Geometric Phase of the Two-Particle Bethe Wavefunction

We consider a problem of geometric phase generation in a system of two interacting bosons confined in a narrow ring potential with a localized defect. Geometric phase emerges from variation of parameters of the defect. Particle interaction is taken into account within a framework of the Lieb-Liniger model. The energy spectrum is evaluated and its dependence on the parameters of the problem is described. It is shown that the interaction leads to increase of the geometric phase for a given contour of variations. The work is motivated by earlier proposed ideas of quantum gyroscope and quantum accelerometer based on atomic Bose-Einstein condensates.

Spin multiplicity and entanglement swapping in radical ion recombinations

We address the problem of relative frequencies of singlet and triplet recombinations in a multiparticle system, which consists of spin-correlated radical ion pairs. The nonlocal swapping of spin correlations due to cross-recombinations is taken into account. It is shown that this swapping does not contribute to singlet and triplet recombination frequencies in the absence of spin evolution in the correlated pairs.

Light-induced conversion of nuclear spin isomers of molecules

We report on a new phenomenon of molecular nuclear spin isomers conversion in the field of resonant laser radiation. It is based on the isomer-selective optical excitation and the difference of conversion rates for excited and unexcited molecules. We expect the considerable magnitude of the effect for all molecules which absorb the radiation of existing lasers.

The Dynamic Effect of Quantum Decoherence

An effective force induced by spatially depending decoherence is predicted. The phenomenon is illustrated by a simple model of a 1/2-spin particle subjected to distributed unselective measurement of noncommuting spin components.
