Study of the ground state energies of some nuclei using hybrid model

The quark-quark QQ interaction as a perturbed term to the nucleon-nucleon interaction NN without any coupling between them is studied in a hybrid model. This model is used to calculate the ground-state energies of 2H1 and 4He2 nuclei. In a semi-relativistic framework, this model is encouraged for light nuclei and the instanton induced interaction by using the QQ potential and the NN interaction for a small scale around the hadron boundaries. This hybrid model depends on two theories, the one-boson exchange potential OBEP and the Cornell-dressed potential CDP for QQ. A small effect of quark-quark interaction is obtained on the values of the ground state energies, around 6.7 for 2H1 and 1.2 for 4He2 by using the considered hybrid model.

The Ground State Calculations for Some Nuclei by Mesonic Potential of Nucleon-Nucleon Interaction

The interaction of Nucleon-Nucleon (NN) has certain physical characteristics, which indicated by nucleon, and meson degrees of freedom. The main purpose of this work is calculating the ground state energies of 21 Deutron and Alfa through the two-body system with the exchange of mesons (Pi, segma, omega) that mediated between two nucleons. This paper investigates NN interaction based on the quasi-relativistic decoupled Dirac equation and self-consistent Hartree-Fock formulation. We construct one-boson exchange potential (OBEP) model, where each nucleon is treated as a Dirac particle and acts as a source of pseudoscalar, scalar, and vector fields. The potential in the present work is analytically derived with two static functions of meson, the single particle energy dependent(SPED) and generalized Yukawa (GY) functions, the parameters used in meson functions are just published ones (mass, coupling constant, and cut o? parameters). The theoretical results are compared to other theoretical models and their corresponding experimental data, one can see that the SPED function gives more satisfied agreement than the GY function in case of the considered nuclei.

Generalized Dirac structure beyond the linear regime in graphene

We show that a generalized Dirac structure survives beyond the linear regime of the low-energy dispersion relations of graphene. A generalized uncertainty principle of the kind compatible with specific quantum gravity scenarios with a fundamental minimal length (here graphene lattice spacing) and Lorentz violation (here the particle/hole asymmetry, the trigonal warping, etc.) is naturally obtained. We then show that the corresponding emergent field theory is a table-top realization of such scenarios, by explicitly computing the third order Hamiltonian, and giving the general recipe for any order. Remarkably, our results imply that going beyond the low-energy approximation does not spoil the well-known correspondence with analogue massless quantum electrodynamics phenomena (as usually believed), but rather it is a way to obtain experimental signatures of quantum-gravity-like corrections to such phenomena.

On dynamical net-charge fluctuations within a hadron resonance gas approach

The dynamical net-charge fluctuations ($ν_{dyn}$) in different particle ratios $K/π$, $K/p$, and $p/π$ are calculated from the hadron resonance gas (HRG) model and compared with STAR central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=7.7-200~$GeV and NA49 central Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=6.3-17.3~$GeV. The three charged-particle ratios ($K/π$, $K/p$, and $p/π$) are determined as total and average of opposite and average of same charges. We find an excellent agreement between the HRG calculations and the experimental measurements, especially from STAR beam energy scan (BES) program, while the strange particles in the NA49 experiment at lower Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) energies are not reproduced by the HRG approach. We conclude that the utilized HRG version seems to take into consideration various types of correlations including strong interactions through the heavy resonances and their decays especially at BES energies.

A study on baryons spectroscopy using digamma-function as interacting potential

In the present work, the interacting potential form between quarks inside a baryon is taken to be proportional to the digamma-function. Using the Jacobi-coordinates the three body wave equation is solved to calculate the different states of the considered baryons. The present model contains only two adjustable parameters in addition to the quark masses. Our theoretical calculations are compared to the available experimental data and Cornelll potential calculations. The present potential model calculations show a satisfied agreement in case of investigated the resonance masses of the considered baryons. One can conclude that; the interaction between the quark constituents of baryon systems could be described adequately by using the considered simple potential form.

Quantum Gravity effect on the Quark-Gluon Plasma

The Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP), which has been predicted by various theories of quantum gravity near the Planck scale is implemented on deriving the thermodynamics of ideal Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) consisting of two massless quark flavors at the hadron-QGP phase equilibrium and at a vanishing chemical potential. The effective degrees of freedom and MIT bag pressure are utilized to distinguish between the hadronic and partonic phases. We find that GUP makes a non-negligible contribution to all thermodynamic quantities, especially at high temperatures. The asymptotic behavior of corresponding QGP thermodynamic quantities characterized by the Stephan-Boltzmann limit would be approached, when the GUP approach is taken into consideration.
