MAS-Bench: A Unified Benchmark for Shortcut-Augmented Hybrid Mobile GUI Agents

Shortcuts such as APIs and deep-links have emerged as efficient complements to flexible GUI operations, fostering a promising hybrid paradigm for MLLM-based mobile automation. However, systematic evaluation of GUI-shortcut hybrid agents remains largely underexplored. To bridge this gap, we introduce MAS-Bench, a benchmark that pioneers the evaluation of GUI-shortcut hybrid agents with a specific focus on the mobile domain. Beyond merely using predefined shortcuts, MAS-Bench assesses an agent's capability to autonomously generate shortcuts by discovering and creating reusable, low-cost workflows. It features 139 complex tasks across 11 real-world applications, a knowledge base of 88 predefined shortcuts (APIs, deep-links, RPA scripts), and 9 evaluation metrics. Experiments demonstrate that hybrid agents achieve up to 68.3% success rate and 39% greater execution efficiency than GUI-only counterparts. Furthermore, our evaluation framework effectively reveals the quality gap between predefined and agent-generated shortcuts, validating its capability to assess shortcut generation methods. MAS-Bench addresses the lack of systematic benchmarks for GUI-shortcut hybrid mobile agents, providing a foundational platform for future advancements in creating more efficient and robust intelligent agents. SAR/ISAR Imaging in 6G Network

Imaging is a crucial sensing function that finds wide applications in environmental reconstruction, autonomous driving, etc. However, the signal processing methods for existing radio imaging techniques, such as millimeter wave (mmWave) imaging, require high-resolution range estimation enabled by Gigahertz-level or even Terahertz-level bandwidth, and cannot be applied in 6G integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) network with Megahertz-level bandwidth. This paper proposes two novel high-resolution radio imaging schemes that can work on the 6G signals with limited bandwidth - bandwidth-independent synthetic aperture radar (BI-SAR), where the movable base station (BS) revolves along the static targets by 360 degrees; as well as bandwidth-independent inverse synthetic aperture radar (BI-ISAR), where the BS is static and the targets revolve along an axis by 360 degrees. Different from conventional SAR and ISAR counterparts that rely on range estimation, our proposed imaging schemes solely utilize Doppler information to perform imaging without any range information. The main technical challenge of our schemes lies in the anisotropic scattering functions over different directions, which hinder the coherent synthesis of the backscattered signals from all directions. We design an iterative adaptive approach-based Doppler association (IAA-DA) algorithm to tackle the above issue. Moreover, we also derive the imaging resolution to characterize the reconstruction quality. Real-world experiments are provided to show the feasibility and the effectiveness of our proposed 6G imaging schemes.

DF-3DRME: A Data-Friendly Learning Framework for 3D Radio Map Estimation based on Super-Resolution Technique

High-Resolution three-dimensional (3D) radio maps (RMs) provide rich information about the radio landscape that is essential to a myriad of wireless applications in the future wireless networks. Although deep learning (DL) methods have shown their effectiveness in RM construction, existing approaches require massive high-resolution 3D RM samples in the training dataset, the acquisition of which is labor-intensive and time-consuming in practice. In this paper, our goal is to devise a data-friendly high-resolution 3D RM construction solution via training over a hybrid dataset, wherein the RMs associated with a small fraction of environment maps (EMs) are of high-resolution, while those corresponding to the majority of EMs are of low-resolution. To this end, we propose a Data-Friendly 3D Radio Map Estimator (DF-3DRME), which comprises two processing stages. Specifically, in the first stage, we leverage the abundant low-resolution 3D RM samples to train a neural network, termed the LR-Net, for predicting the low-resolution 3D RM from the input EM, which provides a coarse characterization of the spatial radio propagation. In the second stage, we employ an advanced super-resolution network, termed the SR-Net, to upscale the predicted low-resolution 3D RM to its high-resolution counterpart. Unlike the LR-Net, the SR-Net can be effectively trained with only the limited high-resolution 3D RM samples available in the hybrid dataset. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves compelling reconstruction performance with only 4% of the EMs in the dataset having high-resolution 3D RM labels, which significantly reduces data acquisition overhead and facilitates practical deployment.

