Amplitude analysis for charmed meson decays at BESIII

Amplitude analysis bridges the gap between experimental measurements of multibody charmed-meson decays and theoretical predictions of intermediate two-body processes. This work presents a comprehensive overview of the amplitude-analysis methodology employed by the BESIII Collaboration, emphasizing practical implementation. We detail the construction of the probability density function and likelihood function for unbinned maximum-likelihood fits. This encompasses Monte Carlo integration techniques for normalization, the incorporation of detection efficiency and resolution effects, and multidimensional background modeling utilizing XGBoost classifiers. Furthermore, we describe the amplitude formalism for both hadronic and semileptonic decays, incorporating standard resonance-propagator parametrizations. Key analytical aspects, including the evaluation of fit fractions, the generation of kinematic projections, and the estimation of statistical uncertainties, are also discussed.

Charmed hadron decays at BESIII

I present here a selection of preliminary results on charmed hadron decays from BESIII collaboration, including the study of $D^{+}\to K^{-}π^{+}e^{+}ν_{e}$, the measurement of the form factors in $D^{+}\to ωe^{+}ν_{e}$ and the search for $D^{+}\to ϕe^{+}ν_{e}$, the study of decay dynamics and \emph{CP} asymmetry in $D^{+}\to K^{0}_{L} e^{+}ν_{e}$, and the measurements of the absolute branching fractions of twelve Cabbibo-favored hadronic $\lambdacp$ decay modes and $Λ^+_c\rightarrow Λe^+ν_e$. The results are based on the data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the $ψ(3770)$ peak and at central-of-mass energy of $4.599$~GeV.

Recent results from BESIII experiment

In this talk, we present a selection of recent results from BESIII collaboration, including observation of the charmoniumlike states, Zc(3900), Zc(4020) and Zc(4025); observation of e+e- -> gamma X(3872); partial wave analysis of J/psi -> gamma eta eta; measurement of D+ -> mu+ nu and D0 -> K- e+ nu, pi- e+ nu. The results are based on the data samples collected with the BESIII detector at central-of-mass energies from 3.900 to 4.420 GeV, and at the energies of J/psi and psi(3770) resonances.

Recent Results from BESIII experiment

We report some recent results on charmonium spectroscopy and hadron spectroscopy from BESIII experiment, including the measurements of the masses and widths of $h_c$, $η_c$, $η_c(2S)$ and some new resonances around 2 GeV. The results are based on a data sample of 106 million $ψ^\prime$ events and 226 million J/$ψ$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider.

Study of Scalar Mesons at BES

Partial wave analyses have been performed on BES data to study scalar mesons. There is evidence for the $κ$ near the $Kπ$ threshold and the pole position is $(760\sim840) -$i$(310\sim 420)$ MeV. The $σ$ peak is seen in $ωπ^+π^-$ and gives an accurate pole position, $(541\pm39)-$i$(252\pm42)$ MeV. The $f_0(980)$ is seen in both $ϕπ^+π^-$ and $ϕK^+K^-$ data. Parameters of the Flatt\' e formula for $f_0(980)$ are: $M = 965 \pm 8(sta) \pm 6(sys) $ MeV, $g_1 = 165 \pm 10(sta) \pm 15(sys)$ MeV, $g_2/g_1 = 4.21 \pm 0.25(sta) \pm 0.21(sys)$. The $J/ψ\to ϕπ^+π^-$ data require $f_0(1790)\toπ^+π^-$, distinct from $f_0(1710)\to K^+K^-$. Also $f_0(1370)$ is seen clearly in $ϕπ^+π^-$ data.
