Revisiting integral functionals of geometric Brownian motion

In this paper we revisit the integral functional of geometric Brownian motion $I_t= \int_0^t e^{-(μs +σW_s)}ds$, where $μ\in\mathbb{R}$, $σ> 0$, and $(W_s )_s>0$ is a standard Brownian motion. Specifically, we calculate the Laplace transform in $t$ of the cumulative distribution function and of the probability density function of this functional.

On moments of integral exponential functionals of additive processes

For real-valued additive process $(X\_t)\_{t\geq 0}$ a recursive equation is derived for the entire positive moments of functionals $$I\_{s,t}= \int \_s^t\exp(-X\_u)du, \quad 0\leq s<t\leq\infty, $$ in case the Laplace exponent of $X\_t$ exists for positive values of the parameter. From the equation emergesan easy-to-apply sufficient condition for the finiteness of the moments. As an application we study first hitprocesses of diffusions.

Utility maximization for L{é}vy switching models

This article is devoted to the maximisation of HARA utilities of L{é}vy switching process on finite time interval via dual method. We give the description of all f-divergence minimal martingale measures in initially enlarged filtration, the expression of their Radon-Nikodym densities involving Hellinger and Kulback-Leibler processes, the expressions of the optimal strategies in progressively enlarged filtration for the maximisation of HARA utilities as well as the values of the corresponding maximal expected utilities. The example of Brownian switching model is presented to give the financial interpretation of the results.

On The Ruin Problem With Investment When The Risky Asset Is A Semimartingale

In this paper, we study the ruin problem with investment in a general framework where the business part X is a L{é}vy process and the return on investment R is a semimartingale. We obtain upper bounds on the finite and infinite time ruin probabilities that decrease as a power function when the initial capital increases. When R is a L{é}vy process, we retrieve the well-known results. Then, we show that these bounds are asymptotically optimal in the finite time case, under some simple conditions on the characteristics of X. Finally, we obtain a condition for ruin with probability one when X is a Brownian motion with negative drift and express it explicitly using the characteristics of R.

Utility Maximisation for Exponential Levy Models with option and information processes

We consider expected utility maximisation problem for exponential Levy models and HARA utilities in presence of illiquid asset in portfolio. This illiquid asset is modelled by an option of European type on another risky asset which is correlated with the first one. Under some hypothesis on Levy processes, we give the expressions of information processes figured in maximum utility formula. As applications, we consider Black-Scholes models with correlated Brownian Motions, and also Black-Scholes models with jump part represented by Poisson process.

Utility maximisation and utility indifference price for exponential semi-martingale models with random factor

We consider utility maximization problem for semi-martingale models depending on a random factor $ξ$. We reduce initial maximization problem to the conditional one, given $ξ=u$, which we solve using dual approach. For HARA utilities we consider information quantities like Kullback-Leibler information and Hellinger integrals, and corresponding information processes. As a particular case we study exponential Levy models depending on random factor. In that case the information processes are deterministic and this fact simplify very much indifference price calculus. Then we give the equations for indifference prices. We show that indifference price for seller and minus indifference price for buyer are risk measures. Finally, we apply the results to Geometric Brownian motion case. Using identity in law technique we give the explicit expression for information quantities. Then, the previous formulas for indifference price can be applied.