AIDABench: AI Data Analytics Benchmark

As AI-driven document understanding and processing tools become increasingly prevalent in real-world applications, the need for rigorous evaluation standards has grown increasingly urgent. Existing benchmarks and evaluations often focus on isolated capabilities or simplified scenarios, failing to capture the end-to-end task effectiveness required in practical settings. To address this gap, we introduce AIDABench, a comprehensive benchmark for evaluating AI systems on complex data analytics tasks in an end-to-end manner. AIDABench encompasses 600+ diverse document analysis tasks across three core capability dimensions: question answering, data visualization, and file generation. These tasks are grounded in realistic scenarios involving heterogeneous data types, including spreadsheets, databases, financial reports, and operational records, and reflect analytical demands across diverse industries and job functions. Notably, the tasks in AIDABench are sufficiently challenging that even human experts require 1-2 hours per question when assisted by AI tools, underscoring the benchmark's difficulty and real-world complexity. We evaluate 11 state-of-the-art models on AIDABench, spanning both proprietary (e.g., Claude Sonnet 4.5, Gemini 3 Pro Preview) and open-source (e.g., Qwen3-Max-2026-01-23-Thinking) families. Our results reveal that complex, real-world data analytics tasks remain a significant challenge for current AI systems, with the best-performing model achieving only 59.43% pass-at-1. We provide a detailed analysis of failure modes across each capability dimension and identify key challenges for future research. AIDABench offers a principled reference for enterprise procurement, tool selection, and model optimization, and is publicly available at https://github.com/MichaelYang-lyx/AIDABench.

Optimized growth of large-size, high quality $\text{ZrTe}_5$ single crystals enabling clear quantum oscillations in electrical transport

Quantum oscillation with nontrivial Berry phase is one of the characteristics of topological materials. As a Dirac semimetal candidate, zirconium pentatelluride ($\text{ZrTe}_5$) stands out as an intriguing material for investigating topological phase transitions and Dirac fermion physics; however, the extreme sensitivity of its electronic properties to stoichiometric variations and crystalline defects has hindered consistent experimental observation. Here, we report an optimized Te-flux synthesis method designed to produce centimeter-scale, high-quality single crystals meanwhile minimizing extrinsic carrier contamination. Comprehensive morphology, structural and chemical characterizations, including scanning electron microscopy, Laue backscattering and Rietveld refinement, confirm a high-purity $Cmcm$ phase with excellent crystallinity. Furthermore, magnetotransport measurements reveal a remarkably low Shubnikov-de Haas oscillation onset field ($B_{int} \approx 0.38$ T) with an ultra-high mobility of $5.58\times10^5$cm$^2$V$^{-1}$s$^{-1}$ and access to the the quantum limit at $B \approx 1.3$ T, attesting to the superior crystalline quality and the efficacy of this growth optimization. These results demonstrate that growth control is crucial for stabilizing intrinsic electronic behavior in $\text{ZrTe}_5$, establishing a robust platform for exploring topological phase transitions and exotic quantum phenomena in topological semimetals.

Robust High Mobility NLOS UE Beamforming Strategy for Gigantic MIMO

Maintaining robust and stable communication links in high-mobility scenarios is challenging for time-division duplex (TDD) reciprocity-based gigantic MIMO systems due to rapid channel variations, especially in non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions. This paper proposes a user equipment (UE) beamforming strategy that enables reliable links in high mobility without additional pilot overhead. The proposed strategy aligns the UE beamforming direction with the travel axis. Our analysis shows that this choice minimizes the Doppler spread of the channel, resulting in improved temporal stability. We evaluate this approach through simulations in scattering-rich environments representative of gigantic MIMO deployments. Numerical results confirm that movement-aligned UE beamforming enhances link robustness, increases achievable data rates, and reduces pilot signaling requirements, thereby lowering UE power consumption. These findings indicate that travel-axis-aligned UE beamforming is a promising method for improving reliability in future high-mobility wireless systems.

