The transverse momentum distribution of J/{\psi} mesons produced in pp collisions at the LHC

The transverse momentum distributions of J/{\psi}mesons produced in pp collisions at the center-of-mass energy 5 TeV, 7TeV, and 13 TeV are described by the modified Hagedorn function. The fitting results by the modified Hagedorn function are in accord with experimental data measured by the LHCb Collaboration at LHC. The related parameters are obtained and analyzed.

On transverse momenta and (pseudo)rapidity spectrum of the top quark in proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV

We study the transverse momenta and (pseudo)rapidity spectrum of the top quark and their decay products, the tt-system, and the total number of jets in proton-proton (pp) collisions at 13 TeV by using the Tsallis-Pareto-type function and the three-source Landau hydrodynamic model, respectively. The related parameters, such as the effective temperature of the interacting system (T), the non-extensivity of the process (n) and the width ($\sigma$) of (pseudo)rapidity distribution are extracted.

Elliptic flow of identified particles in Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV

In this paper, by using a Tsallis-Pareto-type function and the multisource thermal model, the elliptic flow coefficients of particles $\pi ^{\pm }$, $K^{\pm }$, $p+\overline{p}$, $\Lambda +\overline{% \Lambda }$, and $K_{S}^{0}$ produced in Pb-Pb collisions at the center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.02$ TeV are investigated. In the process of collisional evolution, because of geometric structure, pressure gradient, and thermal diffusion effects, deformation and translation occurred in the isotropic emission source, leading to anisotropy in the azimuth distribution of the final-state particles. Based on these dynamic factors, the dependence of elliptic flow on transverse momentum is described as well.

On pseudorapidity distribution in p-Pb and Xe-Xe collisions at high energy based on the three-source Landau hydrodynamic model

The pseudorapidity distributions of charged particles produced in p-Pb collisions and Xe-Xe collisions at LHC energies are described by the revised Landau hydrodynamic model. The research results are in agreement with the experimental data measured by ALICE collaboration at LHC. The related parameters are obtained and analyzed. And, we extracted the values of the squared speed of sound for central source are between 0.4 and 0.5.

Rapidity dependent transverse momentum spectra of heavy quarkonia produced in small collision systems at the LHC

The rapidity dependent transverse momentum spectra of heavy quarkonia (J/psi and Upsilon mesons) produced in small collision systems such as proton-proton (pp) and proton-lead (p-Pb) collisions at center-of-mass energy (per nucleon pair) 5-13 TeV are described by a two-component statistical model which is based on the Tsallis statistics and inverse power-law. The experimental data measured by the LHCb Collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are well fitted by the model results. The related parameters are obtained and the dependences of parameters on rapidity are analyzed.

Excitation functions of parameters extracted from three-source (net-)proton rapidity distributions in Au-Au and Pb-Pb collisions over an energy range from AGS to RHIC

Experimental results of the rapidity spectra of protons and net-protons (protons minus antiprotons) emitted in gold-gold (Au-Au) and lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions, measured by a few collaborations at the alternating gradient synchrotron (AGS), super proton synchrotron (SPS), and relativistic heavy ion collider (RHIC), are described by a three-source distribution. The values of the distribution width $\sigma_C$ and contribution ratio (relative contribution) $k_C$ of the central rapidity region, and the distribution width $\sigma_F$ and rapidity shift $\Delta y$ of the forward/backward rapidity regions, are then obtained. The excitation function of $\sigma_C$ increases generally with increase of the center-of-mass energy per nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$. The excitation function of $\sigma_F$ shows a saturation at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=8.8$ GeV. The excitation function of $k_C$ shows a minimum at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=8.8$ GeV and a saturation at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}\approx 17$ GeV. The excitation function of $\Delta y$ increase monotonously with $\ln \sqrt{s_{NN}}$ in the considered energy range.

