Tighter monogamy and polygamy relations for a superposition of the generalized $W$-class state and vacuum

Monogamy and polygamy relations characterize the distributions of entanglement in multipartite systems. We investigate the monogamy and polygamy relations with respect to any partitions for a superposition of the generalized $W$-class state and vacuum in terms of the Tsallis-$q$ entanglement and the Rényi-$α$ entanglement. By using the Hamming weight of the binary vectors related to the partitions of the subsystems, new classes of monogamy and polygamy inequalities are derived, which are shown to be tighter than the existing ones. Detailed examples are presented to illustrate the finer characterization of entanglement distributions.

Entanglement Witnesses Based on Symmetric Informationally Complete Measurements

We study entanglement witness and present a construction of entanglement witnesses in terms of the symmetric informationally complete measurements (SIC-POVM). The capability of our witness is shown by some examples and it can be found this witness detects more entanglement than previous separability method given also by SIC-POVM. What's more, comparing with the dimension dependence of SIC-POVM, we also give the entanglement witnesses can be always constructed from general symmetric informationally complete measurements (GSIC-POVM).

Discriminating bipartite mixed states by local operations

Unambiguous state discrimination of two mixed bipartite states via local operations and classical communications (LOCC) is studied and compared with the result of a scheme realized via global measurement. We show that the success probability of a global scheme for mixed-state discrimination can be achieved perfectly by the local scheme. In addition, we simulate this discrimination via a pair of pure entangled bipartite states. This simulation is perfect for local rather than global schemes due to the existence of entanglement and global coherence in the pure states. We also prove that LOCC protocol and the sequential state discrimination (SSD) can be interpreted in a unified view. We then hybridize the LOCC protocol with three protocols (SSD, reproducing and broadcasting) relying on classical communications. Such hybridizations extend the gaps between the optimal success probability of global and local schemes, which can be eliminated only for the SSD rather than the other two protocols.

Detecting EPR steering via two classes of local measurements

We study the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steering and present steerability criteria for arbitrary qubit-qudit (qudit-qubit) systems based on mutually unbiased measurements (MUMs) and general symmetric informationally complete measurements (general SIC-POVMs). Avoiding the usual complicated steering inequalities, these criteria can be more operational than some existing criteria and implemented experimentally. Detailed examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the criteria in both computation and experimental implementation.

Mutually unbiased measurement based entanglement witnesses

We study entanglement witness and present a construction of entanglement witnesses in terms of the mutually unbiased measurements (MUMs). These witnesses include the entanglement witnesses constructed from mutually unbiased bases (MUBs) as a special case. Comparing with the dimension dependence of MUBs, the witnesses can be always constructed from a complete set of $d+1$ MUMs for any dimension $d$. We show that our witness can detect entanglement better than previous separability criterion given also by MUMs. And the approach can be experimentally implemented.