Huawei Cloud Model-as-a-Service on the CloudMatrix384 SuperPod

Scaled-out MoE LLMs and scaled-up SuperPods create new systems challenges for production Model-as-a-Service (MaaS), requiring disaggregation, low-latency communication, and decentralized serving. This report presents xDeepServe, the production serving system behind Huawei Cloud's MaaS offering on CloudMatrix384, a 48-server SuperPod with 384 Ascend 910C chips connected by a high-bandwidth UB fabric and global shared memory. It serves models including DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM, Qwen, and MiniMax, among others. xDeepServe is built around Transformerless, a disaggregated execution architecture that decomposes transformer inference into modular units -- attention, feedforward, and MoE -- and supports disaggregated Prefill-Decode and MoE-Attention deployments. To enable disaggregation, we develop XCCL, a memory-semantic communication layer providing microsecond-level point-to-point and scalable all-to-all primitives, and we extend FlowServe with decentralized DP groups and techniques to mitigate stragglers and synchronization variance. In a peak decoding configuration, xDeepServe reaches 2400 tokens/s per Ascend 910C chip at ~50ms time-per-output-token (TPOT).

On Channel Estimation for Group-Connected Beyond Diagonal RIS Assisted Multi-User MIMO Communication

Beyond diagonal reconfigurable intelligent surface (BD-RIS) architectures offer superior beamforming gain over conventional diagonal RISs. However, the channel estimation overhead is the main hurdle for reaping the above gain in practice. This letter addresses this issue for group-connected BDRIS aided uplink communication from multiple multi-antenna users to one multi-antenna base station (BS). We first reveal that within each BD-RIS group, the cascaded channel associated with one user antenna and one BD-RIS element is a scaled version of that associated with any other user antenna and BD-RIS element due to the common RIS-BS channel. This insight drastically reduces the dimensionality of the channel estimation problem. Building on this property, we propose an efficient two-phase channel estimation protocol. In the first phase, the reference cascaded channels for all groups are estimated in parallel based on common received signals while determining the scaling coefficients for a single reference antenna. In the second phase, the scaling coefficients for all remaining user antennas are estimated. Numerical results demonstrate that our proposed framework achieves substantially lower estimation error with fewer pilot signals compared to state-of-the-art benchmark schemes.

Joint Multi-User Tracking and Signal Detection in Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface-Assisted Cell-Free ISAC Systems

This paper investigates the cell-free multi-user integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system, where multiple base stations collaboratively track the users and detect their signals. Moreover, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) are deployed to serve as additional reference nodes to overcome the line-of-sight blockage issue of mobile users for accomplishing seamless sensing. Due to the high-speed user mobility, the multi-user tracking and signal detection performance can be significantly deteriorated without elaborated online user kinematic state updating principles. To tackle this challenge, we first manage to establish a probabilistic signal model to comprehensively characterize the interdependencies among user states, transmit signals, and received signals during the tracking procedure. Based on the Bayesian problem formulation, we further propose a novel hybrid variational message passing (HVMP) algorithm to realize computationally efficient joint estimation of user states and transmit signals in an online manner, which integrates VMP and standard MP to derive the posterior probabilities of estimated variables. Furthermore, the Bayesian Cramer-Rao bound is provided to characterize the performance limit of the multi-user tracking problem, which is also utilized to optimize RIS phase profiles for tracking performance enhancement. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve both tracking and signal detection performance over the representative Bayesian estimation counterparts.

m^3TrackFormer: Transformer-based mmWave Multi-Target Tracking with Lost Target Re-Acquisition Capability

This paper considers a millimeter wave (mmWave) integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system, where a base station (BS) equipped with a large number of antennas but a small number of radio-frequency (RF) chains emits pencillike narrow beams for persistent tracking of multiple moving targets. Under this model, the tracking lost issue arising from the misalignment between the pencil-like beams and the true target positions is inevitable, especially when the trajectories of the targets are complex, and the conventional Kalman filter-based scheme does not work well. To deal with this issue, we propose a Transformer-based mmWave multi-target tracking framework, namely m3TrackFormer, with a novel re-acquisition mechanism, such that even if the echo signals from some targets are too weak to extract sensing information, we are able to re-acquire their locations quickly with small beam sweeping overhead. Specifically, the proposed framework can operate in two modes of normal tracking and target re-acquisition during the tracking procedure, depending on whether the tracking lost occurs. When all targets are hit by the swept beams, the framework works in the Normal Tracking Mode (N-Mode) with a Transformer encoder-based Normal Tracking Network (N-Net) to accurately estimate the positions of these targets and predict the swept beams in the next time block. While the tracking lost happens, the framework will switch to the Re-Acquisition Mode (R-Mode) with a Transformer decoder-based Re-Acquisition Network (RNet) to adjust the beam sweeping strategy for getting back the lost targets and maintaining the tracking of the remaining targets. Thanks to the ability of global trajectory feature extraction, the m3TrackFormer can achieve high beam prediction accuracy and quickly re-acquire the lost targets, compared with other tracking methods.

