The nonfactorizable QED correction to the $\overline{B}_{s}$ ${\to}$ $D_{s}^{(\ast)} {\ell} \barν_{\ell}$ decays

Considering the nonfactorizable QED corrections, the branching ratios and ratios of branching ratios $R(D_{s}^{({\ast})})$ for the semileptonic $\overline{B}_{s}$ ${\to}$ $D_{s}^{(\ast)} {\ell} \barν_{\ell}$ decays are reevaluated. It is found that (a) the QED contributions can enhance the branching ratios and reduce the ratios $R(D_{s}^{({\ast})})$. (b) The $SU(3)$ flavor symmetry holds basically well in the ratios $R(D)$-$R(D^{\ast})$ for the semileptonic charmed $\overline{B}_{u,d,s}$ decays. (c) The current theoretical uncertainties of branching ratios ${\cal B}(\overline{B}_{s} {\to} D_{s}^{\ast} {\ell} \barν_{\ell})$ from the form factors are very large.

The QED nonfactorizable correction to the semileptonic charmed three-body $B$ decays

In this paper, the nonfactorizable photonic corrections to the effective four-fermion vertex for the $\overline{B}$ ${\to}$ $D^{({\ast})}$ $+$ ${\ell}^{-}$ $+$ $\barν_{\ell}$ decays are considered at the quark level within SM, where ${\ell}$ $=$ $e$, $μ$ and $τ$. It is found that the QED corrections are closely related with the mass of the charged lepton. The QED contributions will enhance branching ratios, which results in the slight reduction of ratios $R(D^{(\ast)})$ and the relationship $R(D^{(\ast)})_{e}$ $<$ $R(D^{(\ast)})_μ$.

An End-Cloud Computing Enabled Surveillance Video Transmission System

The enormous data volume of video poses a significant burden on the network. Particularly, transferring high-definition surveillance videos to the cloud consumes a significant amount of spectrum resources. To address these issues, we propose a surveillance video transmission system enabled by end-cloud computing. Specifically, the cameras actively down-sample the original video and then a redundant frame elimination module is employed to further reduce the data volume of surveillance videos. Then we develop a key-frame assisted video super-resolution model to reconstruct the high-quality video at the cloud side. Moreover, we propose a strategy of extracting key frames from source videos for better reconstruction performance by utilizing the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of adjacent frames to measure the propagation distance of key frame information. Simulation results show that the developed system can effectively reduce the data volume by the end-cloud collaboration and outperforms existing video super-resolution models significantly in terms of PSNR and structural similarity index (SSIM).

Study of the nonleptonic charmless $B$ ${\to}$ $SS$ decays with the QCD factorization approach

Inspired by the brilliant prospects of the ongoing $B$ meson experiments, the hadronic charmless $B$ ${\to}$ $SS$ decays are studied by considering the next-to-leading (NLO) contributions with the QCD factorization approach, where $S$ denotes the scalar mesons $K_{0}^{\ast}(1430)$ and $a_{0}(1450)$. Branching ratios and $CP$ violating asymmetries are estimated with the updated values of hadronic parameters obtained from a covariant light-front quark model, for two scenarios where the scalar mesons are the $1^{3}P_{0}$ and $2^{3}P_{0}$ states. It is found that the NLO contributions are very important for the $B$ ${\to}$ $SS$ decays; For the $B$ ${\to}$ $a_{0}(1450)K_{0}^{\ast}(1430)$ and $B_{s}$ ${\to}$ $K_{0}^{\ast}(1430)\overline{K}_{0}^{\ast}(1430)$ decays, branching ratios can reach up to the order of ${\cal O}(10^{-5})$ by assuming that the scalar mesons are the $1P$ states, and should first be investigated in the future experiments.

Possibility of experimental study on nonleptonic $B_{c}^{\ast}$ weak decays

The ground vector $B_{c}^{\ast}$ meson has not yet been experimentally discovered until now. Besides the dominant electromagnetic decays, nonleptonic weak decays provide another choice to search for the mysterious $B_{c}^{\ast}$ mesons. Inspired by the potential prospects of $B_{c}^{\ast}$ mesons in future high-luminosity colliders, nonleptonic $B_{c}^{\ast}$ weak decays induced by bottom and charm quark decays are studied within the SM by using a naive factorization approach. It is found that for $B_{c}^{\ast}$ ${\to}$ $B_{s,d}π$, $B_{s,d}^{\ast}π$, $B_{s,d}ρ$, $B_{s}K$, $B_{s}^{\ast}K$, $B_{s}K^{\ast}$, $η_{c}(1S,2S)π$, $η_{c}(1S,2S)ρ$ and $ψ(1S,2S)π$ decays, a few hundred and even thousand of events might be observable in CEPC, FCC-ee and LHCb@HL-LHC experiments.

A unified framework of predicting binary interestingness of images based on discriminant correlation analysis and multiple kernel learning

In the modern content-based image retrieval systems, there is an increasingly interest in constructing a computationally effective model to predict the interestingness of images since the measure of image interestingness could improve the human-centered search satisfaction and the user experience in different applications. In this paper, we propose a unified framework to predict the binary interestingness of images based on discriminant correlation analysis (DCA) and multiple kernel learning (MKL) techniques. More specially, on the one hand, to reduce feature redundancy in describing the interestingness cues of images, the DCA or multi-set discriminant correlation analysis (MDCA) technique is adopted to fuse multiple feature sets of the same type for individual cues by taking into account the class structure among the samples involved to describe the three classical interestingness cues, unusualness,aesthetics as well as general preferences, with three sets of compact and representative features; on the other hand, to make good use of the heterogeneity from the three sets of high-level features for describing the interestingness cues, the SimpleMKL method is employed to enhance the generalization ability of the built model for the task of the binary interestingness classification. Experimental results on the publicly-released interestingness prediction data set have demonstrated the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed framework in the binary prediction of image interestingness where we have conducted several groups of comparative studies across different interestingness feature combinations, different interestingness cues, as well as different feature types for the three interestingness cues.