Excitation functions of parameters in Erlang distribution, Schwinger mechanism, and Tsallis statistics in RHIC BES program

Experimental results of the transverse momentum distributions of phi mesons and $\Omega$ hyperons produced in gold-gold (Au-Au) collisions with different centrality intervals, measured by the STAR Collaboration at different energies (7.7, 11.5, 19.6, 27, and 39 GeV) in the beam energy scan (BES) program at the relativistic heavy ion collider (RHIC), are approximately described by the single Erlang distribution and the two-component Schwinger mechanism. Meanwhile, the STAR experimental transverse momentum distributions of negatively charged particles, produced in Au-Au collisions at RHIC BES energies, are approximately described by the two-component Erlang distribution and the single Tsallis statistics. The excitation functions of free parameters are obtained from the fit to the experimental data. A weak softest point in the string tension in $\Omega$ hyperon spectra is observed at 7.7 GeV.

Searching for minimum in dependence of squared speed-of-sound on collision energy

Experimental results of the rapidity distributions of negatively charged pions produced in proton-proton ($p$-$p$) and beryllium-beryllium (Be-Be) collisions at different beam momentums, measured by the NA61/SHINE Collaboration at the super proton synchrotron (SPS), are described by a revised (three-source) Landau hydrodynamic model. The squared speed-of-sound parameter $c^2_s$ is then extracted from the width of rapidity distribution. There is a local minimum (knee point) which indicates a softest point in the equation of state (EoS) appearing at about 40$A$ GeV/$c$ (or 8.8 GeV) in $c^2_s$ excitation function [the dependence of $c^2_s$ on incident beam momentum (or center-of-mass energy)]. This knee point should be related to the searching for the onset of quark deconfinement and the critical point of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) phase transition.

Comparing Erlang distribution and Schwinger mechanism on transverse momentum spectra in high energy collisions

We study the transverse momentum spectra of J/psi and Upsilon mesons by using two methods: the two-component Erlang distribution and the two-component Schwinger mechanism. The results obtained by the two methods are compared and found to be in agreement with the experimental data of proton-proton (pp), proton-lead (p-Pb), and lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions measured by the LHCb and ALICE Collaborations at the large hadron collider (LHC). The related parameters such as the mean transverse momentum contributed by each parton in the first (second) component in the two-component Erlang distribution and the string tension between two partons in the first (second) component in the two-component Schwinger mechanism are extracted.

On Distributions of Emission Sources and Speed of Sound in Proton-proton (Proton-antiproton) Collisions

The revised (three-source) Landau hydrodynamic model is used in this paper to study the (pseudo)rapidity distributions of charged particles produced in proton-proton and proton-antiproton collisions at high energies. The central source is assumed to contribute with a Gaussian function which covers the rapidity distribution region as wide as possible. The target and projectile sources are assumed to emit isotropically particles in their respective rest frames. The model calculations obtained with a Monte Carlo method are fitted to the experimental data over an energy range from 0.2 to 13 TeV. The values of the squared speed-of-sound parameter in different collisions are then extracted from the width of the rapidity distributions.

On pseudorapidity distribution and speed of sound in high energy heavy ion collisions based on a new revised Landau hydrodynamic model

We propose a new revised Landau hydrodynamic model to study systematically the pseudorapidity distributions of charged particles produced in heavy ion collisions over an energy range from a few GeV to a few TeV per nucleon pair. The interacting system is divided into three sources namely the central, target, and projectile sources respectively. The large central source is described by the Landau hydrodynamic model and further revised by the contributions of the small target/projectile sources. In the calculation, to avoid the errors caused by an unapt conversion or non-division, the rapidity and pseudorapidity distributions are obtained respectively. The modeling results are in agreement with the available experimental data at relativistic heavy ion collider (RHIC), large hadron collider (LHC), and other energies for different centralities. The value of square speed of sound parameter in different collisions has been extracted by us from the widths of rapidity distributions. Our results show that, in heavy ion collisions at RHIC and LHC energies, the central source undergoes through a phase transition from hadronic gas to quark-gluon plasma (QGP) liquid phase; meanwhile, the target/projectile sources remain in the state of hadronic gas. The present work confirms that the QGP is of liquid type rather than that of a gas. The whole region of participants undergoes through a mixed phase consisting of a large quantity of (>90%) QGP liquid and a small quantity of (<10%) hadronic gas.