Channel Estimation for Double-BD-RIS-Assisted Multi-User MIMO Communication

Deploying multiple beyond diagonal reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (BD-RISs) can potentially improve the communication performance thanks to inter-element connections of each BD-RIS and inter-surface cooperative beamforming gain among BD-RISs. However, a major issue for multi-BD-RISassisted communication lies in the channel estimation overhead - the channel coefficients associated with the off-diagonal elements in each BD-RIS's scattering matrix as well as those associated with the reflection links among BD-RISs have to be estimated. In this paper, we propose an efficient channel estimation framework for double-BD-RIS-assisted multi-user multipleinput multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Specifically, we reveal that high-dimensional cascaded channels are characterized by five low-dimensional matrices by exploiting channel correlation properties. Based on this novel observation, in the ideal noiseless case, we develop a channel estimation scheme to recover these matrices sequentially and characterize the closed-form overhead required for perfect estimation as a function of the numbers of users and each BD-RIS's elements and channel ranks, which is with the same order as that in double-diagonal-RIS-aided communication systems. This exciting result implies the superiority of cooperative BD-RIS-aided communication over the diagonal- RIS counterpart even when channel estimation overhead is considered. We further extend the proposed scheme to practical noisy scenarios and provide extensive numerical simulations to validate its effectiveness.

Quantum Spin-1/2 Rings Built from [2]Triangulene Molecular Units

Quantum spin rings represent fundamental model systems that exhibit distinctive quantum phenomena-such as quantum critical behavior and quasiparticle excitations-arising from their periodic boundary conditions and enhanced quantum fluctuations. Here, we report the on-surface synthesis and atomic-scale characterization of antiferromagnetic S=1/2 quantum spin rings composed of pristine and unmodified [2]triangulene units on a Au(111) surface. Using stepwise on-surface synthesis followed by STM tip-induced dehydrogenation, we precisely constructed cyclic five- and six-membered spin rings and investigated their spin states via scanning probe microscopy and multireference calculations. Nc-AFM imaging reveals that the six-membered ring retains a planar geometry, whereas the five-membered ring exhibits pronounced structural distortion. The six-membered ring hosts a uniform excitation gap that can be accurately described by a Heisenberg spin model and multireference CASCI calculations. In contrast, the distorted five-membered ring displays spin ground states with asymmetric spatial distributions due to degeneracy lifting induced by structural distortion. Our findings establish a versatile molecular platform for exploring correlated magnetism and quantum spin phenomena in cyclic organic magnetic architectures with disorder.

Interplay of Quantum Size Effect and Tensile Strain on Surface Morphology of Sn(100) Islands

The quantum size effect (QSE) and strain effect are two key factors influencing the surface morphology of thin films, which can increase film surface roughness through QSE-induced thickness oscillation and strain-induced island formation, respectively. Surface roughness usually manifests in the early stages of film growth and diminishes beyond a critical thickness. In this work, we employ molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) to grow Sn(100) islands with varying thickness N on bilayer graphene-terminated 6H-SiC(0001) substrates. Scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy measurements reveal an inverse surface roughness effect that highlights the interplay of QSE and misfit strain in shaping the surface morphology of Sn(100) islands. For N =< 10, the islands exhibit flat surfaces, while for N >= 26, the island surfaces become corrugated and patterned. For the intermediate range, i.e., 12 =< N =<24, both flat and patterned surfaces coexist, with the percentage coverage of the patterned surface oscillating as a function of N. By performing density functional theory calculations, we demonstrate that the unusual surface pattern evolution in our MBE-grown Sn(100) islands is a result of the interplay between QSE-induced surface roughing and tensile strain-induced smoothening effect.

