstates which admit a simple, closed-form energy expression.

N=1 super sinh-Gordon model in the half line: Breather solutions

We examine the N=1 super sinh-Gordon (SShG) model restricted into the half line through a reduction from the defect SShG model. The Bäcklund transformations are employed to generate one-, two- and three-soliton solutions as well as a class of breathers solution for this model. The parameters of such classical solutions are shown to satisfy some contraints in order to preserve both integrability and supersymmetry properties of the original bulk theory. Additionally, previous results are recovered when performing the purely bosonic limit.

Grassmanian and Bosonic Thirring Models with Jump Defects

In this paper we discuss the Lax formulation of the Grassmanian and Bosonic Thirring models in the presence of jump defects. For the Grassmanian case, the defect is described by Bäcklund transformation which is responsible for preserving the integrability of the model. We then propose an extension of the Bäcklund transformation for the Bosonic Thirring model which is verified by some Bäcklund transitions like Vacuum-One soliton, One soliton - One soliton, One soliton - Two solitons and Two solitons - Two solitons. The Lax formulation within the space split by the defect leads to the integrability of Bosonic Thirring model.

Nonautonomous mixed mKdV-sinh-Gordon hierarchy

The construction of a nonautonomous mixed mKdV/sine-Gordon model is proposed by employing an infinite dimensional affine Lie algebraic structure within the zero curvature representation. A systematic construction of soliton solutions is provided by an adaptation of the dressing method which takes into account arbitrary time dependent functions. A particular choice of those arbitrary functions provides an interesting solution describing the transition of a pure mKdV system into a pure sine-Gordon soliton.

Thirring Model with Jump Defect

The purpose of our work is to extend the formulation of classical affine Toda Models in the presence of jump defects to pure fermionic Thirring model. As a first attempt we construct the Lagrangian of the Grassmanian Thirring model with jump defect (of Backlund type) and present its conserved modified momentum and energy expressions giving a first indication of its integrability.

Integrablility of a Classical $N= 2$ Super Sinh-Gordon Model with Jump Defects

The Lagrangian formalism for the N=2 supersymmetric sinh-Gordon model with a jump defect is considered. The modified conserved momentum and energy are constructed in terms of border functions. The supersymmetric Backlund transformation is given and an one-soliton solution is obtained. The Lax formulation based on the affine super Lie algebra $sl(2,2)$ within the space split by the defect leads to the integrability of the model and henceforth to the existence of an infinite number of constants of motion.

A Class of Soliton Solutions for the N=2 Super mKdV/Sinh-Gordon Hierarchy

Employing the Hirota's method, a class of soliton solutions for the N=2 super mKdV equations is proposed in terms of a single Grassmann parameter. Such solutions are shown to satisfy two copies of N=1 supersymmetric mKdV equations connected by nontrivial algebraic identities. Using the super Miura transformation, we obtain solutions of the N=2 super KdV equations. These are shown to generalize solutions derived previously. By using the mKdV/sinh-Gordon hierarchy properties we generate the solutions of the N=2 super sinh-Gordon as well.

Classical Integrable N=1 and $N= 2$ Super Sinh-Gordon Models with Jump Defects

The structure of integrable field theories in the presence of jump defects is discussed in terms of boundary functions under the Lagrangian formalism. Explicit examples of bosonic and fermionic theories are considered. In particular, the boundary functions for the N=1 and N=2 super sinh-Gordon models are constructed and shown to generate the Backlund transformations for its soliton solutions. As a new and interesting example, a solution with an incoming boson and an outgoing fermion for the N=1 case is presented. The resulting integrable models are shown to be invariant under supersymmetric transformation.

Integrable Field Theories with Defects

The structure of integrable field theories in the presence of defects is discussed in terms of boundary functions under the Lagrangian formalism. Explicit examples of bosonic and fermionic theories are considered. Soliton Solutions for the Super mKdV and sinh-Gordon Hierarchy

The dressing and vertex operator formalism is emploied to study the soliton solutions of the N=1 super mKdV and sinh-Gordon models. Explicit two and four vertex solutions are constructed. The relation between the soliton solutions of both models is verified.

Classical Integrable Super sinh-Gordon equation with defects

The introduction of defects is discussed under the Lagrangian formalism and Backlund transformations for the N=1 super sinh-Gordon model. Modified conserved momentum and energy are constructed for this case. Some explicit examples of different Backlund solitons solutions are discussed. The Lax formulation within the space split by the defect leads to the integrability of the model and henceforth to the existence of an infinite number of constants of motion

N=2 and N=4 Supersymmetric mKdV and sinh-Gordon Hierarchies

Integrable models with higher N=2 and N=4 supersymmetries are formulated on reductions of twisted loop superalgebras $\hat{sl}(2|2)$ and $\hat{sl}(4|4) $ endowed with principal gradation. In case of the $\hat{sl}(4|4)$ loop algebra a sequence of progressing reductions leads both to the N=4 and N=2 supersymmetric mKdV and sinh-Gordon equations. The reduction scheme is induced by twisted automorphism and allows via dressing approach to associate to each symmetry flow of half-integer degree a supersymmetry transformation involving only local expressions in terms of the underlying fields.
