The complete dynamics description of positively curved metrics in the Wallach flag manifold $\mathrm{SU}(3)/\mathrm{T}^2$

The family of invariant Riemannian manifolds in the Wallach flag manifold $\mathrm{SU}(3)/\mathrm{T}^2$ is described by three parameters $(x,y,z)$ of positive real numbers. By restricting such a family of metrics in the \emph{tetrahedron} $\cal{T}:= x+y+z = 1$, in this paper, we describe all regions $\cal R \subset \cal T$ admitting metrics with curvature properties varying from positive sectional curvature to positive scalar curvature, including positive intermediate curvature notion's. We study the dynamics of such regions under the \emph{projected Ricci flow} in the plane $(x,y)$, concluding sign curvature maintenance and escaping. In addition, we obtain some results for positive intermediate Ricci curvature for a path of metrics on fiber bundles over $\mathrm{SU}(3)/\mathrm{T}^2$, further studying its evolution under the Ricci flow on the base.

Positive Ricci curvature through Cheeger deformations

This paper is devoted to a deep analysis of the process known as Cheeger deformation, applied to manifolds with isometric group actions. Here, we provide new curvature estimates near singular orbits and present several applications. As the main result, we answer a question raised by a seminal result of Searle--Wilhelm about lifting positive Ricci curvature from the quotient of an isometric action. To answer this question, we develop techniques that can be used to provide a substantially streamlined version of a classical result of Lawson and Yau, generalize a curvature condition of Chavéz, Derdzinski, and Rigas, as well as, give an alternative proof of a result of Grove and Ziller.

The concept of Cheeger deformations on fiber bundles with compact structure group

The purpose of this paper is two-fold: we systematically introduce the notion of Cheeger deformations on fiber bundles with compact structure groups, and recover in a very simple and unified fashion several results that either already appear in the literature or are known by experts, though are not explicitly written elsewhere. We re-prove: Schwachhöfer--Tuschmann Theorem on bi-quotients, many results due to Fukaya and Yamaguchi, as well as, naturally extend the work of Searle--Solórzano--Wilhelm on regularization properties of Cheeger deformations, among others. In this sense, this paper should be understood as a survey intended to demonstrate the power of Cheeger deformations. Even though some of the results here appearing may not be known as stated in the presented form, they were already expected, being our contribution to the standardization and spread of the technique via a unique language.

Singular Riemannian Foliations and the prescribing scalar curvature problem

An orbit-like foliation is a singular foliation on a complete Riemannian manifold $M$ whose leaves are locally equidistant (i.e., a singular Riemannian foliation) and (transversely) infinitesimally homogenous. This class of singular foliation contains not only the classe of partion of the space into orbits of isometric actions, but also infinite many non homogenous examples and in particular the partition of $M$ into orbits of a proper groupoid. In this paper we prove a version of Kondrakov Embedding Theorem and an analogous Principle of Symmetric Criticality of Palais for basic funcions of orbit-like foliations. As proof of concepts, we study not only the corresponding Yamabe problem in the setting, but also to the case of fiber bundles with homogeneous fibers, seeking for the existence of metrics with constant scalar curvature that respect the respective Riemannian Foliation decomposition. An application to the existence of positive constant scalar curvature on exotic spheres is presented. In an upcoming version we shall extend the results to the corresponding Kazdan--Warner problem.

On Mean curvature flow of Singular Riemannian foliations: Non compact cases

In this paper we investigate the mean curvature flow (MCF) of a regular leaf of a closed generalized isoparametric foliation as initial datum, generalizing previous results of Radeschi and first author. We show that, under bounded curvature conditions, any finite time singularity is a singular leaf, and the singularity is of type I. We also discuss the existence of basin of attractions, how cylinder structures can affect convergence of basic MCF of immersed submanifolds and make a few remarks on MCF of non closed leaves of generalized isoparametric foliation.

On the geometry of some Equivariantly related manifolds

We provide a topological procedure to obtain geometric realizations of both classical and `exotic' $G$-manifolds, such as spheres, bundles over spheres and Kervaire manifolds. As an application, we apply the process known as Cheeger deformations to produce new metrics of both positive Ricci and almost non-negative curvature on such objects.
