Moments of quadratic Dirichlet $L$-functions over Function Fields

In this paper, we establish the expected order of magnitude of the $k$th-moment of quadratic Dirichlet $L$-functions associated to hyperelliptic curves of genus $g$ as well as of prime moduli over a fixed finite field $\mathbb{F}_{q}$ for all real $k \geq 0$.

Lower bounds for negative moments of $ζ'(ρ)$

We establish lower bounds for the discrete $2k$-th moment of the derivative of the Riemann zeta function at nontrivial zeros for all $k<0$ under the Riemann hypothesis (RH) and the assumption that all zeros of $ζ(s)$ are simple.

Moments and One level density of sextic Hecke $L$-functions of $\mathbb{Q}(ω)$

In this paper, we study moments of central values of sextic Hecke $L$-functions of $\mathbb{Q}(ω)$ and one level density result for the low-lying zeros of sextic Hecke $L$-functions of $\mathbb{Q}(ω)$. As a corollary, we deduce that, assuming GRH, at least $2/45$ of the members of the sextic family do not vanish at $s=1/2$.

Bounds for moments of cubic and quartic Dirichlet $L$-functions

We study the $2k$-th moment of central values of the family of primitive cubic and quartic Dirichlet $L$-functions. We establish sharp lower bounds for all real $k \geq 1/2$ unconditionally for the cubic case and under the Lindelöf hypothesis for the quartic case. We also establish sharp lower bounds for all real $0 \leq k<1/2$ and sharp upper bounds for all real $k \geq 0$ for both the cubic and quartic cases under the generalized Riemann hypothesis (GRH). As an application of our results, we establish quantitative non-vanishing results for the corresponding $L$-values.

Bounds for moments of quadratic Dirichlet $L$-functions of prime-related moduli

In this paper, we study the $k$-th moment of central values of the family of quadratic Dirichlet $L$-functions of moduli $8p$, with $p$ ranging over odd primes. Assuming the truth of the generlized Riemann hypothesis, we establish sharp upper and lower bounds for the $k$-th power moment of these $L$-values for all real $k \geq 0$.

Average values of quadratic Hecke character sums

We study smoothed character sums involving $\sum_{m,n} ( \frac{m}{n} )_2$, where $( \frac{m}{n} )_2$ denotes the quadratic symbol in the Gaussian field. We extend previously known results to obtain asymptotic formulas for the sums considered to larger ranges of $m$ and $n$.

Lower order terms of the one level density of a family of quadratic Hecke $L$-functions

In this paper, we study lower order terms of the $1$-level density of low-lying zeros of quadratic Hecke L-functions in the Gaussian field. Assuming the Generalized Riemann Hypothesis, our result is valid for even test functions whose Fourier transforms are supported in $(-2, 2)$. Moreover, we apply the ratios conjecture of $L$-functions to derive these lower order terms as well. Up to the first lower order term, we show that our results is consistent with each other, when the Fourier transforms of the test functions are supported in $(-2, 2)$.

Value-distribution of quartic Hecke $L$-functions

Set $K=\mathbb{Q}(i)$ and suppose that $c\in \mathbb{Z}[i]$ is a square-free algebraic integer with $c\equiv 1 \imod{\langle16\rangle}$. Let $L(s,χ_{c})$ denote the Hecke $L$-function associated with the quartic residue character modulo $c$. For $σ>1/2$, we prove an asymptotic distribution function $F_σ$ for the values of the logarithm of \begin{equation*} L_c(s)= L(s,χ_c)L(s,\overlineχ_{c}), \end{equation*} as $c$ varies. Moreover, the characteristic function of $F_σ$ is expressed explicitly as a product over the prime ideals of $\mathbb{Z}[i]$.

One level density of low-lying zeros of quadratic Hecke $L$-functions to prime moduli

In this paper, we study the one level density of low-lying zeros of a family of quadratic Hecke $L$-functions to prime moduli over the Gaussian field under the generalized Riemann hypothesis (GRH) and the ratios conjecture. As a corollary, we deduce that at least $75 \%$ of the members of this family do not vanish at the central point under GRH.

Low-lying zeros of a family of quadratic Hecke $L$-functions via ratios conjecture

In this paper, we apply the ratio conjecture of $L$-functions to derive the lower order terms of the $1$-level density of the low-lying zeros of a family quadratic Hecke $L$-functions in the Gaussian field. Up to the first lower order term, we show that our result is consistent with that obtained from previous work under the generalized Riemann hypothesis, when the Fourier transforms of the test functions are supported in $(-2, 2)$.

First Moments of Some Hecke $L$-functions of Prime Moduli

We study the first moments of central values of Hecke $L$-functions associated with quadratic, cubic and quartic symbols to prime moduli. This also enables us to obtain results on first moments of central values of certain families of cubic and quartic Dirichlet $L$-functions of prime moduli.

Mean values of cubic and quartic Dirichlet Characters

We evaluate the average of cubic and quartic Dirichlet character sums with the modulus going up to a size comparable to the length of the individual sums. This generalizes a result of Conrey, Farmer and Soundararajan on quadratic Dirichlet character sums.
