A foamy approach to Soergel bimodules

The aim of this short note is to establish a 2-equivalence between a certain 2-category of foams and that of singular Soergel bimodules of type A.

Symmetries of equivariant Khovanov-Rozansky homology

We construct an $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-action on equivariant $\mathfrak{gl}_N$-link homologies. As a consequence we obtain an action of $\mathfrak{sl}_2$ on these homologies as well as a $p$-DG structures for $p$ a prime number. We explore topological applications of these structures.

MOY calculus in type D

We define a positive state sum for webs "of type D". These webs are graphs which mimic morphisms in the category of finite-dimensional quantum so(2N)-modules. From the state sum, we derive an invariant of framed unoriented links. After giving explicit details about some intertwiners in the category of quantum so(2N)-modules, we relate our state-sum link invariant with Reshetikhin--Turaev's invariant associated with quantum so(2N).

A proof of Dunfield-Gukov-Rasmussen Conjecture

In 2005 Dunfield, Gukov and Rasmussen conjectured an existence of the spectral sequence from the reduced triply graded Khovanov-Rozansky homology of a knot to its knot Floer homology defined by Ozsváth and Szabó. The main result of this paper is a proof of this conjecture. For this purpose, we construct a bigraded spectral sequence from the $\mathfrak{gl}_0$ homology constructed by the last two authors to the knot Floer homology. Using the fact that the $\mathfrak{gl}_0$ homology comes equipped with a spectral sequence from the reduced triply graded homology, we obtain our main result. The first spectral sequence is of Bockstein type and comes from a subtle manipulation of coefficients. The main tools are quantum traces of foams and of singular Soergel bimodules and a $\mathbb Z$-valued cube of resolutions model for knot Floer homology originally constructed by Ozsváth and Szabó over the field of two elements. As an application, we deduce that the $\mathfrak{gl}_0$ homology as well as the reduced triply graded Khovanov-Rozansky one detect the unknot, the two trefoils, the figure eight knot and the cinquefoil.

Symmetries of $\mathfrak{gl}_N$-foams

We give an action of a Lie subalgebra of the Witt algebra on foams. This action is compatible with the $\mathfrak{gl}_N$-foam evaluation formula. In particular, this endows states spaces associated with $\mathfrak{gl}_N$-webs with an $\mathfrak{sl}_2$-action. When working in positive characteristic, this can be used to define a $p$-DG structure on these state spaces.

A topological theory of unoriented SL(4) foams

Unoriented SL(3) foams are two-dimensional CW complexes with generic singularities embedded in 3- and 4-manifolds. They naturally come up in the Kronheimer-Mrowka SO(3) gauge theory for 3-orbifolds and, in the oriented case, in a categorification of the Kuperberg bracket quantum invariant. The present paper studies the more technically complicated case of SL(4) foams. Combinatorial evaluation of unoriented SL(4) foams is defined and state spaces for it are studied. In particular, over a suitably localized ground ring, the state space of any web is free of the rank given by the number of its 4-colorings.

A categorification of the colored Jones polynomial at a root of unity

There is a $p$-differential on the triply-graded Khovanov--Rozansky homology of knots and links over a field of positive characteristic $p$ that gives rise to an invariant in the homotopy category finite-dimensional $p$-complexes. A differential on triply-graded homology discovered by Cautis is compatible with the $p$-differential structure. As a consequence we get a categorification of the colored Jones polynomial evaluated at a $2p$th root of unity.

Conical SL(3) foams

In the unoriented SL(3) foam theory, singular vertices are generic singularities of two-dimensional complexes. Singular vertices have neighbourhoods homeomorphic to cones over the one-skeleton of the tetrahedron, viewed as a trivalent graph on the two-sphere. In this paper we consider foams with singular vertices with neighbourhoods homeomorphic to cones over more general planar trivalent graphs. These graphs are subject to suitable conditions on their Kempe equivalence Tait coloring classes and include the dodecahedron graph. In this modification of the original homology theory it is straightforward to show that modules associated to the dodecahedron graph are free of rank 60, which is still an open problem for the original unoriented SL(3) foam theory.

Link homology and Frobenius extensions II

The first two sections of the paper provide a convenient scheme and additional diagrammatics for working with Frobenius extensions responsible for key flavors of equivariant SL(2) link homology theories. The goal is to clarify some basic structures in the theory and propose a setup to work over sufficiently non-degenerate base rings. The third section works out two related SL(2) evaluations for seamed surfaces.

Symmetric Khovanov--Rozansky link homologies

We provide a finite dimensional categorification of the symmetric evaluation of $\mathfrak{sl}_N$-webs using foam technology. As an output we obtain a symmetric link homology theory categorifying the link invariant associated to symmetric powers of the standard representation of $\mathfrak{sl}_N$. In addition, the construction is actually made in an equivariant setting. We prove also that there is a spectral sequence from the Khovanov-Rozansky triply graded link homology to the symmetric one and provide along the way a foam interpretation of Soergel bimodules.

State sums for some super quantum link invariants

We present state sums for quantum link invariants arising from the representation theory of $U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_{N|M})$. We investigate the case of the $N$-th exterior power of the standard representation of $U_q(\mathfrak{gl}_{N|1})$ and explicit the relation with Kashaev invariants.

A quantum categorification of the Alexander polynomial

Using a modified foam evaluation, we give a categorification of the Alexander polynomial of a knot. We also give a purely algebraic version of this knot homology which makes it appear as the infinite page of a spectral sequence starting at the reduced triply graded link homology of Khovanov--Rozansky.

Principally Box-integer Polyhedra and Equimodular Matrices

A polyhedron is box-integer if its intersection with any integer box $\{\ell\leq x \leq u\}$ is integer. We define principally box-integer polyhedra to be the polyhedra $P$ such that $kP$ is box-integer whenever $kP$ is integer. We characterize them in several ways, involving equimodular matrices and box-total dual integral (box-TDI) systems. A rational $r\times n$ matrix is equimodular if it has full row rank and its nonzero $r\times r$ determinants all have the same absolute value. A face-defining matrix is a full row rank matrix describing the affine hull of a face of the polyhedron. Box-TDI systems are systems which yield strong min-max relations, and the underlying polyhedron is called a box-TDI polyhedron. Our main result is that the following statements are equivalent. - The polyhedron $P$ is principally box-integer. - The polyhedron $P$ is box-TDI. - Every face-defining matrix of $P$ is equimodular. - Every face of $P$ has an equimodular face-defining matrix. - Every face of $P$ has a totally unimodular face-defining matrix. - For every face $F$ of $P$, lin($F$) has a totally unimodular basis. Along our proof, we show that a cone $\{x:Ax\leq \mathbf{0}\}$ is box-TDI if and only if it is box-integer, and that these properties are passed on to its polar. We illustrate the use of these characterizations by reviewing well known results about box-TDI polyhedra. We also provide several applications. The first one is a new perspective on the equivalence between two results about binary clutters. Secondly, we refute a conjecture of Ding, Zang, and Zhao about box-perfect graphs. Thirdly, we discuss connections with an abstract class of polyhedra having the Integer Carathéodory Property. Finally, we characterize the box-TDIness of the cone of conservative functions of a graph and provide a corresponding box-TDI system.

A closed formula for the evaluation of $\mathfrak{sl}_N$-foams

We give a purely combinatorial formula for evaluating closed decorated foams. Our evaluation gives an integral polynomial and is directly connected to an integral equivariant version of the $\mathfrak{sl}_N$ link homology categorifying the $\mathfrak{sl}_N$ link polynomial. We also provide connections to the equivariant cohomology rings of partial flag manifolds.