A3: Android Agent Arena for Mobile GUI Agents with Essential-State Procedural Evaluation

The advancement of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) has catalyzed the development of mobile graphic user interface (GUI) AI agents, which is designed to autonomously perform tasks on mobile devices. However, a significant gap persists in mobile GUI agent evaluation, where existing benchmarks predominantly rely on either static frame assessments such as AndroidControl or offline static apps such as AndroidWorld and thus fail to capture agent performance in dynamic, real-world online mobile apps. To address this gap, we present Android Agent Arena (A3), a novel "essential-state" based procedural evaluation system for mobile GUI agents. A3 introduces a benchmark of 100 tasks derived from 20 widely-used, dynamic online apps across 20 categories from the Google Play Store, ensuring evaluation comprehension. A3 also presents a novel "essential-state" based procedural evaluation method that leverages MLLMs as reward models to progressively verify task completion and process achievement. This evaluation approach address the limitations of traditional function based evaluation methods on online dynamic apps. Furthermore, A3 includes a toolkit to streamline Android device interaction, reset online environment and apps and facilitate data collection from both human and agent demonstrations. The complete A3 system, including the benchmark and tools, will be publicly released to provide a robust foundation for future research and development in mobile GUI agents.

Finite-Blocklength Information Theory

Traditional asymptotic information-theoretic studies of the fundamental limits of wireless communication systems primarily rely on some ideal assumptions, such as infinite blocklength and vanishing error probability. While these assumptions enable tractable mathematical characterizations, they fail to capture the stringent requirements of some emerging next-generation wireless applications, such as ultra-reliable low latency communication and ultra-massive machine type communication, in which it is required to support a much wider range of features including short-packet communication, extremely low latency, and/or low energy consumption. To better support such applications, it is important to consider finite-blocklength information theory. In this paper, we present a comprehensive review of the advances in this field, followed by a discussion on the open questions. Specifically, we commence with the fundamental limits of source coding in the non-asymptotic regime, with a particular focus on lossless and lossy compression in point-to-point~(P2P) and multiterminal cases. Next, we discuss the fundamental limits of channel coding in P2P channels, multiple access channels, and emerging massive access channels. We further introduce recent advances in joint source and channel coding, highlighting its considerable performance advantage over separate source and channel coding in the non-asymptotic regime. In each part, we review various non-asymptotic achievability bounds, converse bounds, and approximations, as well as key ideas behind them, which are essential for providing engineering insights into the design of future wireless communication systems.

Understanding Toxic Interaction Across User and Video Clusters in Social Video Platforms

Social video platforms shape how people access information, while recommendation systems can narrow exposure and increase the risk of toxic interaction. Previous research has often examined text or users in isolation, overlooking the structural context in which such toxic interactions occur. Without considering who interacts with whom and around what content, it is difficult to explain why negative expressions cluster within particular communities. To address this issue, this study focuses on the Chinese social video platform Bilibili, incorporating video-level information as the environment for user expression, modeling users and videos in an interaction matrix. After normalization and dimensionality reduction, we perform separate clustering on both sides of the video-user interaction matrix with K-means. Cluster assignments facilitate comparisons of user behavior, including message length, posting frequency, and source (barrage and comment), as well as textual features such as sentiment and toxicity, and video attributes defined by uploaders. Such a clustering approach integrates structural ties with content signals to identify stable groups of videos and users. We find clear stratification in interaction style (message length, comment ratio) across user clusters, while sentiment and toxicity differences are weak or inconsistent across video clusters. Across video clusters, viewing volume exhibits a clear hierarchy, with higher exposure groups concentrating more toxic expressions. For such a group, platforms should require timely intervention during periods of rapid growth. Across user clusters, comment ratio and message length form distinct hierarchies, and several clusters with longer and comment-oriented messages exhibit lower toxicity. For such groups, platforms should strengthen mechanisms that sustain rational dialogue and encourage engagement across topics.
