Transverse momentum and rapidity distributions of top quarks in pair and single top quark production within the non-commutative standard model at the LHC

This paper presents a comprehensive study of top quark phenomenology within the Non-Commutative Standard Model. We calculate non-commutative corrections to the squared amplitudes for top quark pair production, as well as for single top quark production via the $t$-channel and $tW$-channel, while noting that the $s$-channel remains unaffected by non-commutative geometry. Utilizing MadGraph5_aMC@NLO, we determine total cross-sections at various center-of-mass energies and examine differential distributions in transverse momentum and rapidity at leading order in both the strong coupling $\alpha_S$ and the non-commutative parameter $\Theta$. For single top production in the $t$-channel, a matching technique is employed to extend the validity of the distribution to low $p_t^{top}$ values through resummation. We also compare the non-commutative corrections with higher-order QCD corrections obtained at NLO using MCFM and at NNLO from existing literature. Our findings reveal significant deviations arising from non-commutative geometry at high energies, providing insights into potential new physics at energy scales accessible by current and future colliders.

New treatment of red/blue shifts of emitted photons in terms of Kerr-Newman black hole parameters

This study presents a method for determining the mass, angular momentum, and charge of Kerr-Newman black holes by analyzing the red/blue shifts of photons emitted by geodesic neutral massive objects. We derive the equations of motion for photons in the Kerr-Newman spacetime. We obtain explicit expressions for redshift/blueshift photons emitted by an object orbiting a Kerr-Newman black hole. Finally, using the Boyer-Lindquist coordinates, we express the red/blue shifts in terms of the metric parameters.

Higgs $p_t$ distribution in Higgs + jet production at hadron colliders within the noncommutative effective standard model

We use the noncommutative Higgs effective standard model to make a phenomenological prediction for the transverse momentum distribution of the Higgs boson produced in association with a jet at hadron colliders. We calculate at leading order in the noncommutative parameter $Θ$ as well as leading order in the strong coupling $α_s$, the one-loop $p_t$ distribution of the Higgs boson. As in the standard model, the fixed-order distribution suffers from large logarithms at small $p_t$ which require an all-orders resummation. We find that the large-$p_t$ region of the distribution is strongly affected by the non-commutativity, while small-$p_t$ region is not. Following this observation, we propose a simple matching method that allows us to compute a result that is also valid at small $p_t$ obtained with standard-model parton showers such as Pythia 8. We also compare our results with the next-to-leading order (NLO) and next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) distributions in the standard model, in order to assess the importance of higher-order effects in the search for non-commutativity at colliders.

Hartmann potential with a minimal length and generalized recurrence relations for matrix elements

In this work we study the Schrödinger equation in the presence of the Hartmann potential with a generalized uncertainty principle. We pertubatively obtain the matrix elements of the hamiltonian at first order in the parameter of deformation $β$ and show that some degenerate states are removed. We give analytic expressions for the solutions of the diagonal matrix elements. Finally, we derive a generalized recurrence formula for the angular average values.

Non-commutative DKP equation and pair creation in curved space-time

This study is about the application of the non-commutativity on the DKP equation up to first order in $θ$ for the process of pair-creation of bosons from vacuum in (1+1) curved space-time. The density of particles created in the vacuum can be calculated with the help of the Bogoliubov transformations. The non-commutative density of created particles is found to decrease as $\frac{1% }{\sqrt{θ}}\sim Λ_{NC},$, so that the rate of particle creation increases whenever a non-commutativity parameter is small and this corresponds to the spirit of quantum mechanics.

New treatment of the noncommutative Dirac equation with a Coulomb potential

Using the approach the modified Euler-Lagrange field equation together with the corresponding Seiberg-Witten maps of the dynamical fields, a noncommutative Dirac equation with a Coulomb potential is derived. We then find the noncommutative modification the energy levels and the possible new transitions. In the nonrelativistic limit a general form of the hamiltonian of the hydrogen atom is obtained, and we show that the noncommmutativity plays the role of spin and magnetic field which gives the hyper fine structure.
