Gluon mass from charmonium radiative decay and its impact on the hybrid meson properties

We study the photon spectrum in the radiative decays of the charmonium $\frac{1}Γ\frac{dΓ(J/ψ\rightarrowγgg)}{dz}$ as an excellent scene for hunting the exotic mesons (hybrids $q\bar{q}g$ and glueballs $gg$) and an ideal frame for the theoretical and phenomenological investigations of the gluon nature in IR, by subtle estimation of its non-zero effective mass which seems required in Quark-Gluon Constituent Model (QGCM) for identifying the nature of these exotic species.

Predictions for the isolated diphoton production through NNLO in QCD and comparison to the 8 TeV ATLAS data

We present cross section predictions for the isolated diphoton production in next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD using the computational framework MATRIX. Both the integrated and the differential fiducial cross sections are calculated. We found that the arbitrary setup of the isolation procedure introduces uncertainties with a size comparable to the estimation of the theoretical uncertainties obtained with the customary variation of the factorization and renormalization scales. This fact is taken into account in the final result.

Hybrid meson interpretation of the exotic resonance π_{1}(1600)

The exotic J^{PC}= 1^{-+} resonance π_{1}(1600)is examined in the framework of the Quark Model with Constituent Gluon (QMCG). We report the possibility of interpreting that resonance as quark-antiquark-gluon hybrid meson, with a masse = 1.65+0.05-0.04 GeV and a rho-pi decay width = 0.28+0.14-0.09 GeV.

Determination of the strong coupling constant from ATLAS measurements of the inclusive isolated prompt photon cross section at 7 TeV

We present an estimation of the strong coupling constant alphas(MZ) using, for the first time, the production of prompt photon process in proton-proton collisions at the LHC. ATLAS measurements of the inclusive isolated prompt photon cross section at 7 TeV are exploited. Both theoretical and experimental uncertainties are estimated and the strong coupling constant has been determined to be alphas(MZ)= 0.1183 +- 0.0038, to NLO accuracy.

Hybrid Mesons Masses in a Quark-Gluon Constituent Model

QCD theory allows the existence of states which cannot be built by the naive quark model; both theoretical arguments and experimental data confirm the hypothesis that gluons may have freedom degrees at the constituent level, and should be confined. In this work, we use a phenomenological potential motivated by QCD (with some relativistic corrections) to determine the masses and the wavefunctions of several hybrid mesons, within the context of a constituent q-qbar-g model. We compare our estimates of the masses with the predictions of other theoretical models and with the observed masses of candidates.
