One-loop electroweak radiative corrections to polarized $e^+e^- \to γZ$ process

This paper gives high-precision theoretical predictions for cross sections of the process $e^+e^- \to γZ$ for future electron-positron colliders. The calculations are performed using the SANC system. They include complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections, as well as longitudinal polarization of the initial state. Numerical results are given for the center-of-mass system energy range $\sqrt{s} = 250 - 1000$ GeV with various polarization degrees in the $α(0)$ and $G_μ$ EW schemes. This study is a contribution to the research program of the CEPC project being under development in China.

One-loop radiative corrections to photon-pair production in polarized positron-electron annihilation

A theoretical description of photon-pair production in polarized positron-electron annihilation is presented. Complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections are calculated taking into account the exact dependence on the electron mass. Analytical results are derived with the help of the SANC~system. The relevant contributions to the cross section are calculated analytically using the helicity amplitude approach. The cases of unpolarized and longitudinally polarized fermions in the initial state are investigated. Calculations are realized in the Monte Carlo integrator MCSANCee and generator ReneSANCe which allow one the implementation of any experimental cuts used in the analysis of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data of both low and high energies.

Effects of electroweak radiative corrections in polarized low-energy electron-positron annihilation into lepton pairs

Complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections to the cross section of the process $e^+e^- \to μ^-μ^+ (τ^-τ^+)$ are evaluated with the help of the \SANC system. Higher-order contributions of the initial state radiation are computed in the QED structure function formalism. Numerical results are given for the center-of-mass energy range $\sqrt{s}=5, ~7$~GeV for various polarization degrees of the initial particles.

Theory for the FCC-ee : Report on the 11th FCC-ee Workshop

The Future Circular Collider (FCC) at CERN, a proposed 100-km circular facility with several colliders in succession, culminates with a 100 TeV proton-proton collider. It offers a vast new domain of exploration in particle physics, with orders of magnitude advances in terms of Precision, Sensitivity and Energy. The implementation plan foresees, as a first step, an Electroweak Factory electron-positron collider. This high luminosity facility, operating between 90 and 365 GeV centre-of-mass energy, will study the heavy particles of the Standard Model, Z, W, Higgs, and top with unprecedented accuracy. The Electroweak Factory $e^+e^-$ collider constitutes a real challenge to the theory and to precision calculations, triggering the need for the development of new mathematical methods and software tools. A first workshop in 2018 had focused on the first FCC-ee stage, the Tera-Z, and confronted the theoretical status of precision Standard Model calculations on the Z-boson resonance to the experimental demands. The second workshop in January 2019, which is reported here, extended the scope to the next stages, with the production of W-bosons (FCC-ee-W), the Higgs boson (FCC-ee-H) and top quarks (FCC-ee-tt). In particular, the theoretical precision in the determination of the crucial input parameters, alpha_QED, alpha_QCD, M_W, m_t at the level of FCC-ee requirements is thoroughly discussed. The requirements on Standard Model theory calculations were spelled out, so as to meet the demanding accuracy of the FCC-ee experimental potential. The discussion of innovative methods and tools for multi-loop calculations was deepened. Furthermore, phenomenological analyses beyond the Standard Model were discussed, in particular the effective theory approaches. The reports of 2018 and 2019 serve as white papers of the workshop results and subsequent developments.

One-loop electroweak radiative corrections to polarized Bhabha scattering

Theoretical predictions for Bhabha scattering observables are presented including complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections. A longitudinal polarization of the initial beams is taken into account. Numerical results for the asymmetry $A_{LR}$ and the relative correction $δ$ are given for the set of the energy $E_{cm}=250, 500, 1000$~GeV with various polarization degrees.

