Hadronic decay $D^+\toπ^+ηη$ and the $a_0(980)$ and $f_0(1370)$ contributions

Motivated by the resent BESIII Collaboration measurements of the process $D^+\toπ^+ηη$, we investigate this process by considering the contribution from the resonance $a_0(980)$, which is generated by $S$-wave pseudoscalar meson-pseudoscalar meson interaction, and the contribution from the intermediate scalar meson $f_0(1370)$. Our results could give a good description of the $π^+η$ and $ηη$ invariant mass distributions, which implies that the contribution from the intermediate $f_0(1370)$, neglected in BESIII analysis, could play a role in this process. Furthermore, the predicted Dalitz plots are also consistent with the BESIII measurements. The more precise measurements about this process in future could shed light on the mechanism of this process and the properties of $f_0(1370)$ and $a_0(980)$.

Study of the $B^-\to K^-ηη_c$ decay due to the $D\bar{D}$ bound state

We study the $B^- \to K^- ηη_c$ decay by taking into account the $S$-wave contributions from the pseudoscalar meson-pseudoscalar meson interactions within the unitary coupled-channel approach, where the $D\bar{D}$ bound state is dynamically generated. In addition, the contribution from the intermediate resonance $K_0^*(1430)^-$, with $K_0^*(1430)^- \to K^-η$, is also considered. Our results show that there is a clear peak around $3720$~MeV in the $ηη_c$ invariant mass distribution, which could be associated with the $D \bar{D}$ bound state. The future precise measurements of the $B^- \to K^- ηη_c$ process at the Belle II and LHCb experiments could be, therefore, used to check the existence of the $D \bar{D}$ bound state, and to deepen our understanding of the hadron-hadron interactions.

The $a_0(980)$ in the single Cabibbo-suppressed process $Λ_c \to π^0ηp$

In this work, we have investigated the Cabibbo-suppressed process $Λ_c \to π^0ηp$, by taking into account the intermediate scalar state $a_0(980)$, which could be dynamically generated from the $S$-wave pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar interaction within the chiral unitary approach. We have calculated the $π^0η$ invariant mass distribution, and found that there is a significant structure associated to the $a_0(980)$. We have also roughly estimated the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(Λ_c \to π^0ηp) \sim 10^{-4}$. We encourage our experimental colleagues to measure the process $Λ_c \to π^0ηp$ for searching for the state $a_0(980)$ in this reaction.

Search for a $D \bar{D}$ bound state in the $Λ_b \rightarrow ΛD\bar{D}$ process

We have investigated the process of $Λ_b\to ΛD\bar{D}$, by taking into account the contributions from the $s$-wave $D\bar{D}$ interaction within the coupled-channel unitary approach, and the intermediate $ψ(3770)$ resonance. In addition to the peak of the $ψ(3770)$, an enhancement near the $D\bar{D}$ mass threshold is found in the $D\bar{D}$ invariant mass distributions, which should be the reflection of the $D\bar{D}$ bound state. We would like to encourage our experimental colleagues to measure the $D\bar{D}$ invariant mass distribution of the $Λ_b\to ΛD\bar{D}$ process, which is crucial to search for the $D\bar{D}$ bound state and to understand the heavy-hadron heavy-hadron interactions.
