DD-pair production in the parton Reggeization approach taking into account single and double parton scattering scenarios

The paper presents the results of calculations of the cross sections for the production of $DD$-pairs at centre-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}=7$ and $13$ TeV in the parton Reggeization approach. The contribution of both single and double parton scattering is taken into account. To describe the non-perturbative effects of $c$-quark hadronization into $D$-mesons, a fragmentation model with the Peterson fragmentation function is used. The parameter $\sigma_{eff}=11.5^{+0.6}_{-0.5}$ mb, which determines the contribution of the double parton scattering mechanism, is fixed on the basis of a comparison with the available LHCb collaboration experimental data on the $D$-meson pairs production at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV.

Associated production of $J/\psi$ mesons and photons in the Parton Reggeization Approach and the double parton scattering model

We study the contribution of double parton scattering (DPS) to the associated production of $J/\psi$ mesons and photons with large transverse momenta in proton-proton collisions. Cross sections are computed within high-energy factorization using the Parton Reggeization Approach (PRA). We used two frameworks for hadronization of the $c\bar c$ pair into charmonium: nonrelativistic QCD (NRQCD) and the improved color evaporation model (ICEM). Hadronization model parameters are fixed using single $J/\psi$ production experimental data from the CMS and ATLAS collaborations at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We show that the DPS contribution significantly exceeds the single parton scattering (SPS) contribution and that theoretical predictions are strongly sensitive to the choice of hadronization model. We made predictions for various differential cross sections and correlation spectra for the associated $J/\psi$ and photon production at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV.

Associated production of $J/{\psi}$ and direct photon in the NRQCD and the ICEM using the high-energy factorization

We study the associated $J/{\psi}$ and direct photon production in the high-energy factorization, as it is formulated in the parton Reggeization approach, using two different models for the hadronization of a heavy quark-antiquark pair into a heavy quarkonium, namely the non-relativistic quantum chromodynamics (NRQCD) and the improved color evaporation model (ICEM). We find essential differences in the predictions for cross-section and transverse momenta spectra obtained using the NRQCD and the ICEM, which can be used to discriminate between these models. Our prediction for cross-sections of the associated $J/{\psi}$ and direct photon production at the LHC energies slightly overestimates the results obtained early in the next-to-leading order (NLO) calculation in the collinear parton model (CPM). We predict different two-particle correlation spectra in the associated $J/{\psi}$ and direct photon production which may be of interest for experimental study.