Update of the MCSANC Monte Carlo Integrator, v.1.20

This article presents new features of the MCSANC v.1.20 program, a Monte Carlo tool for calculation of the next-to-leading order electroweak and QCD corrections to various Standard Model processes. The extensions concern implementation of Drell--Yan-like processes and include a systematic treatment of the photon-induced contribution in proton--proton collisions and electroweak corrections beyond NLO approximation. There are also technical improvements such as calculation of the forward-backward asymmetry for the neutral current Drell--Yan process. The updated code is suitable for studies of the effects due to EW and QCD radiative corrections to Drell--Yan (and several other) processes at the LHC and for forthcoming high energy proton--proton colliders.

SANC integrator in the progress: QCD and EW contributions

Modules and packages for the one-loop calculations at partonic level represent the first level of SANC output computer product. The next level represents Monte Carlo integrator mcsanc, realizing fully differential hadron level calculations (convolution with PDF) for the HEP processes at LHC. In this paper we describe the implementation into the framework mcsanc first set of processes: DY NC, DY CC, ff->HW(Z) and single top production. Both EW and QCD NLO corrections are taken into account. A comparison of SANC results with those existing in the world literature is given.

Electroweak radiative corrections to the three channels of the process f_1 bar-f_1 ZA --> 0

We have calculated the electroweak radiative corrections at the O(alpha) level to the three channels of the process f_1 bar-f_1 Z A --> 0 and implemented them into the SANC system. Here A stands for the photon and f_1 for a first generation fermion whose mass is neglected everywhere except in arguments of logarithmic functions. The symbol --> 0 means that 4-momenta of all the external particles flow inwards. We present the complete analytical results for the covariant and helicity amplitudes for three cross channels: f_1 + bar-f_1 --> Z + gamma, Z --> f_1 + bar-f_1 + gamma and f_1 + gamma --> f_1 + Z. The one-loop scalar form factors of these channels are simply related by an appropriate permutation of their arguments s,t,u. To check the correctness of our results we first of all observe the independence of the scalar form factors on the gauge parameters and the validity of the Ward identity, i.e. external photon transversality, and, secondly, compare our numerical results with the other independent calculations available to us.

SANCnews: Sector ffbb

In this paper we describe the implementation of processes f_1 bar-f_1 ZZ --> 0 and f_1 bar-f_1 HZ --> 0 into the framework of SANC system. The f_1 stands for a massless fermion f whose mass is kept non-zero only in arguments of ln functions and --> 0 means that all 4-momenta flow inwards. The derived scalar form factors can be used for any cross channel after an appropriate permutation of their arguments (s,t,u). We present the covariant and helicity amplitudes for these processes: for the former only in the annihilation channel f_1 bar-f_1 --> ZZ, while for the latter in annihilation f_1 bar-f_1 --> HZ and decay H --> Z f_1 bar-f_1 channels. We briefly describe additional precomputation modules which were not covered in the previous paper. For the processes f_1 bar-f_1 --> HZ(ZZ) and decay H --> Z f_1 bar-f_1 we present compact results of calculation of the accompanying bremsstrahlung and discuss exhaustive numerical results. As applications there are two types of the Monte Carlo generators for the process H --> 4μ. The first one is the generator based on a single resonance approximation for one of the Z bosons. The second one, exploiting the double resonance approximation, is not described in this article. For the generator in the single approximation we present a short description. Whenever possible, we compare our results with those existing in the literature. For example, we present a comparison of the results for H --> 4 μdecay with those obtained by MC generator Prophecy4f.

The three channels of the process f_1 bar-f_1 H A --> 0 in the SANC framework

In this paper we describe the implementation of the processes f_1 bar-f_1 H A --> 0 into the framework of SANC system. Here A stands for a photon and f_1 -- for a massless fermion whose mass is neglected everywhere besides arguments of logarithmic functions. The symbol --> 0 means that all 4-momenta flow inwards. The derived one-loop scalar form factors can be used for any cross channel after an appropriate permutation of their arguments s,t,u. We present the covariant and helicity amplitudes for all three possible cross channels. For checking of the correctness of the results first of all we observe the independence on the gauge parameters and the validity of Ward identity (external photon transversality), and, secondly, we make an extensive comparison with the other independent calculations.
